(( Haha Liberty, I see you read Artemis Fowl. =D I prefer that type of fairy to the Grimm kind.
Midnight, yes, for the sake of the RP, there are two ways her "mesmerizing" can be fought: 1, if the person wears mirrored glasses. 2, if the person being mesmerized has a strong enough will, they can concentrate very hard on something else, to fight away the effects. Is that okay? Here's her complete skellie: ))
Name: Harmony Glistfeather.
Appearance: Harmony has fair skin, pointed ears, grey-blue eyes, and an elegant nose. Her mouth is too small, which gives her an odd appearance, mixed with her other features, which are beautiful for the most part. She has stick-straight, chestnut-brown hair, which comes down to her mid-back. Harmony is exactly 5"0 tall, which is very large for a fairy. She has a rather slight build, typical of fairies, however.
Personality: She's a bit of a control freak, but is likeable none-the-less. She can't stand not to know what's coming, and likes to have everything planned out exactly. Harmony goes ballistic when something doesn't go according to plan, and her friends find this extremely funny, much to Harmony's chagrin. When everything is going according to plan, she's a kind, humorous person, who is pleasant to be around. She enjoys a good practical joke as much as anybody, though shes usually not the one carrying them out. Harmony enjoys the company of friends very much.
Bio: Being very tall for a fairy, and not possessing the gift of healing, Harmony was teased beyond endurance among the fairy colony. At age 15, she could stand it no longer, kissed her parents goodbye, (the only fairies who really loved her), got their blessing, and left the colony. She wandered for several months, before finding the House of Trust. It appealed to her, because others there were freaks or outcasts, just like her. She's been living at the House of Trust for just over a year and a half, now.
Limitations: Her mesmerizing can be fought if the subject wears mirrored glasses, or if the subject has a strong enough will to concentrate hard enough on something else to block the effects of the mesmerizing.
((Alright, how is that, Midnight? Do I need to change anything, or add something? ))
((Character accepted Bekah. It seems to all work fine.
I believe I might make the starting post tonight, although it could be really late so we'll see.))
((Starting post. Sorla, if in your first post you could include what brought your character to the House of Truth in the first place, we should be good on that note.
Please keep posts in third person. Placing you character's name before their part would be appreciated. For first post, also place what they are next to their name. let my post be an example.))
Natheniel - Immortal
It was early morning, the sun just starting to rise. Natheniel was in the kitchen, sipping on his coffee as he looked out at the large yard that was between the mansion and the woods, through the sliding glass doors. He didn't know if anyone else was up, only that some of them would just be getting up. He briefly thought about the full moon coming up soon.
Amelia - Vampire
Amy awoke and scowled, knowing the sun was rising. She felt hungry, but not hungry enough to go looking for food. She stayed in a part of the mansion in which curtains always covered the windows, and which she had mostly to herself, except for with those who disliked the sunlight. She carefully care out of her bedroom, wearing a little black dress that was a little girl-ish but that worked on her well. She was bare footed, walking on the cold wooden floor as she carefully padded down the hallway towards the stairs.
Timothy - Were-leopard
Tim was on the roof again, a leopard resting in the warm sunlight. He eventually went back to the window of the top floor bedroom that was his and went inside. Without even changing forms, he headed down the stairs. Old Natheniel would be up by now, right?
[I hope I'm not too late, but I would like to join! This looks extremely interesting. I'd like to make a character that's a ghost or wandering spirit that can go through walls, stretch, paralyze and possess people. He can be bottled up and trapped, though, and he can only possess a person so long as the person doesn't resist too hard.]
Lydia woke up after a long nap. She stretched and arched her back like a cat. When was the last time she had felt so tired? Then again, that was a very complicated potion that she had made. Scrying Potions were very hard, and usually knocked her out for a week. She got up and went to find someone who would tell her what day it was.
((Sounds like an interesting character, Doktor. Post it and lets see if he gets the stamp of approval. :) .))
Name: Benji Lucidia
Age: 80, appears to be about 12
Appearance: Benji has a deathly pallor with an ice blue tint about his skin. His eyes are black holes slanted slightly upwards. He has no lips, just a gash for a mouth that hides little pointed teeth. He has a small, child-like nose. He's short in his uncontracted state, about 4'. He's very thin with long spindly legs. He wears a black sweater and blue jeans, but treads everywhere barefoot. Sometimes he will go na.ked when the fancy strikes, but he has nothing to show off. He's just smooth everywhere.
Personality: He is very curious. If something interests him, he stalks it or watches it avidly until something else diverts his attention. He is playful and can be quite mischievous, but he's not like a poltergeist that throws things and wreaks havoc. He likes to play harmless pranks on everybody, as he has little to fear except being trapped in a bottle indefinitely. He absolutely hates being trapped, unless it is in a bottle of alcohol. When he is set free from one of those, he emerges quite drunk and giddy. He cares about only one thing: to have fun. He doesn't care much for seriousness unless you scare him into being serious.
Bio: Benji doesn't know if he ever was human. He suspects it, since he retains a human-like shape, but it doesn't concern him too much. About 5 years ago, he was chasing after a bright yellow butterfly across a field, and he happened to reach the House of Trust. The butterfly flew through an open window, and Benji jumped through into the house and chased after it in the halls, not knowing the window had shut after him. When he lost it, he tried to leave but found he couldn't escape through the walls or closed windows and doors. Very intrigued, he explored the House, met the creatures living in it, and came to like it. He can leave whenever a window or door is cracked open, but he chose to stay. To this day, even though 5 years is a long time for a butterfly to live, he can still be found in the halls chasing the same yellow butterfly that led him here, never managing to catch it.
Abilities: He can stretch his body to huge, ghastly proportions. Since he's insubstantial, he can go through bodies, furniture, and walls (just not the ones leading outside). He can paralyze your movement by reaching inside your brain or spinal cord. He can also possess people for up to half a day.
Limitations: He can only paralyze as long as his hand is grabbing your brain or spine (which is not long, as he gets bored of that). When he pulls his hand out, you regain movement. You can also mentally resist him when he tries to possess you. He can also be trapped inside a bottle, just jab it into his eye and he'll get sucked in and stuck there after you lid it. Mind, he can break the glass if he tries hard enough to escape.
Extra: He leaves little presents now and again for people who he takes a liking to.
((Okay, this is a very interesting character. I don't see anything that needs changing so you're good to go Doktor))
(I'd like to join, if you wouldn't mind. I have a couple of interesting characters in mind that you might like.)
((I don't know, I really don't want to get too crowded on this RP with too many players to keep up with. Tell me about these characters?))
(Well, one (Cloe) is a Dark Fae, so close to human, but not quite and is supposed to be able to "talk" to ghosts, though she keeps it to herself because she's afraid of hurting people or being hurt herself because of that "gift", but she's extremely loyal were you to gain her trust, to a fault, even. The second one, Beck, is a hellhound, similar to a werewolf, but not as big and the form would be a Doberman rather than a wolf. He's a bit too open about himself sometimes, but he's not afraid to step up to anything he's done wrong unless he absolutely must.)
((Okay, I'm not so sure about Cloe. I don't think her "gift" would work out. As for Beck, I like him, and I'd like to see a skeleton for him.))
(I wouldn't need to keep Cloe's "gift", I was merely putting her forth as I would most often use her.)
Name: Beck Heart
Appearance: Beck has slightly angled dark emerald green eyes that go nicely with his dark brown, nearly black hair. He stands at about 6' 2" in his human form and is about 1' 6" at the shoulder in his Doberman form. He's slightly more tan than the average person and has somewhat angular features and wiry muscles, though he's not one to brag about his looks at all, especially not the burns that wrap around his arms like some sort of sick tattoo.
Personality: Beck tends to keep to himself, disliking trouble. He's not one to snap easily, though, and is loyal to all that he considers to be friends. Sometimes, though, he is a bit too trusting and will tell more about himself than is safe, but he's willing to own up to his mistakes unless it puts someone he cares about in harm's way.
Bio: Beck was always sort of the odd one out, the cause for his choice to keep away from other, particularly humans. He came to the house seeking somewhere he could live in peace and hopefully forget his family. He still blames himself for the fire that not only took his family's lives, but nearly took his as well, and he has the burn marks to prove it.
Abilities: He is able to shift from a human to a Doberman
Limitations: It is somewhat tiring for him to go between forms and so he prefers to stay in one form and shift as little as possible
((Well I can't find anything to complain about with Beck that I'd have you change, so he's approved. I'm still not sure about Cloe, also considering we already have fairies/faeries, which are pretty much close enough to the same, at least in my opinion. I just think we don't need another girl character who's a fae.))
(That seems fair to me. Thanks for letting me join.)
((Well the RP is already started so you can post. :) Thanks for joining.))
Beck - Hellhound
Beck groaned, his dark green eyes flickering open. He was fairly certain he wouldn't be the only one awake, knowing he'd slept later than usual, but that didn't matter too much to him as long as he was left in peace, though he was willing to talk, actually wishing he'd find someone to speak with. He rolled his shoulders, wincing ever-so-slightly at the feel of his burns stretching before making himself get out of the bed, running a hand through his thick dark brown hair before leaving the room and starting for the stairs.
"Original estimates of the solar system's speed were based on what Reid calls "one-dimensional velocity" obtained solely from Doppler shifts..."
Benjamin could tell that it was time he had to stop studying. He felt his head heavy and the sunlight that was coming from the wide open window made his eyes burn. Why do mornings come so fast? he thought and put his book away. He hadn't slept (as usual) at all but the night sky was more than worth it. He glanced at his telescope and smiled. Time for coffee..
He walked quickly to the kitchen and noticed that Nathaniel was already there.
"Goodmorning" he sent at him, He prefered Sending than talking. There was no point in wasting your time in talking when you can send your thoughts much faster.
He took his cup, which was full with black coffee and sat beside him.
"I've told you, Benjamin, I'd prefer to keep your thoughts out of my head." Nathaniel said, still staring out. Sometimes it made him wonder what he could possibly be looking for. He sipped on his coffee again. "Goodmorning."
Amy felt kind of hyper, although she wasn't sure why. She spotted Beck, also heading for the stairs. She was pretty sure she spotted a glimpse of leopard fur as Tim went down past their floor. "Morning Beck." She said happily.
Jennavin- Pari (fairy born of fire)
Jennavin was a light sleeper, she always woke up to the slightest sound. When she woke she usually stayed in her room pretending to sleep, but actually drawing pretend families. She liked doing that, pretending like she had family, maybe a little brother or an older sister. She hung them on her wall and she could stare at the hundreds of pretend families that she had made already.
She had started drawing pretend families ever since she found the House of Trust. She liked to pretend that they were all a family, maybe even draw them in a picture too. It was one of her quirks, but she didn't mind at all. Not one bit.
