"Memories have nothing to do with this, I just feel like the Elves don't like me. I know we need to be here and that we need to stay for a little while, but I feel like it may not even that. Someone could be spying on us..." Dilan stopped and put his hand back to his side. He looked all around, up and down, behind and in front. He caught up with Regalia and kept his eyes wandering.

"I'm aware that memories don't have anything to do with your predicament," Regalia explained. "I'm trying to find an excuse for leaving so soon. I know what you're feeling. There's a dark presence, not just the Elves, but as if something else is watching us."

The scarred boy growled with impatience. He hopped in front of Regalia, as if escorting her. He stopped in front of a large door. Dilan tilted his head at it. The door was decorated in green and gold, ivy climbing up it. "Here?" he asked. Dilan was very curious to see what was behind door number one. The teen was trying to forget all about the fact that someone could be spying.

Regalia pushed open the door. It swung open, but inside was a hollow, dark space. "Do you have a light?" she asked Dilan. "Phantomon, fly in there and tell us what you see." The owl soared through the door, and his wingbeats echoed in the darkness.

"All I have is some flint... and a harp." Dilan looked up at Regalia and shrugged. He looked into the dark room and tried to find where Regalia's owl went. "So, where did you get Phantomon? He seems very close to you and vice versa."

"It involves that story with the Dwarves," she replied. "In fact, Phantomon is why the Dwarves are mad at me." She glanced at the flint. "Let me see that."

Dilan handed Regalia the flint, wondering what she was going to do with it. Light a torch, maybe? Dilan watched her carefully then said, "Sorry I asked."

Regalia's gray eyes shone with grief. "No. You have a right to know. But not here, where I can sense so many other ears." She grabbed an unlight torch from the wall. "Fliraia," she murmured, and the flint crackled in her hand. She touched it to the torch and gave blew out the fire on the stone, handing it back to Dilan.

Dilan smiled when Regalia lit the torch. How did he know she was going to do that? Then again, what else can you do with flint? Dilan wiped the smile off his face and walked into the dark room a little. "So many ears, huh?" Dilan paused then looked back at Regalia. He opened his mouth to say something, but then he turned back and kept walking into the room. Dilan gasped when he heard a small noise around him, he stopped dead in his tracks.
(Sorry for taking so long to respond, I was having some family problems. Merry Christmas!)

Regalia waved the torch in front of her. "Who's there?" she demanded.
A gruff voice replied, "Only your worst nightmare." It was not a human voice, nor that of a Dwarf of Elf. It was hissing softly, like a snake, and its presence moved with a serpentine fluency, circling Regalia, as if it took pleasure in the fear eminating from her body.
"You are not one to know fear," it whispered hoarsely. "I am surprised." A shadow flashed by her, and her torch flickered for a moment, nearly going out in the sudden presence.
"Fear is often a resource along the path to success, as is courage," Regalia told the creature. "Who are you?"
The voice chuckled. "What am I, not who? Why, I am Algerim, or what is left of such a powerful dark sorcerer." Regalia's eyes bugged. She knew the legends of long ago, when the dark wizard Algerim roamed the lands, taking the lives of those he passed.
((Do you want to play Algerim, or can I? No problem about responding late. Merry Christmas to you too.))

Dilan looked back to see Regalia and a serpent-like figure. He listened into what he- it- was saying. When Dilan heard the name 'Algerim' he tilted his head. He didn't recognize the name at all. He took a few steps forward then stopped when the figure looked at him. The figures eyes made Dilan fall back.
((You can since I have to do Shadow))

((Okay then. Sorry It's been so long.))
Regalia stood rigid with shock. "Join me," it hissed, "or die." She drew her sword.
"Only if you die too!" she shouted out of pure fear, and swung the sword at the serpentine shadow. She swiped the blade this way and that with the fury of one blinded by fright. Her eyes were wild as the torch blew out permanently, and she ran for the door, groping along the walls of the room.

Dilan looked around and got up onto his feet. "Regalia! Regalia where are you?!" Dilan wanted to run to the door, but he couldn't move. His eyes widened when he heard a hissing sound behind him. Dilan fell forward and crawled toward the light.
(I got a laptop! Now I can come on more)
