The Gift of Prometheus (A Percy Jackson and the Olympians + HoO RP) Lit. Ded.
((Skyye, that's a very good question... The original plan was to send the Romans to my other charrie, who would in turn lead them to the Greeks. Right now, I was just sort of procrastinating so Suise would get her charrie up, so that's why things are kind of awkwardly dragging out. I'll do one more post for Levi after I'm done with my chores, then hopefully Suise can get her skellie up today and can integrate her charrie before anything too major happens.))
Jack nodded, "Sowwy." he said, "I forgot." he explained. He looked at his shoes, which were untied again. Shaking his head he decided to ignore it, his shoes were always untied it seemed. He looked around at teh scenery excitedly, he'd never been on a quest, everybody had thought it was unsafe for him to go. But he got to go on a quest!
(Rose: Alright, that sounds like a plan. We can just pause until she gets it up, if you want.)
((Whoops! I've been in a whirlwind of work and didn't intentionally not post. I talked to Suise-- apparently TI is glitching out on her computer and won't open the reply box, so that's why she's been out. Oh, and on a completely unrelated topic- I've been published in the TI magazine! Never thought I'd see that coming XD. Anyways, now that I have some time, I'll do a quick post for Levi to keep this up.))
Levi was kicking carefully around the unfamiliar ground when Kaden briefly attacked him. At least, in his mind it qualified as a full on assault. He squeaked and leaped backward in shock, bumping into Jack-- who Levi disapproved of his being here in the first place. Why, if it was up to him, he'd pick the best and brightest for the quest, and in Levi's cynical mind, Jack had no qualifying attributes.
Levi cursed in Latin- a regular curse, not of the magical kind. He completely ignored what Kaden had said about where they were heading-- normally that would be the kind of information he snapped right up, but now, he was still trying to wrap his mind around his undignified reaction.
But she tickled me. On my stomach. That's just- that's just-
Er, mortifying. Exremely embaressing. "Unpleasant, I'll show you unpleasant," he said sourly, still simmering. Leviticus, you are so overreacting.
It's a matter of pride, it's a matter of pride.
Levi scowled darkly and fell behind Kaden and that irritating Jack.
((Just a bump. And an excuse to heavily lament my position. I'm on the way back from football play offs with the rest of the band on a three-hour trip.... And they gave us the Lightning Thief movie as entertainment. It's sacrilege! That movie... It just angers me unnecessarily so.... And I could go on, but I've already vented myself out to My surrounding band mates, much to their chagrin. XD))
(I'm still here kinda. I'm on the road home and its really late and pitch black, won't be home until the wee hours of the morning. THE MARK OF ATHENA WAS AWESOME. I am so in love with Leo, and Percy and Annabeth!! Okay, I'll reply in the next day, I have a lot if sleeping to do.)
((Alrighty, Skyye. The end of the Mark of Athena really made me want to go hunt down Rick Riordan. What kind of man holds those kinds of cliff hangers over his readers!!! The critic in me distastefully notices how contrived an ending it had, but my fan-girl side doesn't really care. And yes, Leo is quite hysterical XD Have fun catching up on your sleep :P))
(Whew, okay, I'm back! Well, I've been back, but I forgot about this RP!! I feel bad, sorry!)
Kaden chuckled lightly at the squeak Levi let loose at her little attack. She liked teasing him, but she could tell when she needed to stop, so she did.
Cursing in Latin, naughty naughty. Well, not that I can blame him, you made Lucas blush like a schoolgirl just last night.
A grin tugged at her lips at the memory, her dad was always telling her she shoudln't curse. latin or no Latin.
Kaden turned her head slightly to glance behind her at Levi, "Yes, I am sure you will."
Behind her grin she sent him a hard look, don't cross me, pipsqueak.
Then, with one last bright smile, she turned around and kept walking.
((Sorry I kind of disappeared! And sorry if I do it again in the next month. =P December is going to be WAY too busy for me. ))
Derek slid his hands over the steering wheel. He turned the key in the ignition, and glanced over his shoulder. "Everybody in? Okay. This is going to be fun, y'all."
Kelsey gave him a withering glance. "Y'all? Aren't you from Washington, or something like that?"
Derek grinned. "That doesn't mean I can't use the word. It's a good word." He released the brake, and stepped on the gas. The car hadn't even been parked on concrete. It was just sitting on top of a small hill, and the road was visible about a hundred yards away. Derek gunned the Chevy down the hill, and took off towards the road.
Wind. Oh, dear. Kelsey hated wind. For several reasons. As soon as Derek had taken off, her hair, (and everybody else's) immediately became rather mussed, and the wind tossed it back. Feeling ridiculously self-conscious about her ear, Kelsey put her arms behind her head, elbows forward, and pinned her hair in place.
"Something wrong?" Derek questioned, glancing at her. For some reason, his new friend seemed rather paranoid about her hair blowing around. She'd done it earlier too. And it didn't seem to be for a vain reason... if it was an Aphrodite kid, he'd have assumed that that WAS the case. Ah well.
"I don't like wind," Kelsey admitted, tensely.
Conrad loved the wind. He leaned forward out of the window, the breeze rushing past his face as the vehicle moved.
After a few minutes he pulled his head back into the car, goosebumps covering his body. It was a little too cold for his liking. "Hey, how long are we going to be driving?" he asked. He aimed the question generally at everyone in the Chevvy because although Derek was the driver, Katie seemed to be the one with the plans.
((I've just finished Mark of Athena... I HATE RICK RIORDAN! How could he end it like that?! But it was kinda beautiful how he wouldn't let her go. And the whole sort-of love triangle between Hazel/Frank/Leo... Safe to say I am counting down the days until the next book.))
(I honestly want Leo and Hazel together. Frank is annoying.)
((I have to admit that Frank is my least favourite character. Although you do have to feel sorry for the guy; he hasn't had the greatest life/future.))
((Yeah, that's my problem... I really want Leo and Hazel together, but I feel bad for wanting Hazel to dump Frank, because he's had such a hard life. Frank's my least favorite too. No, wait- scratch that. JASON is my least favorite. =P Frank is next.
I think the part in the Mark of Athena that made me laugh the hardest was the flash-back part. XD "CUT!!" ))
(Yeah, i do feel bad for Frank, and Jason is my least favorite too!! I thought I would be the only one who didn't like the hot Roman.)
((Haha, yeah. I don't like the hot Roman, mainly because he IS a hot Roman. If he had more personality, had more defects, and wasn't so darn perfect, I'd like him more. ))
((I want Jason to end up with Reyna. For some reason, I just feel like out of all the characters in the books, she's the one who most needs a guy to fall on love with her. It can't be easy having every guy you've asked out reject you for someone else...))
((I'll post is mo, just felt the need to contribute to this conversation XD. Frank is definitely my least favorite-- having a hard life just doesn't cut it. After all, Nico was trapped in time, thought he was orphaned, had the one person he cared about killed, was influenced by an evil ghost king, and is a social outcast to boot. And then there's Annabeth, and even Thalia, and Percy, to a stretch (I'm thinking of Smelly Gabe :P)
And they all turned out epic. I dunno, I don't really like any of the Romans. If Leo deserves anyone, it's Hazel. On deviantart and other sites, there's also a lot of people in favor of Leo and Reyna, but I don't know what world that would happen in XD.))
((Hahaha, when I first saw the Seven demigods confirmed, my first thought was: 'Oh, poor Leo. He's the only guy without a girl in the group.' Then, my second thought was: 'Ooo! Reyna!' XD But then I thought logically about the pair-up, and the result would be chaos. =P ))
(Reyna and Leo's personalities would clash to bad I don't even wanna thingk about it, hehehe. I like the idea of jason and Reyna, though, I agree with Rosie, she needs a dude.
I miss Thalia, though! And I really like Nico.)
