Adrienne

After skulking around the barracks for a bit, Adrienne figured she'd overcalculated when Reyna would announce the quest. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. And then, it appeared that there were war games tonight too. Maybe she'd watch; that would be entertaining.

And then when Reyna finally announced the quest and got whatever idiotic half-ready decorated demi-gods ready for the quest, Adrienne would waylay them and point them in the right direction. Then she'd make a visit to Camp Half-Blood.

Her stomach now rumbling to hard to ignore, Adrienne skulked towards the dining area, choosing the least occupied table to eat at, staring daggers at anyone who gave her weird looks. It wasn't as if she wasn't too strange around here. She popped in for a meal a non-monster infested place to stay once in a while She even somewhat liked the nickname some stupid leggionnare made up. The Wanderer.

Adrienne tugged her newsboy cap further over her ears and poked at her food. It was hard; to go from leading a huge army to being hunted and hiding in small corners of the world. But it was no use dwelling on the past; which was hard for her since she remembered it in every single painful detail. No- she'd have to keep her eyes on the present. And it didn't help to know the future as well.

Jack looked over at Adrienne, who'd just entered the room, he smiled adn waved, getting glares and weird looks from other camo members. "'i mliss Adeienne" he called to her, he waved to a spot next to him.  Jack didn't mind the girl, and didn't see why everybody shunned her so much, it seemed like they didn't like her tattoos.  But whenever he asked someone about the tattoos they just called him an idiot and didn't explain them to him.

"oh, you know- the old Marigold thing"

she shrugged as she swallowed her salad. she had always liked salad- another silly after effect of Ceres.

"he seems to think all I can do is plant rutebegas. and he's mad at me for giving him a pretty bad case of grass itch."

she sighed, digging out a crouton from layers of lettuce as her lemonade was magically refilled. she couldn't help chuckling- Rex had always been a tough guy, but he had the brains of an inchworm.

Kaden sniffed in understanding and sipped her drink, "Yeah, I get it. People used to call me "Old lady"

Kaden gave a mirthful laugh and shook her head, "They learned not to very quickly for ones so stupid. I was rather impressed."

Kaden shifted on the bench. Her cargo jeans has paint and dirt smears all over them, it was high time she cleaned them.

She once again propped her chin on her hand and observed the campers. Jack was in a far corner, alone, Kaden noted. And that strange little girl was sitting even more alone than Jack was.

Kaden was pleasently puzzled by the girl. She was a little bit of a mystery, and Kaden did love a good mystery.

(Roseatta: I'm thinking for Kaden's abilities she'll be able to see the truth in any situation, and the ability to use any weapon she touches like she's a practiced master.)

Jack turned to see Kaden looking over at him and Miss Adrienne, he waved and smiled at her then went back to eating his mac & cheese and sipping/slurping chocolate milk.  He looked over at Miss Adrienne to see if she'd talk to him.

Conrad turned to greet the new guy. He wasn't sure he'd seen him around much.

He gave him a once over. "Hmmm... I can't say I know your name," he said, smiling friendlyly ((I don't care if that's not a word, I've just made it one :P)). "Have you been to any of the Dionysus cabin's parties? I'm pretty sure I'd be able to place it if you have."

((Yes, Skyye, that would work ^^))

Adrienne

Adrienne stabbed her food with an irritated scowl, that was of course, different than her usual scowl. Okay, I come here about once or twice every month. And this dimwit remembers my name every single time. And he called her Miss!

Adrienne didn't know her actual age, but she liked to think she was around 13 or 14. The sad truth was that she was probably twelve or something mortifying like that. Which was extremely stupid, as she could tell the exact age of everyone in this godsforsaken building.

Adrienne propped her head on her hand and gave a pointed glare to the boy, hoping that he would get the not-so-subtle hint to stay away. And now there was a white-haired child of Minerva staring at her too. Couldn't she get her usual privacy anymore? Apparently not. Soon blatant staring was going to be joined with question-asking. And when people started asking questions, that would signal leaving time.

Darren turned to Conrad, "I'm Darren, I haven't gone to any parties" he shook his head, shifting from foot to foot. "I. . . I don't like that sort of thing. . ." he muttered under his breath, scratching the back of his head.

((Romans and Adrienne are in the dining hall- the greeks are somewhere...))

Raven glanced quickly at the girl across the room, a fast look, not a stare. Like an "Oh hi, you came in the room" sort of glance.  She had seen her before, what was her name? Ariadne? Raven gave a mental shrug, and started talking to Kaden again.

"Yeah, most of them back down after a few good punches or realizing how expensive anti- itch cream is.  But he doesn't, like he has a grudge or something"

She swallowed the rest of her lemonade,  rocking herself back and forth on her floor cushion.  She made a resolution to stop talking about Rex, think about wargames instead. They were attacking this time, maybe she could win a medal...

Jack noticed Adrienne glaring at him, he stared blankly at her for a few moments, trying to comprehend why she was glaring, then he realized, maybe she didn't want to talk to him, he grabbed his chocolate milk and dinner and moved to another almost empty table, he sat at the far end and started talking to himself again.  WHere was Dante? He hoped he was OK, but Jack was getting really worried.

He was late. Again. Stupid falchion, didn't want to stay properly polishedand sharp ... Dante had sat on his bunk for almost four hours, trying to get his sword just how he wanted it, and STILL, the blade felt a bit dull. When he finally gave up, everybody had long departed for dinner. He just hoped that there was some food left... he ran off to the dining hall, stumbling in as if he was being chased by a crazy drunk faun. "Sorry I'm late, sorry... I'm STARVING!"

Kelsey smiled at Darren. "Same here! Except- like I was telling Conrad- I love having fun. I just don't like wild parties."

She could tell that this kid was either shy, nervous, quiet, sulky, or all four. Well, who cares? Another potential good friend!

"So, Darren," she said, trying to put him at ease, "are you going to be at the campfire tonight?"

Darren smiled slightly back, he probably looked weird smiling. "Well, I guess" he told her, hes been to a few campfires, but usually he was practicing. "Sure, are you?" he asked, a little hopefully so he wouldn't be sitting alone, like usual.

Yes! He'd smiled. Hey, and it wasn't a bad smile at all. It just looked like he hadn't had much practice.

"I'm going," said Kelsey. She noticed his hopeful tone, and decided that he needed some friends.

One thing that seemed to be attractive to other kids about Kelsey, was the fact that she didn't leave people out. Mainly, it was because as a little kid with a deformed ear in a really nasty school, she knew what it was like to be left out. Bad. Hurtful.

"You're welcome to sit with me, if you want to. I don't bite, and I won't be noisy." She grinned. Kelsey had noticed that Darren tended to avoid large, noisy groups of people.

The wind suddenly caught her hair, and blew it back from her face. Kelsey's grin disappeared, and she grabbed her hair back so it was covering her ear again. The only person at camp so far who had seen it was her favorite half-sister from the Apollo cabin, who had sworn never to tell anybody.

Conrad smiled at the two. "I can sit with you if you want," he said. "My cabin don't usually behave much at campfires, it can get a little annoying. It'd do me good to sit with someone else." He didn't tell them that he'd been told to sort out his behaviour, or risk his place at Camp.
