"Oh..." Lieske breathed, standing slowly, brushing off her skirts. Staring at the figure, shaking her head slowly, she stumbled over her words. "But... but you're not real. You can't be. I... I must be dreaming..." They were in a book. And she had no desire to believe it. There had always been some distant hope in her that magic was real, that the adventures read about could be real, a hope that had grown smaller and smaller as she grew older. But they were there. Right?
"I don't know, Lieske..." Jack said. "It seems kind of odd for us all to be experiencing the same thing if it was a dream." He still barely believed it himself, but even though it was a strange idea it was the only one they had.
Chris held onto Jack's hair. "This is scary, how are WE in Neverland."
(I'm baaaack! ^_^ ))
Peter Pan laughed, "Well, you're right about one thing, Jack, this isn't a dream." he laughed and promptly folded his legs under him so he was now cross legged in the air. "You are in the first chapter of the Book of Relms. Everyone always starts here."
Carver sat up and brushed himself off indignatly (sp?). "So how do we get out of here? Grab some pixy dust and fly away?"
Peter laughed again, "You people always thing that's the answer. It will help you but that isn't what will help you Jump. You need a Key to unlock the next Relm."
"So it was that Key that sucked us in here!" Carver shouted.
"Yep," Peter nodded, "And it's the only way out for you I'm afraid."
"So where is this Key?"
Peter's smile turned a little more sinister, "That's where the fun part comes in. It's on Hook's ship."
Chris groaned. "Great, this is fantastic. How many realms are there?!"
"True, true..." she trailed off, shaking head slowly. In that moment, a million questions flew through her head. Where were they, and how did they get there? What was going on? Why were they being chased? And why her? Things like this didn't happen to people like her - heck, they didn't happen at all. She was just Lieske. Plain, regular Lieske. Who wanted to go home, to see her pets, to get ready for the next day. What would her mom think, that she'd run away? The silly woman would believe it was her own fault, too. And yet, Liekse knew. If there was a way to move from books, into different stories... she wouldn't want to go back to the real world. Shaking slightly, she looked to Jack. "Maybe it's not a dream," she spoke in a small voice, "but can I still hope that for now it is?"
((Liekse. Stahp. Stahp panicking. No. No, you didn't leave the stove on. Yes, the dog is fed. Yes, you did remember to lock the door. Now shaddup.))
((Oh hey, you posted while I was typing. Uhm. Disregard what I just wrote in the sense that it was. Lieske still wants it to be a dream. Rearrange sentences accordingly xD))
"Quite," Jack replied. "How exactly are we supposed to get on Hook's ship without being, I don't know, maimed?(sp?)"
Peter shrugged. "It depends on you, Chris. You all were the ones who chose to come into the Book in the first place. Only you all know the answer to that question. My job is to just help you get started and to get you going."
"As for you, Jack," Peter whistled a shrilly and a bright light zipped into the room. Golden dust landed on all of them-making Carver sneeze- "Pixy dust is the answer."
Vi sat in a bewildered state.
"I think I hit my head..."
She mumbled, but knew she hadn't. Peter Pan, or the hallucination of Peter Pan, looked very real, the small graze on her elbow from hitting a tree was real, and sadly, so was the ridiculous nightgown.
"wait. so if we're in neverland, can we fly?"
Vi hadn't ever read peter Pan, she always thought it was too childish, but she had once watched the movie so she knew roughly about flying, Captain hook, and large aquatic lizards ingesting timepieces.
"Pixie dust," Lieske said, shifting on her feet, "You're telling em that we're about to go find a key on a pirate ship while being shot at." Glaning around, she grimaced. "Pleas tell me he's joking."
"I don't think so." Jack bit his lip.
Chris sighed. "Thanks do much..." She muttered. She began floating, keeping one tiny hand in Jack's hair.
((WHO IS GOING TO PLAY THE PIRATES? WHY ARE PEOPLE IGNORING ME AND MY POSTS? DO I NOT MATTER?))
((Sorry Insideout!! I'm getting to you right this second!!)
Hook stared down at the pirate girl. The injuns and the bug had escaped but they had their own back, "Smee!!"
"Yes, Cap'n?" Smee jumped forward.
"Get her back to the ship and put her in the cabin." Hook took a deep breath, "I smell the boy. He is up to something. I feel it in me bones. Now hop to it! Get the girl!"
Peter counted the kids, "Wait...wasn't there sevenof you?"
Carver looked around and felt his gut flip. "Marcia!"
((Thanks! Sorry for the yelling. I get frustrated easily.))
Marcia glared at them and stood up. "/Don't touch me, Smee. I'm staying right here." Her eyes dared Hook to argue as she kept her gaze locked with his.
"Right! Okay, okay, we get it! Gotta find the key, gotta save the girl." Biting her lip, Lieske turned back to Peter Pan. "So. What does this key look like, exactly?" she asked, words rushed. Pausing, she considered. "Unless you're not making it that easy, are you. Don't you dare tell me that Marcia is the key..."
Peter chuckled, "If Marcia was the Key you'd all ready be in the next Relm. All you have to do is have one of you touch it and then you all instantly Jump to the next Relm." Peter then turned to Carver, "Ask Carver what the Key looks like. He's the one who activated it."
Carver blushed, "Not on purpose. And it just looks like an old bulky Key."
