House of Trust (Ded. L.Lit.)

Aug. 25, 2012 at 6:27 pm

Timothy
Tim hissed and swatted at Sol like a housecat before leaping from his branch and taking off at full speed in the direction Harmony had gone. He felt like Sol and Beck were ganging up on him and he hated it. Why couldn't they just leave him in peace?

It didn't take much to find Harmony, and and Tim came to a stop when he did, panting heavily, glancing over his shoulder for Sol or Beck. It was no secret he hated being around them, especially when animal forms were involved. He looked up at Harmony almost pleadingly, as if to ask her to be on his side or to help him or something.

Amelia
Amy giggled. She liked Benji, she thought he was fun, and interesting. The possession thing sometimes creeped her out a little, but she never said anything about it. "Well maybe you should try another butterfly...?" She suggested uncertainly. "Perhaps a blue one, or a red one, or an orange one...?"

Natheniel
Meanwhile, Natheniel exitted the room, planning on going up to his own room, which no one, not even Benji, had ever been in or seen inside of. There were magics over it that kept anyone from entering or seeing without his permission, although he avoided telling anyone why.

Benji
As if freaked out by the idea of being crushed into a powder, the butterfly quickly left the room after Natheniel, whisking above his head as it made off towards the ceiling to one of the chandeliers [tell me if I'm being inaccurate about the house]. Benji stuck his tongue out at it. "Wouldn't I like to crush you into a fine powder," he muttered. Turning towards the two washing dishes, he smiled excitedly. "I've been red butterflies, orange ones, blue ones, black ones, white ones, and other yellow ones! But this one is special and super smart. I think it's immortal, too. The other ones always died after I took over them, so I don't do it anymore. It's sad to see a dead butterfly in your hand." Remembering, he slumped in guilt.

[Ah, forgot to mention so that the two posts connect better-- Benji possessed the butterflies but never long enough to fly or drink nectar. They died before he could fully control them.]

Harmony
Harmony spun around, to see Tim bounding out of the foliage, coming to a stop near her.
"Hey Tim!" She noticed his face looked odd... like he was disturbed or was pleading. "Is- is something the matter?"
Harmony heard a bark from somewhere a ways off behind them. Her face changed, to a look of sympathy.
"Oh. Sol and Beck again? I'm sorry! They probably don't really mean anything, you know."

Beck whines, confusion in his warm brown eyes. Maybe he should stop trying to prove that Tim could trust him... He had left his family to the fire, after all, so why should he expect to be trusted? He looks at Sol, cocking his head to one side.

Amelia
"Wait, so you think the butterfly is like Natheniel?" Amy asked Benji curiously, "You know, if it really can't die, I bet I could catch it with my vamp speed. I'm just afraid I'd hurt the poor thing..."

Timothy
Tim glanced over his shoulder worriedly, wishing he could turn into a human and possibly talk to Harmony, but knowing he'd have no clothes. He gave a groaning noise before walking around Harmony until she was mostly between him and Beck and Sol. He sort of stuck close to her, trusting her to be on his side. Maybe if Beck and/or Sol came to bother him, she'd tell them to knock it off.

Sol shook his head and paused to scratch his ear with his hind leg. He yipped softly and wagged his tail before bounding off again. As he chased Tim down, he shifted in mid stride and came to a stop a good distance from Tim and Harmony. No need to scare him off again. "I'm sorry," He said. Sol bared his throat, the only way he knew to show he wasn't a threat. "Didn't mean anything by it." He realized after the fact that maybe this wasn't "socially acceptable", being naked and everything. Nathaniel had tried explaining modesty and boundaries, basic stuff like that awhile back, and it was a lot to take in.

[Lol, yay for nudity xD]

Benji jumped up, excited. "You can try! But Mr. Yellow is super fast. I never catch him no matter how fast I stretch my arms. I can do this--" He lifted his puny arms and shot them rapidly towards the sink. In less than a second he had grabbed a clean ceramic teacup. Benji walked to the fridge and opened the door, grabbing himself some cold water. "Maybe if I shoot water at him he'll come down if I hit him!" He sipped a little water, then was dismayed as the liquid slipped to the floor, nothing to hold it inside. "Ahh, shoot. Water is so much harder to hold than solid things." Then he came up with a splendid idea. "Hey, mind if I possess you Amelia? It'll only be for a little bit, I swear!"

Amelia
Amy tensed, frowning deeply. "I believe I've mentioned once or twice that your whole possession thing kind of freaks me out..." She took a step back from him. "I think it's something to do with not having a soul, but I really don't like the idea of having you inside me. What would you even do?"

Timothy
Tim growled a moment at Sol, keeping his eyes on his and ignoring the lack of clothing. Still standing behind Harmony, he painfully shifted into human form and had the same hard expression on his face as he did as a leopard. "Don't even." He growled, "I did nothing to bother you and yet you come barking up my tree like some mangy mutt. Just leave me alone. And god, man, put on some clothes before you go changing in front of a girl."

Benji
Benji shrugged and tried sipping the water again. He didn't really expect Amelia to agree, no one really did except the crazier ones that weirded him out. He managed to hold the water in his mouth for a second, concentrating fiercely, before it dropped once again to the floor. He picked up a towel and wiped away his mess. "I always wondered why you thought blood was so good, that's all. And maybe I could catch that dang bug with your speed. I wouldn't feel happy if someone else caught it for me. But don't worry about it, it's fine if you don't want me to! Oh, I know! A watergun-- I've seen kids fight with those before! But I don't think they're anywhere in the house." Benji frowned. "Do you think Natheniel can let me get one?" He didn't know why, but he was always cautious about bothering Natheniel. He was the only one he really respected, and he never dared play pranks on him. What if he kicked him out of the House of Trust? He really didn't want that to happen, he liked it a lot.

Solas
That wasn't what he was expecting. "I am a mangy mutt." Sol said matter-of-factly. "It's what nature intended me to be..." He still didn't know how to tell him it was no big deal, nothing made sense to Sol. God was this communication stuff was tough. Sol had enough for one day, he shifted and padded off into the cover of the trees. He soon fell into a lope as he darted around trees. Sol liked to run, it was his favorite thing to do, and he could run for hours, he had even ran to the point of unconsciousness before. Sol got further and further away from the house, and Tim, as he ran.

Beck growls softly, loping away from the house as well as Tim's scent. Yes, avoiding the were-leopard would be much easier for him than trying to explain his reasons for being in the same area. He was more indifferent to Tim than the others, and for good reason when he thought of the leopard's dislike of Sol and himself. Let him warn us off. I'll go where I please, he thinks to himself.

Harmony
Harmony had frozen when Sol appeared. Flushing furiously, she kept her eyes just above him, while wishing that he would either go away or put on some clothes.
She felt like Timothy trusted her more then Sol, and was happy about that. It would be nice to have another friend here... especially because she was scared of Sol. Harmony knew that Sol was trying to adjust, and wouldn't hurt her intentionally, but he still scared her.
While the were-leopard and were-wolf growled at each other, Harmony didn't know what to do. After Sol bounded off, she stayed where she was. Tim had just changed form, and he was still behind her.
"So... he really gets on your nerves, huh? He kind of scares me."

((Bekah, I never said anything about Tim leaving, and he did change behind her to speak. Your post seems a little innaccurate...))

((Oh, gosh, I'm sorry Endless! I was desperately trying to catch up with the story, (Sol and TIm, you know,) and I must have mixed up a couple places. Sorry about that! Okay, I'll go delete that post, and rewrite it. ))

((Ugh, it cut me off!))

Amelia
Amelia bit her lip and shook her head, "I don't think Natheniel would like a water gun in the house, he doesn't like messes, and water guns are kind of messy." She hesitated, "Would it hurt if you possessed me?"

Timothy
Tim sighed, "I've got a deep feline fear for them. They don't ever seem to care though. I wish they'd just leave me alone." He stepped back from Harmony, "Sorry about the changing without clothes thing, I guess I should get going then...get back to the house while they're both off running..."
