THIS IS PRE-SELECTED. THE FOLLOWING ARE ON THIS THREAD: AliceForever, Ethereal, BlowingSoManyLightPurpleBubblesGumBubbles, Snow-White-Queen, Emecay, and PrincessCharming.
Instructions: The Prologue is the library scene. This is where you'll introduce your person and meet the others and discover the Book of Relms.
Each Relm will be a Chapter. When we enter a new Relm I will start a new Chapter and introduce the next Story Relm we will be Jumping to.
At each new Relm give a breif new skellie about how your character looks. Example:
Power/ special ablity (where it is applied)
No need to answer any others because you guys covered that in your original skellies.
I don't care if we do or don't use the original characters in the Relms or not. And if we are dealing with a series I most likely won't care where in the story line we enter into (sometimes I will specify but mostly I'll see where we go). All I ask is that you stick to that story's story lineExample: Hunger Games has no unicorns or spells in there so don't add any magic to it.
And stick to the original books character's personality if we use themExample: Katniss isn't some goo-goo eyed girl who has pink hair.
I don't know how many Relms we will have.
Rules: Reply at least twice a week
Be somewhat detailed
Keep it clean (no serious cuse words and no unneeded gore)
And have fun :)
STORY PLOT: Seven teenagers meet at a local library for various reasons. The stumble upon a book with no title, no words, and nor purpose...or so they think. They are sucked into the Book of Relms and are trapped until they find the Key to each Relm ( they are all hidden). It is only then can they escape that Relm and Jump to the next.
One more thing, if you would put your Person's name at the top of each of your replies so it is easier for everyone to remember who you are.
Now, let's have fun :)
It is a disgusting weather today, but that is now why I have my hood pulled up over my head. It is because I am afraid that my friends will see me. I should be safe from them, most avoid the library like the plague, but I still can't take any chances.
I jog up the steps and inside. I take a deep breath and enjoy the fresh smell of books before weaving through the shelves to the back where all of the old books are. I had seen an old Brothers Grimm story book that I wanted to check out. I hurry to the spot but stop dead. There is a huge space missing in the shelf where it had been.
Who on earth would want to read that?
I growl in frustration and shake my head. I had been looking forward to that all weekend.
"What are you looking for, son?"
I nearly jump out of my skin. I hadn't seen Mr. Paige standing quietly in a corner shelving some books.
Mr. Paige is an old dinosaur. He has been working here for as long as anyone can remember. The guy should be in a museum or something.
"Um...just a book that...my mom wanted" I shrug and take a step back so I can make a quick escape before he starts talking about the good ol' days.
"Well," he points a gnarled finger at an old book stand sitting in the shaddows, "If it's something exciting your looking for I'd take a look at that. I promise you'll never forget it." With his bones creaking he pushes his book cart away further into the shelves and disapears from my sight.
My mom always says curiousity killed the cat. Well, I guess I am a cat because I can't help but check things out. Besides this thing was probably an old history book or something.
Chris walked slowly, brushing her fingers over the book covers in the manga aisle. She sighed softly and pulled one off the shelf, sitting and reading it.
Marcia walked dreamily into the romance aisle. She skinned the books, smiling at the happy couples on the front covers. So happy......so delusional.
Jack walked up and down the aisles of the library, weaving through the shelves and the different sections. He tried to decide what he was in the mood to read that day. Usually he came to the library almost every day just to escape school and life and the dull repetitiveness (sp? is that even a word?) of it all and engross himself in a story. Finally he stopped at a shelf and picked up th Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. For the fifteenth time.
After some time, Lieske snapped back into reality. Having fallen asleep on one of the public computers some time before, her session had since then ended. Well. There went that chance at getting homework done. Leaning back in the stiff chair, fingers pressed against her temples. "Oh for the love of all that may or may not be holy," she muttered in frustration, picking up her bag and glancing around. There weren't too many people there, but there were enough,
Chris padded down to a chair and smiled at the boy (Jack) in a chair. "This seat taken?"
Vi rubbed the binding of an old encyclopedia. She loved the smell of books, she loved how dry paper felt in your hands, how old pages closed with a satisfying Thunk. With a little effort, she wiggled the massive volume out of its crevice. Vi could tell it hadn't been read in a while.
She lugged it over to a table, flipped to a random page, and began to read.
Jack looked up at the sound of a girl's voice. "Oh, no, go ahead," he replied, gesturing to the chair. He turned his attention back to the book.
Carver leaned over the book cover and wiped away some of the dust. This book must've been really old. The title had gotten rubbed off. He opened it's pages and frowned as he flipped through them. He could see why Mr. Paige that thought this would be an unforgettable book. It had nothing in it.
Marcia sighed and continued to walk down the aisle. She wandered mindlessly into the history aisle, accidentally bumping into a boy. "Oh, I'm sorry!" she blushed. "Carver, isn't it?"
Chris sat next to him and began paging through the book. She glanced at him. "You're from school, Jack right?"
"Yep, that's me," he replied. He glanced over at her. "And you're... Chris, right?"
Carver grabbed the book stand so it wouldn't fall over and looked at the girl. She looked familiar. And she knew his name. He paled and wondered how to get out of this mess. Someone who knew him just saw him reading a book! Quick, think of something!
He chuckled, like he wasn't nervous, "Yeah. And you're...Marcia? I was just, um, looking for a book for my mom."
She blushed even deeper. "Oh, I understand." her eyelashes batted ever so slightly as she ducked her head. "How did you know my name was Marcia?"
Rising tiredly to her feet, Lieske went off in search of something that would have to make do in place of the internet - really, there weren't that many options. Grabbing a few things from the less populated corner of the library, she looked around, pausing at the side of a table. Shifting her weight, putting on some appearance of a smile, she looked at the girl sitting. ((Vii)) "Do you mind if I sit here?" she asked quietly, tugging the strap of her bag.
Chris nodded. "Yeah, I'm in your art and English classes." She blushed and stuffed her face in the book.
"Oh, well then of course I know you," he said. "You always do way better than me at those art projects." He laughed.
Chris chuckled. "Yeah, I do kinda do better don't I?" She smiled at him.
