With a shrug, Fleck headed off after the boy. No, she wasn't following him. She simply remembered that Mr. Goforth's room was down the hall somewhere.

"Well," Fleck muttered to herself. "Now I've just about seen it all." Shaking her head, Fleck pushed a few strands of raven black hair behind her pale ear. By the few numbers of students left in the hallways, Fleck knew she would probably be late. Cursing to herself, Fleck sprinted down the hall, passing the strange boy in the process.

"Really? That would be great; thanks." Sterling said; glad that he won't be completely lost. "Well; since I don't know my way around the school and we just met. I'm going to say yes; I am new." His voice was calm and he grins a little bit but it weakens. "Thank you again for helping me, Rachel."

(( I might not be here for the whole day since today is my little sister's birthday party; I'm really sorry. ))

Tristan ambled along slowly. The halls were nice and partially deserted. When the strange girl came pelting past him again, he payed no heed. Scriabin was now playing loudly, the wailing of strings the only thing he could hear.

When he finally entered Mr. Goforth's classroom, the bell had just rung. Tristan shuffled to his desk, head bowed. He actually did like Mr. Goforth's class. Most of Tristan's classes were much too easy for him. In some cases he felt like he could teach the class himself, but he got challenges here.

Tristan scrunched over his desk. He had taken off his clunky headphones, and they now were slung around his neck. The faint strains of Scriabin could still be heard issuing from the headset. He tapped his pencil erratically against his desk, waiting for class to begin.

Fleck's eyes widened as the boy from the hallway slid into a desk. Was he new? She didn't remember seeing him around last year. *Maybe he transferred or something* Fleck thought as she pulled out her notebook.

The notebook's cover had once been white. But once Fleck had gotten her hands on some black and red Sharpies, the notebook's cover had been transformed into her own personal art canvas. Swirls of red and black formed to shape an elaborate rose with thorns. Smiling down at her artwork, Fleck waited for class to begin.

((Just so you know, I know absolutely nothing about mutant science... But I'll do my best here. Pardon me if I don't actually say anything about mutant science in my POV. =D Can we just skip around the actual teaching part?))

Henry rang the bell, and looked up. Class was assembled. He stood up, glancing around the room.

"Good morning, er, ladies and gentlemen. I have decided to honor you and your maturity by not calling you 'girls and boys'".

He grinned widely at them, and then returned to his former dignified demeanor, as befit a teacher of the school.

"Welcome to class. I hope you have your homework done, and ready to turn in at the end of class. Notebooks out, please!"

Rummaging through his papers, he pulled out the stack of test papers.

"Since we just started classes up a week ago, I've been seeing varying levels of competency in the work you've submitted. So, I've arranged a short review-test for each of you to complete, in today's class. Just so I can see how to group you for any future projects."

Henry walked around from behind his desk, and went down each aisle, putting a copy of the test on each student's desk.

((Bekah, here are some ideas for you to use. There's tons of facets that can be explored, like the effects of radiation on the body (which would be especially apt seeing as one of the teachers has experienced mutant-science through gamma radiation ;) and then there could be lessons about how the brain comes into play in different mutations. Like, I was thinking that perhaps Tristan's ability has to do with a mutation in his occipital lobe, along with swelling along his corpus collosum, which would result in an ability like his. Though, I'm pretty sure the hippocampus has to do something with it, or maybe he has an increased connection between his frontal lobe and occipital lobe.

Ach, sorry, I was typing my thoughts. But he could be teaching stuff like that. Oh, and here's another idea! They could be working with DNA as well. Because physical mutations would have chemical differences with the alleles. The phenomes, if I remember correctly. It wouldn't be the genes, since genes don't play any part in physical mutations.

So, these are just some ideas you could implement, if you want. On that note, Princess, do you think I could create a teacher as well?))

(That's understandable, Polar Bear, we all have things to do offline. Even if we sometimes wish we didn't : )

Bekah, you can creatively manuever around the actual facts by having Henry hand out test and stuff without actually giving the specific facts. Plus, you don't have to have anything solid. The superpowers can come through mutation caused by genes, radiation, or basically any other reasonable explaination.

And, yes, Rosetta. It would be great if you could make a teacher. I may actually end up making one too.)

Rachel grinned. "No problem. Here we are," she stopped in front of the classroom, motioning to the still-open door. "See you later," she gave a little wave as she turned and walked down the hall.

Fleck sighed in disgust as the test landed on her desk. She rolled her eyes at the few students who had jumped right into circling letters and filling out open-ended questions. How could they be so prepared for a test so early in the day?

"This is ridiculous," Fleck muttered. She flipped her long black hair and pulled a pen out of her worn faux red leather bag. Half of the questions didn't even make sense to Fleck. As she racked her brain for answers, Fleck tried to sneak a peek at the nearly-completed test on the desk next to her.

It was strange, and definitely not normal; but Tristan absolutely loved tests. In his minds eye, he could see which answers were the correct ones, but he considered using his ability as cheating. He bent over his desk, blocking out any distractions. The multiple choice questions were easy, and he was left to writing in the margins when he ran out of space in the short answer section.

His handwriting was a small and cramped scrawl, but it seemed all teachers had this innate ability to decipher their students writing. The test was short, and Tristan was done soon. He put his pencil down, and chanced a glance around the room. He sat in the front; a requested spot that made concentrating in class easier if he didn't have to also have and entire classfull of possibilities to look through to the teacher.

There was always a low murmer of whispering going on in a classroom, to Tristan, even when everyone was really quite. Because there was always a reason for someone to say something to their neighbor discreetly, even if they didn't do it. Tristan caught sight of that strange girl who had shocked him that morning. He hadn't really noticed she was in this class.

In fact, he really didn't notice any of his classmates, since he spent so much time avoiding them. The girl was peering at another paper. There was a possibility of her looking at the paper on her other side, too. Looks like someone doesn't know the answers.

Tristan drew his gaze forward. He slipped out of his desk and handed his test in to the Mr. Goforth. On his way back, he gave a start as someone dropped their book-- wait. No, the didn't. If their elbow had been an inch closer to the book as they bent down to retrieve their fallen pencil, the book would've fallen. Back at his desk, Trist put his elbows on his desk and covered his ears. The muttered invisible whispers that usually accompanied test days were getting to him.

((I'm going to have the test that Fleck is copying off of belong to Peter Parker, if that's okay))

Fleck discreetly craned her neck, trying to get a better look at the test. The test's owner had the most illegible handwriting Fleck had ever seen. Suddenly, a note swiftly landed on her desk.

a

a

b

c

d

d

d

a

Fleck smiled as her eyes scanned the list of test answers. She looked over at her personal 'cheat sheet.' A boy with brown eyes framed by thick glasses and disheveled hair smiled softly at her. Fleck scowled as the boy winked at her.

"I'm Peter," he whispered, shooting Fleck another smile. "Peter Parker."

"Whatever," Fleck hissed. "Thanks for the test answers." She shot Peter a sly smirk as she flew through the multiple choice questions. When she reached the open-ended responses, Fleck just winged it. She paid no more attention to Peter until he slipped another note on to her desk.

Call me?

973-679-3099

Fleck shot Peter a dark look as she crumpled the paper and threw it into her bag.

((Also, if no one minds, I'd like to make a male student. I'll post the skellie in a minute.))

Ambi leaned back in her chair like she wasn't taking the test seriously. She wasn't a bad student; she probably knew most of the answers.

She grinned at the girl in front of her who was so obviously cheating off of the kid next to her. I wonder if Mr. Goforth will notice that. She's not exactly subtle.

((My, my! Fleck is cheating...))

Henry glanced up from his book, to check on the students. He noticed two of the students... Fleck and Peter, he thought... whispering for a second. Fleck seemed to have been looking at a second piece of paper.

Henry Goforth frowned. But then- it might have been an innocent "how're ya?" note. He didn't forbid notes in his classroom; just notes that involved cheating. He decided that he would ignore it this time, and wait to see how many answers Fleck got right on her test.

(Go ahead, Wafuleez. Just remember that since I already started the RP, I'm only accepting new characters as new arrivals to the school.)

She grinned when she saw Peter passing notes to Fleck. Either he was awkwardly attempting to flirt or giving her the answers. She decided it was the latter. She looked at her own paper just long enough to answer the last question and then placed her pencil on the desk.

She chuckled at the boy a couple of desks down from her, who was making water materialize and shooting it at other students.

((Here's my male student))

NAME: Alex Robinson

CODE NAME: Neos

AGE: 18

ABILITY: Controls water (from any water source)

APPEARANCE: Alex has shaggy sandy brown hair that hangs down, completely covering his eye brows. His eyes are sea blue with tiny green flecks sprinkled throughout the iris. He has a muscular frame and stands at about 6'2". He tends to wear tight-fitting black tank tops, baggy blue jeans, and black running sneakers. He has naturally tanned skin, leading people to think he grew up on the beach.

PERSONALITY: Alex is the party boy. He knows how to have a good time, and how to impress the ladies. He has a bit of a flirty side, which has cost him a few would-have-been-great relationships. Alex also is the kind of boy who pushes the nerds around.

BIO: Alex was found by Jim and Marie Robinson when he was left on their doorstep. Once his powers started kicking in, the couple decided they couldn't handle him. They left him at a circus (not the same one as Fleck's circus) where he performed in underwater shows. He's always had a thing for Fleck, seeing as they came from the same kind of people. But she's not interested him.

((Hope this is okay))

Name: Sandra Smith

Age: 35

Ability: Physical contact triggers psychic visions for Sandra.

Appearance: Sandra has tanned Puerto Rican skin and soft blonde hair cut to about chin length. She’s small and thin and isn’t much bigger than the kids she teaches. Her warm brown eyes are full of fun. She has a nice sense of style, but never looks like she’s “trying” to look like the kids. She has a different pair of shoes for all occasions and loves big, dangly earrings and bangles.

Personality: Sandra is one of the cool teachers. Her classes are relaxed and informal, with more open-ended questions that just right and wrongs. She’s loved by most of her students and guides them through more than just the classes she teaches; she’s a great role model and friend to most of the kids at the school.

Bio: She was married young; she was widowed young. Her husband died after four years, leaving her with a baby girl to support. (The baby is now ten.) Sandra worked as a creative writing instructor at a local university until Professor Charles Xavier contacted her to offer her a job at Marvel School. She immediately became a new addition to the staff, where she teaches both creative writing courses and acting classes. Now Sandra and her daughter Debbie both live in Marvel School.

"Hey, I'm Ambi," she whispered, her grin growing wider.

"Alex," he told Ambi, flashing her a dazzling smile. "And who might you be? Aphrodite?" Alex couldn't help it. Flirting came natural to him. He winked at Ambi and began conjuring up different water shapes.
