Nico smugly smiled, though it dissipeared in a tight grin once Maria spoke. Like her, he asked questions before telling anything about him.
"Your whole family killed? Musn't that hurt you?" He asked, arching his eyebrows, his brown eyes solid and clear."Oh, yes, my turn." He added, the same smirk resuming his feautures.Instead of gazing at Maria, he turned to the sea, thinking. Considering his bravery, he shrugged to himself. Might as well answer her questions, though he didn't expect Maria to return the favor."I survived b stealing, by being cunning. I didn't know what to do, really, but I wasn't about to stay at my home." The last word was taninted with a slight twinge of bitterness, though it was hard to tell with the angelic smooth lines of Nico's face; he still looked darkly amused, like he was watching a fly struggle in a spider's web.
((HI! I'm back. But im sorta lost))
(((Me and you are still dancing^^)
my last post VVV
"Your a wanderful dancer" Jake said twirling her out on the dance floor"Thanks." Sido murmured, swirling back into Jake, her hair fluttering in the air briefly before resting back in place. Sido's sparkling eyes were lingering on their feet, as they kept with the classical music, their hands seeming to be connected as one, only leaving eachothers briefly every now and again.
She stared at the floor making sure that she wouldn't make the mistake of stepping on his foot.
"So.." Jake asked lightly dipping her
Maria stared at the sea, closing her eyes a moment. "It did not hurt me, not one bit," she whispered, opening her eyes on the last word.
"You sound bitter, why was home so awful? Home is where the heart is, but if you were not attached to your home then home must have just been a house... To be honest, you remind me of Alladin." She giggled, touching a finger to his dark cheek a moment. "In a nice way, of course. So colorful," she smiled at him. "Like a prince from a faraway land..."
Maria twirled in the sand, her skirts flying around her in the night. "A dark prince," she sighed, her hair whipping around her waist. "Tell me more," she whispered. "Tell me more about the dark man, the dark prince."
"So," she answered being brought back up.
he lightly laughed
she smiled a bit
"Can i tell you something Sido?" ake asked softly his face lightly blushign
Name: Selina Cancino
Looks: Long, dark curls to waist level; natural golden highlights; 5'2"; pale for a girl of Mexican descent; extremely thin
Personality: Quiet; reservedCostume: Deep royal blue dress; high-heeled shoes; White mask that only shows her brown eyes
Selina walked into the ballroom with a taller, prettier woman by her side. The woman soon found a partner, however, leaving Selina to quietly watch from the edge of the crowd.
Nico was unaffected by her finger on his cheek, though he couldn't deny the rush of color to his cheeks, the fluttering of his heart.
Instead of look amused, his feature shifted into intrest as he watched Maria twirl, the angles of her body defined, not even softened by her perfect curls, the roundness of her dress. She was so tiny, like a porcelein(sp?) doll. He slightly smiled, his posture still slouched, relaxed, though his brown eyes were focused and sharp.
"Aladdin?" He repeated, greatly amused. She called him a dark prince, a dark man. He gave a soft chuckle, an enchanting sound."I guess you can say I resemble him. Home?" His features turned into an unpturned scowl, a strange sight on such a beautiful face."not a good place for a dark man, such as myself." He answered, his face becoming smooth again. Nico never needed to wear a mask; he was constantly wearing one of humor or sneer. He moved closer, his movements once again resembling a lion; graceful, but dangerous."your turn again, Maria." He said, his tongue caressing the 'r'.
Maria grinned at the blush on Nico's cheek, glad to have such an effect on him. It was power to her, not affection, but a symbol that she could control him.
"Dark man," she mused happily, enjoying the name, "home is only where the heart is. So I would suppose that tonight, the world is your home." Maria's claret lips pulled up at a corner when Nico moved closer in a way that resembled the gait of a lion. A lion and a snake, what an odd pair they were.
"Hmm," Maria sighed for a moment, looking for something safe to say. Yet, after a minute, she quickly discarded the idea of safe talk. "I'm a murderess," she smoothly said, raising a brow at Nico. "I've killed three men. How? I will not share that with you."
Nico arched an eyebrow, a thing oh so common with him. "I must admit," He said sftly, his long tan fingers caressing a stray curl. That's one thing they had in common; long fingers."It does not surprise me, Maria." He finished, let the curl fall astray through his forefingers."You are dangerous; I understood that the moment those voilet eyes met mine. But I like dangerous. I like pushing my limits." He emphasized, an almost devi.lish smirk plastering his face.
Maria took a breath when Nico reached down to touch an out-of-place curl that had strayed from the rest, her corset protesting against the intake of air into her lungs. She soon took the lock from him and tucked into the rest, pulling them to wrap around her thin-as-death waist.
"Mmm, see Nico," she murmured, "that will be your end. You are far," she purred out the 'r', "too trusting of me. It's entirely unhealthy. I could lead you away into the woods right now and murder you, and no one would be the wiser..."
Maria looked out to the sea, and, taking Nico's hand, led him further to the shoreline, where the waves lapped over her bare feet and soaked bits of her skirts. "Is it not beautiful?"
He stopped dancing for a moment. "Sido, we've known eachother, since well before preschool..." He saw her nod lightly, he looked her in the eyes. "Sido, I love you."
Nico's eyes were molten chocolate as he looked down at Maria, his long black lashes brushing his cheeks. "I don't doubt your abilities." He cooed, his face serious. He allowed her hand to slip beneath his; her fingers were cold as ice, were his were a tingling warm. He stared out into the ocean, seeming impassive by the scenery."It is beautiful, but I have seen prettier Maria." he answered, tossing a sideways glance at her. He rose his free hand, his fingers almost tracing the crescent moon dangling above."now that is beautiful."
