"Latin." Scarlet said without a moment of consideration. "I love that entire class, and not just because I got to sleep through it most of this morning's class."
"So you like Mrs. Hendinberg?" Daniel asked, wondering how she could like her. Then again, the only reason Daniel didn't like her is because she always smelled like cats. Just something that bugged him. "Latin is hard. I don't know I'm just not good at languages."
"Is that her name?" Scarlet shook her head and sighed. "I've always taken an interest in learning Latin. I actually do well with it."
Daniel took this as an opportunity. "Maybe you could help me sometime? I mean, it's scientifically proven girls are better with languages than guys. So could you help me raise my C average?" He smiled at her, hoping she would say yes.
Scarlet considered it a moment. Well...he could just be trying to get close with her... But then again, he was cute enough, she wouldn't mind that. She nodded once she'd decided. "Sure. I'd be glad to."
Daniel mentally shouted "Yes!" He tried to look like it wasn't a big deal, but when you never really talk to people and then a pretty girl agrees to tutor you, it's exciting. He heard the lunch bell ring, and asked Scarlet where she was going. "Oh, and I'm Daniel by the way."
"Scarlet. And I'm off to English, what about you?" Scarlet couldn't help but feel glad. It felt like she was finally making a friend in school.
"Oh I'm off to science. But you're in my math class after, so I'll see you there." He smiled at his first friend in a long time. He felt like he was becoming normal, not like the freak he really was. He actually felt like he belonged.
Scarlet smiled, "Okay. I guess we'll have to make plans to meet up after school so I can help you with Latin..."
Daniel nodded. He scribbled on a piece of paper, and handed it to her. It was his number. "I gotta go, science. See you in math!"
Scarlet nodded. "Okay." She then headed off to class, and she caught herself looking forward to math, which was extremely unusual because she hated math. But then she'd see him again...
((Wanna skip to math?))
((Well unless anything big is going to happen then, we could skip all the way to them meeting up for Scarlet to help him study.))
((Ohh ok. How about after school, like before they meet? And should Scarlet found out soon??))
((She should find out soon, but I'll set that up. She'll tell him about her nightmares and then we'll go from there until she finds out either by being told or having it revealed or even figuring it out.))
Scarlet waited patiently for Daniel to show up. She had told him to just come by her house and had given him directions, unknowing to the fact that he might already know the way.
Daniel walked down the street he had crept along the other night. She had given him directions, but he remembered the way from the other night. He got to the house, hesitant to enter. He stood on the porch, just staring at the door. Maybe this was a bad idea. He thought.
Scarlet grew increasingly impatient and decided to go sit out on the front porch for fresh air. She opened the door and smiled when she saw him there. "Hello there. You gonna come in or what?"
Daniel smiled, and nodded. He followed Scarlet into her house, looking around like a lost puppy. I had forgotten what a real house was like... He thought.
Scarlet led him to the kitchen and got a can of coke out of the fridge. "Want anything? Soda? Water? Tea?"
((Is Scarlet's house big or small or normal??))
"Um, water is fine." Daniel stammered. "Are your parents home?" He followed her to a kitchen and saw her get out a glass for water.
