No one has been responding on my old threads so I decided to make a new 1x1. I don't have any current ideas however my favorite time setting for roleplays is the medieval days. With that said, whoever wants to join can, it's first come first serve.

Alright, let's make a character and start! I'm going to make a male character so just forewarning. If you have any plot ideas I'm open to suggestions.

I'm thinking more magical but I still want to keep the story somewhat realistic.

cool! I'm thinking a female character, so that works great. I guess here's my basic character outline.
Name: Regalia Quince
Age (would these characters be kids or adults or what?): if adult= 34 if characte should be a teen then 16
Appearance: long, dusty blonde hair streaked with dark brown that is stick straight, thin and back in a messy braid. Her wide eyes are pale blue, almost gray, and reveal everything she is thinking. Her face is angular and very expressive, and she has a long neck and broad shoulders. She is tall and slender with long legs and walks with fluent movements. Worn apperance like that of a traveler who has seen many hardships yet many victories. Appears ancient though she is relatively young.
Personality: Silently proud, quiet, but says a lot through her facial expressions. Very fluent, and speaks to many peoples (elves, dwarves, if that's okay) knows the ancient languages of magic that not many know. Wise yet very crafty, and likes to take the hard way out of things.
Clothing: pale brown/tan gown with long, draping sleeves and white vine patterns on the dress. Over top she wears a navy blue cloak with a hood to shield her face when she needs it and a golden clasp shaped like a leaf.  Wears a charm around her neck that summons a barn owl that is her pet.
Weapons: two Samarai swords with ancient engravings on them that are always kept in a sheath around her waist. Also she has a ring that shocks someone when they touch it. She is very skilled with the swords.
(I just happen to keep a list of good roleplay characters, and she fit the description) :) I LOVE roleplay

Name: Dilan Zayger (I can make names up)
Age: 19 (adult or teen is good, I'm thinking teen might be better though)
Appearance: Wears a brown cloak with hood that is usually over his head. Under his cloak is a green shirt and brown patched pants. He has short dark brown hair that is usually not taken care of, so it gets dull and dirty. He has a yellow left eye and a green right eye. About 5'9" and has thin legs which makes him agile. 136 lbs.
Background: Dilan was always known as the sweet child in his town. His parents were very poor but he did with what he had. He was always very happy but he was made fun of for not knowing lots of things since he was home schooled. His father died and as Dilan grew older, he took up archery. Nowadays, everyone likes to call him the "Robin Hood" of the town. He lives out in the woods on his own. A water droplet is his mark, wherever he goes, he makes sure he hides his symbol somewhere. Sometimes this symbol is mistaken for a leaf as it begins to get older.
Personality: Fun-loving, happy, persistant, independent. He knows only two languages, English, and a language he made up so only he can understand it. He loves to sit by the river near his lodge deep in the woods.
Weapon: His signature weapon is a bow and arrow. He also has two daggers on his belt  which he often does target practice with.
(made this character just now XD)

The plot could be that they are part of an undercover system of knights that reports to a neighboring country to Argot, where they are from. Argot is ruled by a maniacal king, who, in order to keep his rule is plotting to destroy the neighboring kingdom called Weravice. These two have to travel to their secret knight leader in Weravice to warn them of the impending danger. The scene could open with an order to them from the king, who thinks that they are loyal to him.

((I would love to start! -bows-))
Dilan rubbed his eyes and started his daily routine. He got up and had a nice cup of tea. After he was finished with that, Dilan picked up the quiver that was by the door along with the bow that hung on a hook. He set up the targets in the trees, climbing and swinging to get the 10 targets set. He jumped to the ground and nocked and arrow in his bow, aiming at the closest target. Just as he was about to release the string, a flock of crows flew off and a scream was heard in the distance. Dilan looked at the direction of where the scream came from, slowly lowering his bow and arrow.
(lengthy first one, sorry!)

Regalia lowered her head before King Mordon. He eyed her with a twinge of annoyance. She dared no look up, because she knew that her dislike towards him would be detected in her eyes. She was aware that her emotions were open when her mouth was closed. And she was skilled at hiding it. With a stroke of his pointed beard, the king addressed her with a tap of his foot that suggested that she had done something wrong.
(no worries; mine is just as long as yours)

Dilan put his bow over his shoulder and the arrow back in its quiver. He rushed through the forest to the outskirts of town. He looked up to see the eastern wall of a palace, it was just across a river. Dilan had been there before, only once. He knew that's where the scream came from. He ventured quickly across the river and waited for the soldiers to look away from where he stood, then Dilan crept into the courtyards of the castle. He kept low and near the walls. As he was backing up from a group of soldiers, he backed into someone.
"'Scuse me sir, what are you doing?" It was a friend of Dilans, Shadow.
"Oh, how glad I am to see you Shadow!" The group of soldiers that Dilan was trying to avoid walked over...

A piercing scream echoed across the throne room of the castle, but neither she nor Mordon felt remotely alarmed. After all, she herself, Regalia Quince, was the cause of that commotion. She pondered, still avoiding the king's eyes. The downside of spying against the king while working for him was that she still had to carry out arrests, such as that very morning, when she had arrested a local butcher for speaking badly about King Mordon. The cry of pain from below, in the dungeons was his punishment. It racked Regalia with guilt, but as Mordon was preoccupied with satisfaction at the scream, it flashed across her face beneath his radar.

"What was that scream?" Dilan asked, alarmed. Shadow shrugged and pointed to the tower above our heads.
"I dunno, and not that I care much, but you can go ask the King. He may know something. Just a warning, I heard that he is in an awful mood today."
Dilan nodded and waved Shadow off. He climbed and climbed until he was just outside of the throne room. The door was slightly open and Dilan put his hand on it, it opened a little more and creeked, causing everyone in the room to fall silent and look at him. He pulled his hood down and cleared his throat. "I came to see if everything here was alright..." Dilan stated and walked further in.

Footsteps echoed across the long hallways to the throne room. The king quickly assigned Regalia to investigate reports of a spook in the Conifer Forest and dismissed her. She hurried out and passed a boy about as old as herself on her way down the halls. Out of curiosity, she pressed her ear to the door to hear what he had to say to King Mordon. She hoped for the boy's sake that is was not bad news.

"Do not worry Zayger, it was of no importance. Whilist you are here, why don't you deliver a message for me? I have a letter to a spy in the village. He goes out there for a couple weeks every few months to see how everything is."
Mordon held a letter out and Dilan picked it up. The name on the back was addressed to someone named Dragan. "As you wish, sire. I will come back later in the week with a report." Dilan started to exit the room while he put the letter in a small bag.

Regalia leapt from where she was crouched and turned to run out of the castle undetected, but to no avail. She could feel the boy's eyes on her back, and as she began to look behind her, she recognized them. She recognized those eyes from the Nadue, her group of spied, in Weravice. They belonged to Dilan Zayger, though his name was all that she knew of him.

"Is there something you need, miss?" Dilan said with a smile. The girl seemed familiar, but he couldn't remember. Dilan fidgeted and started to play with his fingers so he would be occupied until the girl answered.
