Dilan attempted to get up, but his arms went weak and he fell back to the ground. He crawled along the floor, dragging his paralyzed legs across the floor. Dilan made it into his bedroom and climbed back onto his bed. "What the h.ell happened?" Holding his head up, Dilan looked at his legs, nothing seemed to be wrong. He lied back and tried to go back to sleep, with no avail. Eventually, Dilan rolled over and fell of the bed, he didn't even try getting back on it again, he just lied on the floor.

Regalia stalked like a cat, silently, hoping to flash past people unseen, into the forest. She knew where Dilan lived; she had seen a little cottage in the woods before, and although she was only guessing that it was his, who else would live in the middle of the forest? She had seen him ride in, but not back out, and she hoped that he was all right.

Dilan pulled himself up onto his feet with his desk. He slowly let go of it and stood in place. A sigh of relief escaped the teens lips. As he went to take one step, Dilan fell to the ground again, but bringing his coat hanger and cloak with him. Dilan gasped for breath as the impact caused him to lose it. The hanger fell ontop of him and he pushed it off. Dilan rolled over onto his back and rubbed his face. "Please don't be happening..." he whispered.

Regalia approached the cabin and knocked on the door and waited, tapping her foot with her arms crossed. She pulled back her hood and began to stroke her owl.

Dilan grabbed his hair tight and hit his head on the floor as he heard a knock at his door. "Come in," he said, half sobbing. his voice sounded like a little kid when he said it. Dilan yelped as his head start to hurt more, tears gathered in his eyes.

Regalia slipped inside the cottage and turned around. A gasp escaped her mouth when she saw Dilan plastered to the floor. "Oh," she said softly. "What in the world? You didn't go see the witch doctor did you? Really," she began, but seeing as he was sprawled on the wood floor in pain, a lecture, she decided, was not the best thing at hand. So she crouched down to meet his tear-stained eyes. "How did this happen?" she asked kindly.

Dilan groaned and held his head tight. "My head just hurt so much. My legs are... paralyzed, weak. I can't walk. I think it's from the pain." Dilan tried to wipe the tears and get up, only to fail and fall back to the ground.

Regalia softened significantly. "I'll get the witch doctor that you didn't get last night," she said before walking out the door. "Phantomon," she ordered. "Stay here, protect Dilan, and if anyone comes in here with hostile intentions, kill them." She knew no one else would enter, but better safe than sorry. Once the door was closed, Regalia broke down. She could never reach Weravice and the Nadue by next full moon unless there was magic that could be performed. Then she paused. Wait, she thought. Magic! The witch doctor wasn't truly magic, but she knew who was.

Dilan stayed on the floor, thinking. He knew that it was no use to try and stand again or to go do something. As his mind wandered, he came to the thought of death. Everyone was scared of it, why? The only reason Dilan was ever afraid of it was when it took his dad. Dilan and his father weren't very close at all. Dilan just kept on wondering.
Tears started to run down his cheeks. Why had Regalia come? Did she need something? Dilan finally thought.

Regalia hurried into town, not to the witch doctor, but to the market. There were bound to be merchants there who knew of elf magic and where to find elf tribes between there and Weravice. If she could get Dilan onto a horse with a couple of medications to keep him alive for days, she could most likely bargain with the elves to heal him.

Dilan dragged himself across the floor and back onto his bed. He curled up and tried to go back to sleep. His head pounded and pounded, even thinking made his head hurt. Dilan sighed. "What is to become of me?" he wondered. "I hope that girl found someone to help." Dilan closed his eyes, his arms and hands shaking.

She slipped quietly into the marketplace, weaving gracefully between the crowds of shopkeepers and merchants arriving with their latest foreign goods. No goods from Weravice, of course, since they were in a Cold War with Mordon's kingdom, but Regalia was searching for information. She approached the nearest fruit-seller. "Excuse me," she said quietly, but with an air of authoritive power.

Dilan grit his teeth with impatience. What is taking that girl so long? My head is pounding and I hurts to move a single muscle! Dispite his old age, Dilan seemed to complain like a little kid.
Suddenly, Dilan felt a sharp pain go through his head. he grabbed his head and thrashed his legs on his bed. He nearly screamed but he bit his lip to stop himself. Eventually it stopped. Dilan curled up into a ball and huffed.

((Sorry I haven't been getting to you sooner, I've been having a little trouble with school stuff))

"Yes?" the merchant turned around. Regalia smiled warmly.
"I am a knight of the king, and for his purposes, might I inquire if there are elf kingdoms between here and the border with Weravice, and how I could reach them?"
The merchant gaped at her brisk manner "Why.. yes. The Omoralle are in the Rhoga Mountains. Why?"
"Business," Regalia replied, and with a flick of her hand. "Thank you for your assistance," and she hurried back to Dilan's cabin, opening the door and gathering Phantomon on her shoulder.
"Right," she said authoritavely. "We need to get you on a horse."
