Kyvan sat in his room, washing out his hair and his skin. It would take couple of days for his skin to turn back its normal shade but he could manage to make it look a shade or too lighter than it had.
"Where are you going?" Bright leaned agianst the door frame of his room.
"I'm going to go vist the others." Kyvan said. "I should warn them. And we need to let you-know know."
Bright nodded. "Be careful, KYvan. I don't know what we'd do without you."
Kyvan laughed. "Get into less trouble."
He stood and smiled at Bright as he walked past her. "I'll come back. I promise."
Try frowned, thinking.
"Well we could make a seal for us...not the animal, you like a circle or something with a motto and our name on the outside and some sort of symbol on the inside." she said. She kenw she wasn't being very specific, but she coudln't really think of anything else. She shrugged.
"That's all I got right now." she added looking at the others to see what they thought.
Risk shook hsi head,
Nope, bye Star." he said, he gave her a quick grin and turning ran off to find somewhere to sleep for the night. He whistled as he headed back to the library, maybe he could sleep beind it, then he could sleep more without being worried about being late for work.
Jax grinned impishly and slapped Rhine on the back in a brotherly sort of way. "Girl! I like the way you think."
He turned the way they were walking as they approached the Square wall. The guards who were supposed to be there were passed out with a pile of liquor glasses around them. No one else was in sight.
Jax tossed Rhine a red can of paint. "Alright. I/m going to write "we will never die' in Old and you write it like how people do now." He pointed the Sharp, "You write "Strays'."
"We'll keep our eyes peeled and we'll whistle if someone is coming," Gloss and Stump said and then split up.
Jax looked at Rhine as he started to spray the wall in bright red paint. "Make it big. Just like their crime was."
Try jerked away slightly when Jax hit her, but tried not show it. She shook her can of spay paint and shook it, then she started to 'write'
'WEE WIL NEVAR DII!!" she wrote in large red letters, spelling it so the common people could read, and how it made sense in her mind. She ent over the letters one more time to make them thick and easy to be seen. She then stood up,
"Anything else I can help with?" she asked Jax
((My brain can't think of anything to be a symbol for them...do you have any good ideas? It would need to be something simple so they could paint it quickly before they got caught and stuff...)))
((Yeah I know what you're talking about. I like it :) Let's use that as their sign. BTW are we still waiting for those two other people in WWIII: Old GLory? If so that's fine with me, but I just wanted to make sure you guys were waiting on me.))
Jax slipped his and Sharp's empty can in his satchel. "Time for the symbol. First a circle then inside we are going to place in a really fancy way that the Old wrote 'S'."
"S' for Strays?" Sharp asked.
"You got it," Jax nodded. He glanced around. "Let's make it snappy too. We don't want to be caught."
((oops. Must've hit the bold button again *sigh* I hate it when I do that))
((Okay! I know for a fact I didn't hit it that time!! WHy is it making me write in bold?))
((I don't know why TI's putting things in bold I didn't hit the bold button either for the post above. Oh yeah we're still waiting for Free and 24601.))
Try wasn't exactly sure what a fancy old enlisg 's' looked like, so she decided not to volunteer for the painting of it. She glanced at the soldiers, one was starting to stir, though he probably was still mostly drunk.
"We should git movin' y'all." she muttered eyeing teh gaird.
"Ge' me soooommmeee mooore ru-uuum." the gaurd mumbled drunkenly. Try wanted to make him shut up and be quiet, they didn't need people coming over here, not right now. She llooked to Jax, waiting for him to finish the painting.
"Done." Jax whispered and stepped back to view their handy work. He nodded his approval. There was no way anyone could miss that.
"Come on," Sharp touched Rhine's elbow briefly before hurrying away.
Jax ran after her and Gloss and Stump slipped from their posts after them.
Kyvan walked down the street to the edge of the river. He had entered the next rebel group's territory. He stood under a street light and leaned casually against it and then wrapped on it so the metal rang out with a ping.
It took a second or two before a woman crept out of the shadows. "Kinda late for a boy like you to be walkin' around."
"I've got something I need to tell him." Kyvan said. "It is a code black."
The woman's face turned hard. "You just sent your Creature with word for him today. I saw it pass over head."
Kyvan nodded. "It is a follow up. ANd Wyvern hasn't returned yet. I need your Creature to send the news."
The woman nodded gestured for him to follow. "If you weren't your father's son I might not be so willing. But I also know he would want to know what the outlaw Kyvan Bloodsworth has been up to."
"Has he sent any more word?" Kyvan asked. "Any new instructions?"
The woman shook her head. "He is still out in the wilds-the out skirts of Darkyn's empire. He is gathering supplies and all of the people that fled out there when Darkyn took the throne."
Try stiffened when she was touched, when would learn not to touch her? She hated it. Turning Try ran after the others, she was, sadly, shorter than they were so she had to move fatr to keep up with them. She wasn't that much shorter then them, though, right? She reckoned she had more time to grow anyway, hopefully.
Darkyn listened to Star's report and then nodded her away. He would tell Risk later to keep an eye out for him. Perhaps it had been Bloodsworth...
Darkyn smirked. He hoped so. Then he would've gotten a good hard look at what was about to happen.
Kyvan headed back to the house. He had written his message and had sent it back. He had made arangements to send Wyvern to the other rebel group's place in a week to see if he had been written back.
Try, Sharp, Gloss, Stump, and Jax came back to the house. As soon as the got inside Try gave the ball cap back to the kid she'd 'borrowed' it form. Then she hung the coat up and went to her room. Red was still in her room, playing with Omen. She satd own on the edge of the bed and watched him. She was feeling rather tired after tonight, like she'd been drained of energy all of a sudden. She yawned, and rubbed her eyes.
"Red buddy you want to go to bed?" she asked the little kid.
Kyvan met Jax in his room. Jax was sitting on Kyvan's bed twirling a screwdriver in his hand.
"How did it go?" Kyvan asked.
"We should make a pretty picture on the first page of the news." Jax grinned.
Kyvan nodded. "Good. Now get out so I can go to sleep."
Jax hopped up and started to leave, but he paused and turned, "Ya know...I think Rhine is on our side...maybe you should include her in more."
Kyvan looked at Jax. "You mean tell her?"
Jax smiled. "Just a suggestion, boss. Night."
Kyvan watched as Jax left before climbing onto his bed. He'd worry about it in the morning.
((Yeah. I think they've had a busy enough of a day)))
Try rolled over in her bed and yawned. She stood up and went into the bathroom, her hair was sticking out in every direction and looked like she'd stuck her fingers in an electrical socket. She patted it down and fixed it a bit before grabbing her flat cap that was on her nightstand and putting it on she left her room. She was still in her clothes from yesterday,
Kyvan sat in the kitchen alone staring at the cup of water in his hand. He had been like this for hours now. He had only managed to get a couple of hours of sleep becuase Jax's words kept waking him up.
Normaly he waited a couple of months for the new group member found out who he really was, but Rhine was a special case. She was strong and weak in the same things.
Kyvan gripped his cup tighter. But if he misjudged she could easily tell the athorities who he was and get a nice reward for it too.
And so he had been in this same circular reasoning since before dawn.
Try stepped into the kitchen, she saw Valor stting at the table and drinking coffee. She went to the coffee maker and poured herself a cup then sat down at the other end of th table. Sh epushed her chair onto it's back legs and put her fet up on the table, after positioning herself just-so and making herself comfortable she satrted to sip her coffee, it was hot and helped her wake up more. Try studied Valor closely, wondering what he was thinking about.
"Mornin'" Kyvan grunted at her and took a sip of from his cup.
He kept staring at his cup in his hand but from the corner of his eye he saw her watching him. He really looked at her eyes. They were the key to a soul. They were what really showed what people really were on the inside.
"Rhine...What is your real name?" he asked softly.
Try thought for a few moments, it didn't really matter if he knew did it? She was a nobody, no on eimportant, besides she despretly wanted this family who wasn't really her family to trust her. She wondered if getting a second family counted as 'having friends' which she was forbidden from. She sipped her coffee for a few moments as she made up her mind.
"Tristan." she said, he wondered if she wanted her last name too, but decided to wait until he aske dto tell him that. Try didn't particularly like her last name anyway, it was so girlier and delicate. Gossamer, what kind of a cool and tough last name was that?
