((Arabesque and Sven are talking in the main tent while Advena (the alien) has just reached a sort of cult-like-camp looking for extra terrestrial life (it is in the town that the circus will be moving to shortly). Luka just opened the door to see who was out there and found her.))

[Ah, I was afraid you'd get lost... Starlit? Any remedies? ]

-Sven-

Arabesque's blush was almost irresistable. Sven stood a little too quickly -- he stumbled, gripping his side in pain. But he forced a smile, and walked over to her.

"You know, Princess, that your beauty is tearing me apart?" He smirked; of course, he himself was the one tearing himself apart. He chuckled lightly at his strange joke.

-Luka-

"What the heck are you?"

Luka blinked, staring at the thing. It's silver hair mesmerized him, as did it's girlish voice, but he shook it off. He kept his gun ready.

He tried again. "What are you, and where are you from?"

Whatever this thing was, he didn't trust it. Although he couldn't help but love the hair.

((Hehe “Although he couldn’t help but love the hair.” And as for Ninja. Hmmm…… Well, maybe he could……. Oh gosh. I really have no idea. .-.))

Arabesque

Arabesque tilted her head to the side curiously. Well something was certainly tearing him apart—that was for sure.

She made her way slowly to where he stood and moved almost as if she was going to kiss him. But instead, she ran her head gingerly up his side, trying to locate the injury.

“I’m going to kill you if you die from this.” she muttered under her breath.

Advena

Advena rung her hands out nervously. “I’m Advena.” she replied quietly “Advena Muse. I’m not from earth though.” she forged an innocent look.

“There was a war back home, I got caught up with a longstanding family conflict and well……….they sent me here.”

Looking up, she eyed him with an intense curiosity. “Is everyone here as tall as you?”

((That is going to have to be my last post for the night. :/ Sorry guys.))

-Sven-

As her hand ran up his side, Sven gasped in pain, and gripped her shoulder. But the pain was welcome.

"How can you kill me if I'm already dead?" he teased, trying to smile. Soon, though, he gave up his facade, and rested his head on Arabesque's shoulder, breathing hard. "I'm a mess, aren't I."

-Luka-

Luka gave a laugh without humor. "Well, I figured you weren't from Earth. I'm not that dull."

He watched her nervousness, still untrusting, but he figured that there were enough troops in and around the building to incapacitate her if she tried anything. Cautiously he opened the door a bit more and beckoned her inside.

[Same here, last post on here. Night! ]

((Sorry I haven’t been on all day; Mondays are always a bit hectic for me.))

Arabesque

Arabesque laughed bitterly. She longed to pull Sven into a hug, yet didn’t want to hurt him anymore. “You aren’t so bad.” she whispered “You just show it better than most of us.”

They would be leaving any moment, and she needed to get him cleaned up. Lord knew Sven would never do it himself. Well…..he had given those stitches that one time…………but that was something different.

Shaking her head abruptly, she pulled away with another slight blush and looked him over analytically. “Have you gotten the bandages yet? Or shall we start fresh?”

Advena

Advena hid a smile and trotted in. That had been easier than she expected.

There was a slightly musty smell inside that made her crinkle her nose, but that was probably only from being so unused to it. “Yes you are ‘that tall’.” she muttered, trying to look everything over at once. “And so is all of this—yeesh.”

[Don't worry! That's why I try to keep these bumped up ]

-Sven-

Shaking his head slightly, he tried to smile; though he was pretty sure it looked more like a grimace. "You know I don't get those myself."

He looked at the floor, embarrassed. "It turns out better when you do it for me, anyway." His eyes wandered to hers.

Another wave of vertigo hit him, and he swayed a bit before running a hand through his hair and sighing. "I feel so... wonderful."

-Luka-

"Believe me, I'm only average-sized. I can't help that you're just short." Luka's eyes studied 'Advena' for a moment, then flickered down the hall.

He led her through to a white room containing a table and two chairs. Lt. Monn was already inside, playing solitaire. The card box looked familiar.

Luka rolled is eyes. "Really, Warren? Don't you have your own cards to play with?"

Monn turned to him and his 'guest' flashing a brilliant smile. "Don't worry, I'll give them back this time." He nodded to Advena. "Who's the kid?"

"The question isn't 'who'," said Luka, pulling Advena into the empty chair. "It's 'what.'"

((Read, thank you very much for the offer. :) But I’m in a lot of roleplays as is, so I probably won’t be able to join.))

Arabesque

Arabesque raised one eyebrow curiously. Sven was one thing she could never seem to figure out. Most people were at least slightly predictable—not him. Of course, this very property may have been exactly what drew her to him so…

“Come along.” choked out, faking a smile and turning away quickly. “I will fix you up. And then, I swear I that am never going to take my eyes off you again.”

Advena

Advena smiled nervously at the other man, observing the odd rectangular pieces on the table in front of him. Were they some type of weapon? A food maybe? She couldn’t decide. He had them laid out in what looked to be a pattern. Maybe they were religious symbols.

She was so caught up in trying to figure this out, that she paid little attention to Luka’s words. Suddenly, he was pulling her into a chair. Her heart-rate sped up slightly before she realized that he wasn’t trying to hurt her.

“Oof!” she exclaimed, feeling a bit disgruntled.

“You can ask “who” if you want to.” she muttered “I wouldn’t mind.”

Sighing slightly, she slumped back into the oversized chair. “Though since you seem to want to know, I am a Voltarian.” she reached out to touch one of the cards gingerly. “What are these?”

-Sven-

"Thank you, my Princess," Sven murmered, letting her lead the way. "But, if you keep watching me, how am I supposed to have fun?" He smirked, knowing he was probably getting on Arabesque's nerves.

The sharp pain was beginning to dull into a sort of ache now; he sighed. He prefered the sting rather than the dullness.

"Princess..." he whispered, running his hand through her soft hair, "Am I a nuisance?" His brow furrowed at the thought. Of course he didn't want to trouble her.

-Luka-

"Voltarian, huh?" muttered Luka. "Wow."

Monn grinned at the little alien; he thought she was just adorable. "Those are playing cards. You play games with them." He gestured to his current failing game. "Like this; this game is called Solitaire."

Luka rolled his eyes. what would an alien care about Solitaire? It was just a boring game. "You better give those back this time, or you're dead."

Monn held up his hands, still smiling. "Hey, I told you I would! Don't worry. Ooh, it's Thursday -- did you wanna play poker tonight with me and some of the guys?"

Luka shook his head. "Nah. Poker isn't exactly my forte. So anyway, about this alien..."

"You should see Major Welton play," Monn told Advena with a wink. "That woman's poker face is so smooth... She faked me out of a hundred bucks last week."

Sighing, Luka furrowed his brow. He had a feeling that they weren't going to really get anywhere.

((Hehe Luka and Monn are funny. ^.^))

Arabesque

Arabesque entered the first aid tent and turned to look at Sven sweetly. “You aren’t a nuisance.” she replied with confidence. “You are a…friend.” Was that really what he was? Just a friend? “And friends are never nuisances.”

She rummaged around in the familiar drawers for a roll of gauze and located it quickly. Reaching for a bottle of rubbing-alcohol, she spun to face him once more.

“Now, what exactly do we have here?” she asked, making her way towards him. “Stomach again this time? Arms?”

Advena

Advena smiled excitedly. For games? That was much better than weapons.

Behind her, Luka was struggling to get to the more important topic at hand, but Lt. Monn pushed him away. Instead, he switched to talking about something called ‘Poker’. Advena guessed it was what the cards were for. Though he mentioned faces as well. A game with cards and changing faces. Poker and Solitaire she would have to remember those.

“Can you show me how you play the game?” she asked eagerly, leaning forward on the table. “And the faces too!”

[Why thank you XD ]

-Sven-

So he wasn't a nuisance. But he was only a friend to her. That was somewhat cruel.

Sven sighed, sitting in his usual spot on the floor. "Well... I was more restless than usual last night, so..." Gritting his teeth, he rolled up his left sleeve up as far as it would go. Thin red lines ran in no particular pattern down his light-colored arm.

"I have one here, too..." He placed his other hand on the left side of his stomach, wincing as he made contact. "But I don't know if I... want you seeing that one..." He looked up at her, his expression nervous.

-Luka-

"No, no, no." Luka ran a hand through his hair. "Warren, let's just get to the task at hand, okay?"

Lt. Monn ignored him. "I dunno if I'd be a very good teacher, but I guess I could try. You should probably ask Major Welton about a poker face, though." He picked up all the cards and began shuffling and bridging them. "We'll start with five-card draw; that's pretty easy."

Clenching his jaw, Luka simply gave up. Once Warren had his mind set on something, there was no stopping him. "You don't have the chips, genius."

((xD Does she? I guess she does have that sort of naivety to her.))

Arabesque

Arabesque nodded quietly. If he didn’t want her seeing it, she wouldn’t press. But she would still bandage the rest for now. And maybe by the time she finished those, he would let up.

“Here” she murmured, lifting his arm gently and dabbing the alcohol on it. Sven’s lack of aversion to pain always slightly bothered her. By now, Arabesque had realized that he seemed to almost like the sting of the disinfectant.

She wrapped some gauze around the first of his wounds deftly and quickly moved to the next. Her cheeks were slightly reddened at being so close to him—Arabesque hoped he would not notice.

“So ‘restless’ is the word for it, eh?” she asked with a bitter laugh.

Advena

Advena nodded intently, studying his movements as if they were an art. He made the cards do something weird—they all went together quickly. It was a cool trick.

Luka was saying something again now. "You don't have the chips, genius."

Chips? Weren’t those food? Why would they need that for a game.

[XD 'Weren't those food'... She's so adorable! ]

-Sven-

He tried to smile. "Well... plus the fact that I've been trying to stop..."

Ah, the burn of alcohol. So invigorating! He flinched when she touched the cold liquid to his skin. "That's freezing!" he said, surprised.

He suddenly went pale -- well, paler -- and clutched Arabesque's arm. "Maybe..." he forced out in a pained whisper, "Maybe you should... bandage my side too..." This pain, though welcome, was almost too much.

-Luka-

Monn thought for a moment. "Well, I guess we don't have to play for chips. What do you have on you, little girl?"

Luka raised a brow. He was somewhat curious as to what Advena was carrying with her too.
