Andryah had to force herself to sty upright. She was strong. She'd be fine. A shudder ran through her body. Andy swayed dangerously, clawing for her consciousness. "Come on Kani. We gotta get back to the base." she breathed.
"I know, I set it to go to the nearest Zsrach station." he answered, tearing her shirt to get a look at the wound, setting her privacy behind.
She shot him a look then blushed when she remembered the tattoo on her hip, the one she had gotten for him. Andy looked at herself and winced. Well at least she had a hot body. Blood flowed down her stomach from the wound
Kani pressed wads of bandages on her back and chest. He knew he couldn't heal her, and hoped the shuttle was fast. "You'll be fine," He said, though he didn't know himself. A realization struck him; even though he'd been angry, even thinking that he hated her, being free wasn't worth it if he was alone.
She nodded weakly "I... I don't know," she gasped "I don't feel fine," Andy collapsed back, her breath coming in sharp pants. Andryah whimpered, eyes closing
Kani swore again, and checked her pulse. It was growing fainter, and he doubted she would make it all the way there.
Securing the bandages quickly, he ran back to the controls and changed course the the nearest planet. It was Jakien controlled, but he didn't care. Info flickered onto the screen, announcing that it was the planet Kale, and heavy in countryside. There had to be a doctor there.
She looked at him "Don't go there... We... we will both get... captured... I can make it. I'm strong... you... you know that." she said quietly
Dukani shook his head, "No, I can't take that chance. It's hours to our nearest station." She'd lost too much blood, and he'd seen too many people die after losing less. "We'll be fine. This is a Jakien ship, it won't look strange."
She sighed then coughed. Pain flashed across her features. "Fine. If we get captured I'm blaming you," she breathed, nearly passing out "Da.mnit! Stay awake!" she yelled at herself.
"Just hang on, it's only ten minutes away." Dukani said, watching her, worried. He found some painkillers in the kit, and gave them too her trying to help in any way he coul.
Seeing some clothes, he put on a jacket cut in a Jakien style to avoid attention on the planet. His filthy clothes weren't exactly discreet.
Andy threw the pills across the shuttle she looked at him "I don't need the drowsiness of painkillers right now." she said. And anyway she wasn't in pain anymore, not that she'd tell him that. She felt a black, terrifying, numbness creeping into her limbs.
Kani hated feeling helpless. He stared out the window at the green planet that seemed to be getting closer at an unbearably slow speed. Every second felt like an hour before they finally broke through the atmosphere and landed in a field that held a few other ships, so they shouldn't look too conspicous.
He checked the map on the screen, "There's a city a quarter of a mile away." he checked her pulse again. It seemed dangerous to move her, but he didn't want to leave her alone.
Andy could feel herself slipping. "We need to move... I don't know how much longer I can hold on." she said weakly, the numbness having consumed her limbs. The edges of things were black and fuzzy. The world was cloaked in fog and her emotions were fading. (Ima go to bed. It is 2:00 AM here :P)
((Here too. :p Goodnight!))
Deciding quickly he picked her up gently and covered her with one of the jackets so she was decent, at the same time opening the door.
Outside, a man who seemed to be in the middle of loading his ship stopped and stared. Apparently it wasn't the norm around here for people to come out of ships carrying semi-conscious women. "You got a transport?" Kani asked rudley.
The man blinked, "Why?"
Kani glared, "You can have my ship if you give me a hover."
That got him moving, and in under thirty seconds they were on their way to the city at top speed.
Andy's head lulled back and her breathing was soft, shallow. Her pule was scarily slow. If they had been there any slower she would be dead in his arms. Andryah felt the numb darkness claiming her torso. She wouldn't let it tar her heart though and she fought hard against it. Andy finally passed out. The fact that she was alive at all was utterly incredible but as she herself had said, she was stronger then most.
They were there in minutes, and Dukani stopped at the first medical building he saw: an emergency compound. Cradling her against his body, he rushed in.
A doctor, seeing her condition, led him quickly into a small room where he lay her down on an operating table. Dukani subtly locked the door as the doctor set to work, and began to pace.
((I have to go already DX))
Andy was slowly loosing her battle. Her body was cold, her pulse was nearly non-existant. The doctors looked uneasy. They worked fast but not fast enough. Andryah's heart stopped. They ripped her jacket off, then her bra which left her naked from the waist up. The doctor pressed the paddles to her chest and Andy's body jerked.
Kani's bloodstained hands were clenched in his hair. She was dying, and there was nothing he could do. "Andryah, you can't die!" he yelled, as if to order her to stay alive, though he knew it wouldn't work.
The fed transfusions into her and forced her to breath and forced her heart to beat. After awhile her heart started trying to beat on it's own. She wanted to live. Andy slowly became less close yo death. Once they had her stable they opened her up, repairing the damage the sword had done. After stitching her up they put her in a hospital gown. Andryah didn't look much better, all pale and hooked up to countless wires but she would live.
