Persephone seemed to relax, knowing that nothing was expected of her. She let her mind flip through all the crazy stuff that had happened in just one day. From meeting Maddie this morning, then Kiba at Leo's house, discovering their bizarre connection, and Xenos burning her house down. She frowned slighty; losing p.o.cessions were more annoying than sad, though what would her father think upon returning home? That he had lost her, like her mother? It troubled Persephone, but it would have to wait. Though this, she had found Kiba. Someone she didn't plan on losing. Not now. Before him, Persephone never believed in love, let alone a sould mate. But now? It was a whole new picture with Kiba holding her. Loving her.
"Thank you."She whispered in a sight, her eyelids fl.ic.k.ering closed."I love you. So much Kiba. So...much..." Seph's voice faltered in a soft whisper as she fell asleep.
(It won't let me post Elias and June's part :'( Awh it was so sweet! "An angel? Is that a wings joke?" Ugggggh)
[Aw... I hate those stupid filters... Don't worry, I'll wait for you :) Post it in pieces, maybe? ]
"An angel? Is that a wings joke?" Elias teased lovingly, letting his wings flutter open at the comment. June seemed to like them so much, unlike Elias who just thought they were nothing more than a m.u.t.a.t.i.o.n. A painful one at that. But if June liked them so much...Elias let them extend fully.
"I love you."Elias whispered to him, for probably the thousandth time. He didn't care. No, Elias could say it as much as he wanted now. That was something to marvel at in itself.
[It worked! ]
[I can't post just yet, but I'll try to soon ]
[I know! :) Sweet victory! :D It's okay take your time :) ]
Kiba smirked, kissing her cheek softly as she drifted off. "I love you, too. No matter what." He shifted a little to get comfortable, with Seph still on top of him, and pulled the blankets over them. Keeping his arms around her waist, he eventually fell asleep too.
June blushed, smiling sheepishly. "Well... Not a joke, exactly, but... Your wings do help with the angelic image," he admitted, staring at them again in awe. So beautiful... He tore his eyes away to look up at Elias's very angelic face. Those wings were amazing, but it must've hurt, moving them all the time like that...
He brushed his lips lightly against Elias's jaw, lingering there a little. "You don't have to keep hurting yourself for me, you know... They're still visible even when you don't try to move them." He grinned. "And I love you, too."
Elias inwardly grimaced; of coarse he would notice the pain it would cause him. June had been through enough agony in his life to notice anyone holding any sort of pain back. Especially Elias. He smiled weakly, before goosebumps rippled across his skin as his lips lingers at his jaw.
"It will get less painful, over time."Elias explained softly, his eyes far away. "After all, it was their goal to make it as painful as possible..."He stopped, shaking away the thoughts, the memories of the actual stitching with no pain killer..."But it's alright. At least you like them."Elias kissed June softly on the lips. Why would this night have to eventually come to an end?
"It doesn't matter if I like them or not!" June scowled down at the ground, pulling away from the kiss. "What I like doesn't matter, Elias. It's okay. I'm used to that. What does matter is that you aren't hurting yourself just for me."
He forced his eyes upward, though his expression was still stuck on glaring. His eyes, before dark and tinted grey, were now bright, almost the colour of peridot. "If they hurt you, I want them gone."
"That's why we're here, isn't it?" Elias asked, his voice and gaze gentle. He wasn't taken aback by his reaction; actually, he was more calm, when replying.
"And it does matter, June. What you like."Elias' was quiet, and serious. But his eyes were almost to the point of pleading."I don't want you to be hurt, just like you don't want me to be hurt. That's love, or at least part of it."
Why was Elias so calm about this? He was hurting, wasn't he? June pulled away from him completely, staring at him in disbelief and pain and anger.
"Don't worry about what I like. Don't worry about me at all. Okay?" He covered his eyes with one hand, sighing, then ran it through his hair. "I'm fine. Worry about yourself for once."
"Worry about me?"Elias blankly repeated, his fingers clenching into fists. Hot tears of anger burned behind his eyes."But that's why you were left behind."A flash of torture passed his features, the tears finally falling."I was too busy worrying about me, June. And I forgot about...you."He choked out, his wings flickering closed in his regret.
"I can't forgive myself. I just want to get you out of here, June." Elias' face was tear stained as his sad brown eyes went up to him."That's all I want. For us to be happy."
June stared at Elias. Technically, it was more of a glare, but it was starting to slowly soften. A little. "Don't you dare cry," he demanded, though a burning tear began making it's way down.
"You didn't leave me, technically..." Did it matter, anyway? "I hesitated... It wasn't your fault..." Ugh, watching Elias now was probably the worst torture ever. "Please, Elias, don't cry..."
Elias sniffed, childishly wiping his eyes with the back of his hand. His wings clung tightly to his shoulder blades, a dull aching pain beginning to spread. He wasn't supposed to be crying; wasn't he supposed to be the strong one? He just couldn't help it...
"I don't mean to cry."He whimpered, hugging himself as his glassy brown eyes flickered down."I just...don't want you going back. And knowing you have to..."Elias stiffened, his jaw becoming tight as his eyes seemed to dry."I don't want you to be alone in that place. I'm coming with you tomorrow."
"Coming with me?" June took a deep breath, shaking his head. "No. No, you can't..." Was Elias insane? What if he got hurt?
He carefully pulled Elias's arms around himself, like forcing him to give him a hug, and sighed. "Elias, you can't go back there... Just stay here, okay? Just wait for me here."
It was amazing how Elias reacted to June's touch alone. He seemed to go limp, his arms dangling by his sides uselessly as June's arms wrapped around his neck. That was the really bad thing about wings; they got in the way of hugs.
"I don't want to leave you alone."Elias whispered softly, his eyes glassy again."I can't." He pulled back to stare in his dark green eyes. Softly, Elias took his hands, so much smaller than his own.
"I'd go back a thousand times for you, June. I can't stand the thought..."He couldn't even get his sentence out."Please."
June stared down at their hands, not wanting to see Elias close to crying again. That just hurt too much. He sighed, but didn't answer.
Instead, he simply kissed him. The kiss was long and soft, till finally he pulled back just enough - their lips still touching - to say, "No." He couldn't let Elias get hurt again; even those wings, as beautiful as they were, were painful.
Elias stays very still, closing his eyes. He tried to think reasonably, even if it was hard. If the situation was reversed, he wouldn't want June going back. He met his gaze, obviously pained at his answer, but accepting it.
"Lexus will sneak you over every night."He whispered roughly."Okay? I have you so close to back. I'm not about to give up."
June winced, looking down. "Not... not every night..." There were things he had to do on some nights that he couldn't avoid, no matter what.
"But some nights, yes, of course," he said, forcing a smile. "I won't be able to sometimes, though, so don't try and wait up all night or anything."
