Dia crossed her arms. "Why do I get a feeling there's more behind this than either of you," glancing at Legolas, "Are saying?"

Leif hated to admit it, but Dia was right. His uncle and the other dwarf were truly up to something.

Dia tapped her foot on the ground. "I'm waiting."
Nov. 6, 2012 at 1:32 pm
"Do not question your elders!" Gimili scolded Dia.
Leif bit back a smile. "Well, I for one am going after the beast." He looked hoopefully at Dia, "You can stay behind if you want and go find your hatchet or argue with your elder."
He bowed quickly to his uncle before turning and running down the trail the pig had blazed.

Of course, Dia ran after him, easily keeping the pace. "I'm not letting you destroy him."

Leif smiled. He knew dwarves. Very dangerous and fast at short distances, but they were no long distance runners like elves were. The girl would tire eventually and he could then leave her behind.
"Just try and keep up," Leif replied and then sped up.
Nov. 6, 2012 at 1:40 pm
Dia repsonded to the challenge, having a feeling that she would regret ever metting the stupid elf very soon.
Nov. 6, 2012 at 1:44 pm
Leif followed the trail of the pig. Jumping over the damaged trees and the giant ruts it had made. How could that dwarf think this creature wasn't a disaster? It had compleatly destroyed this forest.

She was running out of breath, but keeping up surprisingly well for a dwarf. "Sweet Dunedan! Will you slow down?!"
Nov. 6, 2012 at 1:51 pm
"You're the one who wanted to tag along!" Leif reminded her. "If you can't keep up than go away and leave me to the task."
Nov. 6, 2012 at 2:21 pm
Dia growled something in Dwarvish under her breath about elves.

Leif smirked. He was getting to her...and so was the run. Maybe she'd leave soon.

Surprisingly, that smirk filled her with energy and she put on a new burst of speed at the unwelcome thought of how attractive he looked when he was right and he knew it.

((Sorry it's taken me so long to reply, but TI wouldn't let me post anything :P))
Leif blinked in surprise as the dwarf gained speed. She was more stubborn than he had originaly thought. He shook his head and kept going. Fine with him if she wanted to run herself to death.
Movement ahead caught Leif's extrodinary eyesight's attention. He there was a large log ahead of them- one Dia was about to jump over. But...something was different about it.
"Dia!" he shouted and lunged forward and knocked her back.
Just as he did so the small dragon struck. It attacekd them like a snake. Leif just managed to bring his bow up but the beast knocked him to the ground. Leif screamed as he was burned badly whereever the boiling-hot dragon touched him.

Quickly, Dia shoved Leif back and grabbed one of his arrows. She stabbed it into the beasts neck, holding it there until it fill. Before it died, though, it smacked her leg. She hissed in pain at the burn but stayed there until it stopped living.

Leif curled his hands in and out, they had blisters all over them and his shirt and pants were black from being burned.
"Are you hurt?" he asked Dia as he stood up and began to generly pick at his supply bag attached to his waist.
Nov. 9, 2012 at 12:39 pm
She glared at him. "No. Let's keep moving, unless you're hurt?"
Nov. 9, 2012 at 8:41 pm
Leif rubbed some healing ointment on his hands and then bandaged them. "Just fine. You're welcome by the way."
