((Two story, and I really have no idea what would be considered average but it's just enough for her, her parents, and her dad to have an office.))
Scarlet nodded. "Dad's working in his office. I'm not supposed to have a boy over home alone as that's 'highly innappropriate'." She handed him his glass of water and sipped on her soda. "So then, Latin?"

"Sure." Daniel went into their living room with Scarlet, and opened his textbook. He looked around the room. "Big house you've got." He looked at the pictures on the mantle above the fireplace, and saw the pictures of Scarlet's family. Daniel recalled his house with his family. He quickly shut those thoughts down. He didn't want to get sad in front of his first friend in years. He quickly looked back at his textbook, feeling his eyes get blurry. He blinked, trying to stop himself from crying.

Scarlet frowned. "Hey..." She rested a hand on his arm. She noticed him looking at the pictures and saw the way he seemed to grow...saddened. "Something wrong?"
Dec. 2, 2012 at 7:51 pm
Daniel shook his head fast. "No." But his voice cracked, as if he had been crying. He ran his sleeve across his face. "Do you have a restroom?" He wanted to leave the room before his heart rate got too high and he...changed. He looked up at Scarlet, his eyes filled with urgency.

Scarlet nodded. "Just go through the kitchen, there's one next to the back door."
Dec. 2, 2012 at 8:23 pm
Daniel excused himself, and dashed down the hall. He found the bathroom, flung himself inside, and locked the door. He could feel his heart beating faster and faster, with the nerves of shifting in front of Scarlet increasing along with the beating. He splashed cool water on his face, looked into the mirror, and saw his eyes glow blue.
Dec. 2, 2012 at 8:28 pm
Scarlet chewed on his lip. Did seeing the pictures trigger some sort of bad memory? Did he just run off to cry or something?"\
Dec. 2, 2012 at 8:35 pm
Daniel clenched his teeth and shut his eyes. He grabbed on to the edges of the sink and gripped his hands tight. He fought to control his emotion, and lower his heartbeat. Sweat beaded on his forhead, and he could feel himself start shifting. Before anyone could see anything, he opened the door, ran through the hall and sprinted out the front door with a loud bang. He felt bad for leaving Scarlet, but he couldn't shift in front of her. Not as soon as he'd made a friend.
Dec. 2, 2012 at 8:38 pm
Scarlet winced, staring down at her hands in her lap. So much for that... "Scar?" Her dad came around the corner. "What was that? Where's your friend?"
Scarlet grimaced. "He left." She wasn't sure what else to say. She didn't want to lie, or assume anything.
Dec. 2, 2012 at 8:43 pm
Daniel ran as fast as he could, as far away as he could get from Scarlet's house. He howled, feeling like a traitor for bailing. He hated his curse. He couldn't do anything without something happening. He dropped for all fours as he continued shifting, and ran until he reached a little outcove by a lake a few miles away. He went inside and curled up, trying to calm himself down.

Scarlet went up to her room and shut the door, locking it before falling face first onto her bed. She huffed and fought back the temptation to cry, feeling that was too severe of a reaction. But still, it kind of hurt that he just ran out on her like that without saying anything...and he left his book.

~Next Day~
Daniel trudged his way to school, still feeling the effects of last night. He was scared to see Scarlet, he felt bad for what happened at her house. He slunk into Latin, trying to avoid all eyes and keeping his head down so people couldn't see his bloodshot eyes and bruised face.
Dec. 3, 2012 at 11:24 am
Scarlet spotted him coming into class and her heart sank when she noticed he didn't look so good. With every other seat taken he had no choice but to sit beside her. And she had his book in her lap.
Dec. 3, 2012 at 9:15 pm
Daniel saw Scarlet sit next to him, and he looked away with guilt. She was holding his textbook, he had left it at her house. He looked at the wall, trying to avoid meeting Scarlet's eyes.

((Oops sorry Daniel saw Scarlet sitting* next to him))
Dec. 3, 2012 at 9:19 pm
Scarlet set the book in front of him. "I'm not that upset, you know. As long as you're sorry, that is." She told him.
Dec. 4, 2012 at 12:03 pm
Daniel looked up. He saw her holding his book out to him, her eyes sincere. He met her eyes, and took the book. He knew he probably looked like a mess, sleeping by a lake while being a wolf will do that to you. His eyes were bloodshot, his cheekbones bruised, and his knuckles scabbed and scarred with dry blood. "Thanks." He muttered. "Yea I'm sorry. I really didn't wanna leave like that. I mean, I wanted to stay with you."
Dec. 4, 2012 at 3:34 pm
Scarlet shook her head. "Don't worry about it. No hard feelings. It was a little embarrassing though..." She sighed. "May I ask what exactly happened?"
Dec. 4, 2012 at 8:52 pm
Daniel closed his eyes. Scarlet was asking, what could he say? Umm, I'm a werewolf and I'm in love with you so I didn't wanna bite you and curse you for all eternity? No. So what could he say? "Ummm...." He stammered. "I forgot I had to do something for my mom. Sorry." Daniel winced. He hated lying, but it was for her protection.
Dec. 4, 2012 at 8:57 pm
Scarlet looked down. "And...um...what about...well why do you look so bad now? Did someone hurt you?" She didn't want to say what she was thinking hut she wondered if he wasn't being abused by his parents.
