Keiran smiled a little bit, and she stopped crying. She almost asked them if they had known each other, but decided it would be far too unlikey. She glanced around the surrounding area, taking in the enviroment.
Looking up he saw other kids around him, "Rufus do you have my pack or did they make me one if they made me one hand meh my other pack too." he said he needed the things in there. "Alright Rory guess you did remeber you can bring other things you should be leaving soon maybe 10 minutes maybe 5 minutes." Rufus handed him his bag then gave him his other pack. Rory's first bag had a bunch of supplies in it, very big and enermous he got it speacialy made to stuff a whole bunch of stuff.
He walked over to the other kids "Hey" he said he saw red under some girls eyes they were all laughing, Ha, guess people can make the best out of things.
Oliana let out a sqeaul and leaped away from Finn. "DOn't touch me! THe hyperactivity will destroy my brain!" she yelled in mock horror.
"Hey," keiran mumbled. They new guy was holding a huge backpack, and she wondered how he had managed to carry it. She knew that she definitely couldn't.
((Sorry guys, didn't realise it had started))
Eldrie hadn't paid much attention to the others. She'd just walked along like she was supposed to. She'd been lost in her thoughts and her sadness for her family: now they'd lost both daughters. They had no one left. She wanted to cry but she couldn't she had no tears left. She watched the others in a kind of shock, listening to their conversations, dragging her pack behind her.
Lydi smiled at the others. Almost everyone was starting to warm up. Someone she guessed was named Finn had even started a conversation. It was time to get down to business. If they weren't out of the area by nightfall, the police would return. She had seen on a news cast what had happened when a group stayed on the borders too long. It was not pretty.
"OK, everyone." She called out. "We need to get to know each other, and then get a little organized. We need to be out of the area by sundown, and there are a few things we need to clear up before we leave." She took a deep breath. "First things first, we need to introduce ourselves. My name is Lydi, I'm 16."
"I'm Oliana Whynd. I'm 17 years old, and I have a boyfriend, but I wouldn't mind another one, you know?" she chattered on.
Keiran sucked in her breath and took a step back. Talking to one or people was fine. But a whole group? Forget about it. She hoped and prayed with all her might no one saw her and would forget she was there for a bit.
"I'm Rory I am 16 years old" He replied, if hes gunna help these people he needs to at least figure out who they are and what they can do.
Eldrie took a deep breath. Here we go, she thought.
"I'm Eldrie," she began, her voice surprisingly loud and even. "I'm 16 as well." Then she shifted, looking down at her shoes and glancing up to see if others would follow suit.
Keiran took another step backwards, just for good measure. Almost everyone else had said their names, and she didn't want to take any chances. Fate had already shown luck was not on her side today.
( (DestroyedHeart, Rory is actually 18, sorry.) )
Lydi listened patiently as everyone said their names. When the girl who looked to be the youngest there did not supply her name, Lydi stared expectantly, willing her to say her name like the rest had. She smiled in what she hoped was an encouraging way.
Rory turned to the other girl "You probably don't trust and thats ok but we need your help, and You might need our help with some things." He said sincerely. He wasn't losing people because they were scared he needed all the help he needed
(Ok guys with every single time I have said Rory's age it is now 18 alrighty thanks)
Keiran eyes went wide, looking like a deer caught in the headlights. She cleared her throat and took a tentative step forward, aware of the eyes on her. "I....I'm Keiran. I'm, uh, I'm 15." She whispered so softly even she barely heard.
"Hi Keiran, I'm Rory I am 18 it's nice to meet you." He said considerately. He put his hand out to shake her hand he didn't know what she was comfortable with greetings wise.
Eldrie smiled down at the ground, poking a rock with her foot. At least she knew she wasn't the most socially awkward one here. That was a small comfort, anyway.
Putting her hand out awkwardly, keiran shook his hand. She wasn't overall very comfortable with human contact, but she had already made a bad impression. She didn't need to alienate anyone further.
Finn was sitting on the ground drawing a dragon in the dirt. He wondered what was out there, and he hoped there were dragons or something else crazy. Then he realized he was hungry and wondered what they could find out there to eat. He started to drum his fingers restlessly on the ground. When Finn looked up, the others seemed to be talking about something serious. Finn wondered what he missed. "I'm hungry." He said, smiling brightly. "Let's go see what's out there."
Eldrie looked down at what the boy had been drawing. Craning her neck, she saw it was a dragon. Her eyes widened in surprise. The kid had talent.
Not that she'd ever get the nerve to say so, of course.
She watched the others, waiting for someone to act on his request of food.
