"What the he.ll is that supposed to mean!?" Leo roared, his face flushed with anger at what Kiba was implying. It made him stand up and move closer, though Persephone was in front of him like a pulse, her blue eyes calm and steady. they regarded Kiba cautiously, not liking so much what he said either. Leo would never do anything to a girl...ever...
"She's...you?"She repeated, raising a brow. "Like...you're alter ego or something?"Seph tried to guess, confused. Leo was still too furious. Who did this guy think he was, huh? To accuse him of such things, and just waltz in his house like he owned the place...
"Well, not an alter ego, per se..." Kiba muttered, looking down at the floor with an obviously frustrated expression. "I just... I can't tell you, okay? It would freak everyone out, and seriously bad stuff would happen, and Maddie would have to..." He trailed off, sighing.
Why couldn't they just take his word for it? Normally, girls wouldn't even ask any questions. Girls could be pretty easy. But right now... "I can't tell you," he said again, looking back up at them with an almost pleading expression. "And I'm sorry if I p.issed you off. But if I told you everything - which I'm seriously tempted to do right now - it would be awful for Maddie. I couldn't do that to her. And I'm sure you --" He looked over at the boy, "-- wouldn't want her hurt. Right?"
None of it made sense, to be honest. The whole Maddie and Kiba being the same person, and such. It made Leo feel weird. Like something was all unnatural about it...
"Awwww Leonardo we can't just not believe him."Seph whined. It was playfully, though whenever they used their full names, they were serious. Leo sighed, leaning back and sitting on a bar stool. None of it made sense at all...things weren't adding up...and he didn't want to hurt Maddie...but where was Maddie in the first place? His head pounded, and he was probably lucky Persephone was there.
"Well, I guess everything is chill now."She stated, flipping her blonde hair up in a sloppy bun."You say your name was Kiba, right?"Seph repeated, hopping on the couch with a flashy smile.
Oh, thank God. Kiba sighed in relief as he sat back onto the couch beside Persephone. That was her name, right? He was never very good with girls' names. Then again, he never really had to be...
But for some reason, he blushed the tiniest bit when Persephone said his name. He smiled over at her, nodding. "Yeah. And yours is Persephone? Like Persephone, from mythology or something?"
He smirked over at Leo - wasn't that the guy's name? - and nodded. "This your girlfriend or something? Or is Maddie your girlfriend now?"
"Yep. You know, Demeter's daughter? She got stolen by Hades and such?" Persephone explained, enjoying the blush on his cheeks. Yep, this Kiba definately wasn't bad looking. Actually, he was very good looking."And what about you, huh? Is Kiba like Alaskan or something?" She giggled a bit, before straightening at his second comment.
"Seph and I could never date. And no, Maddie is not my girlfriend."Leo curtly replied, getting up and leaving the room with a glowering look towards Kiba.
"Ah, don't mind Leo."Seph waved off."He's right though. We could never date."She nodded seriously, before lowering her voice."And I wouldn't mention girlfriends around him. He just got out of a pretty serious relationship."Seph paused, looking at the way he vanished. Ever so slightly, she frowned, before it disappeared with a curious smirk."Where'd you come from anyways?"
"Oh." Kiba stared after Leo as he left; from his reaction, his break-up must've been pretty bad. For him, anyway. With a small shrug, he turned back to Persephone, a half-smile dancing on his lips.
"Yeah, I heard that story. She's the goddess of Spring or something, right?" He laughed lightly; Alaskan? No way. "No, not Alaskan. I've never even been to Alaska. My parents were Japanese, and 'Kiba' means... like 'fang' or something like that. But I'm from Washington, near Canada almost." Leaning just a little closer to her, he tilted his head in the way he knew every girl liked. "And where are you from, Persephone..?"
"You can just call me Seph, you know."Persephone pointed out with a little giggle. "Persephone really is a mouthful, isn't it?" Sheesh, was he gorgeous or what? Usually Seph never spent time oggling over guys, mostly because she never took relationships seriously. But Kiba...He made her regard him seriously.
"I'm from New York, sweethawrt."She answered, letting an accent leak through."Right in Manhattan, to be exact. City girl soul, I say. Washington is rainy, right? With that space needle thingy?"Persephone mused, her blue eyes curious.
"Seph..." Kiba tried, smirking. "Sounds nice. And don't worry, your name isn't a mouthful; it's beautiful." For the first time in a very long time, he was actually being honest. How could he not, looking into Seph's big beautiful eyes? And her perfect blonde hair, and nicely tanned skin...
"New York? Man." He sighed, a bit wistfully. "It's not rainy all the time, but it is cloudy a lot. But I like it that way; I don't do too well in the sun," he admitted, holding out one fair arm. "Burn too easy. Like a vampire or something. Unlike you, obviously; that tan is just... wow."
[Just curious - what time is it where you are? Not TI time lol ]
[ ^-^ ]
[ I'm an hour behind TI time ^.^ I live in Colorado, Mountain Central Time Zone. What about you, if you don't mind me asking? Haha ]
Persephone smirked, especailly at his words. Beautiful? As if she hadn't heard that one before. Tan? Yep. This guy wasn't very original, but he sure was charming nevertheless. Maybe it was because he was being truthful about everything. Not just some boy saying random nice stuff just to get in her pants.
"I am more like a California girl."She admitted with a smile, and a little shrug."But again, New York sould. Just ask Leo."Seph smiled impishly, before getting that curious look on her face again. Because she really was interested..."So you know that know girl? Maddie?"
[Oh really? I'm an hour ahead, since I live in Ohio, lol. So for you it's just after 7pm or something? ]
What was that smirk about? Kiba honestly didn't even care. At least she was smiling at him, not glaring or something. Although, basically no girl ever glared at him, anyway, so he never had to worry about that. But still, having a gorgeous girl smile at you had to be one of the greatest feelings ever.
"It's true, most people from NY are kinda... not so tan? Unless it's a fake tan, of course." Kiba shrugged, unable to take his eyes away from her face. At the mention of Maddie, though, he looked away, and his smile faded. "Yeah, we were friends. Hardly get to see eachother now, though. She's a sweet girl."
[ Oh, so it's just after ten for you? Wow! Two hours ahead, haha :) ]
"Oh, it's not fake." Persephone reassured with a smile. Brave move, in calling her fae. Most guys didn't dare to call her anything remotely defensive in the first dew minutes. It was...nice, surprisingly. She tilted her head at the mention of Maddie.
"Oh?" She said, raising a brow."So you like this Maddie? Romantically, of coarse?"Seph flashed a smile at him."Lucky girl."
[Yup, unfortunately, lol. But I usually stay up till about twelve-ish my time, sometimes later X3 I took a giant nap today, so I'll probably be on super late tonight XD ]
Kiba smirked at her. "Just making sure. I don't really like fake girls," he muttered, a bit bluntly. Well, it was the truth, after all... Fake girls were just... weird.
"Romantically? No, no, we were just friends back at the--" He cut himself off suddenly, realising he was going a little too far. "I mean, I don't think she even knows what romance is, really. She, um... doesn't get out much."
[ I wish I could do that! I love sleep too much xD That's usually why I disappear around 10-ish lol ]
"I don't like fake guys."Persephone stated back, getting comfortable. She put her legs across the couch, over his legs. The way he cut himself off...he was hiding something. But everyone hid things...She opened her mouth to reply on this Maddie--the one she meant earlier in the guy clothes--before Leo walked in.
He still wasn't the most happiest, but he had in tow his two little siblings. Seth, who looked irritated, and Hannah, who looked actually pretty content, talking a million miles an hour.
"And then we went to recess, where we played tag and I almost fell but I didn't because I'm really fast and--"She stopped short upon seeing Kiba still here. Hannah looked curiously to Leo, bfore hopping over.
"You're still here?" Hannah was really too cute for her own good, Seph thought. She had al those cute Greek characteristics; olive toned skin, bigb brown eyes and light brown hair.
"Leave 'em alone, Han."Leo sighed from over the counter, while Seth sat at the kitchen table with some homework. Hannah frowned, before she looked at Kiba with something other than distrust.
"Can I watch some T.V, mister?" She asked politely.
[lol I hope you don't mind I have little kids in our roleplays xD I think it just brings out good character, but if you get annoyed, just let me know haha]
[Haha, I never have any plans, so I can basically take a nap whenever, after school... I love sleep, too, but I usually tend to sleep for too long, lol ]
Kiba's brow furrowed as Seph rested her long legs over his. She actually trusted him enough to do that? Weird. At least, he thought it was weird, considering the fact that they'd just met; most girls would be really shy, unless they were s.luts or something. Vaguely, he wondered if Seph was kind of a s.lut...
"Huh?" Kiba looked over at the little girl - Hannah? - with a weird look. She was asking permission from a stranger in her own house? "Um, yeah, you're house and stuff..." he murmured softly with a faint smile as he handed her the remote.
She was adorable, really. If only she was a little older... and her brother wasn't around... He glanced over at Leo, still not sure of the guy. Especially since he couldn't communicate with Maddie anymore, so he had no idea how she felt, or what he'd done with her... And it kind of freaked him out.
[Oh, no, it's fine! I think they're so adorable X3 ]
"You don't have to ask Kiba, silly girl." Seph giggled. The girl slightly flushed; she was generally much politer than Seth, and asked permission from guests often. It was an endearing habit she would hopefully grow out of, Seph thought. Girls didn't need permission for anything...
Hannah turned the T.V on, and prmptly let them be, engrossed in some cartoon about ponies.
"So, doya go to school, then?"Persephone promped, still fascinated by him.
[Okay, good haha just checking and I wish I took a nap after school! I love naps]
Kiba watched Hannah with an almost brotherly smile for a moment, before he jerked his head up at Seph's question. He looked over at her a little sheepishly.
"No, not really. I mean, I used to, but now..." But now he had no parents to enroll him into school. Besides, it had been so long since he'd attended... he'd probably end up in the eighth grade or something.
"I assume you do? All of you probably do, right?" Their parents probably made them go.
[I love love love naps, lol. I can always sleep better in the daytime than at night for some reason ]
Again he was hiding something...but what? Now he was a drop out, or went online...? Definately interesting...
"Oh yeah, we all go to school alright."Seph confirmed with a nod, her elbow resting on the couch as she gazed at him. He was like one of those Roman statues or something, with gorgeous features. "You too good for school or what?" She teased, her blue eyes dancing.
"You kidding? I just haven't been able to, that's all." Kiba took a breath; he was starting to get a headache. He needed another girl.
He caught himself staring at Seph's long, tan legs, and snapped his face back up to look at her face. No need to look like some kind of perv. "Sorry," he muttered, giving a small half-smile. "You got a boyfriend or something? I bet you do. Girls like you are pretty much never single."
