Has anybody read this book? Thoughts?
im assuming youre asking because youre reading it in school. This book is pretty entertaining, as it was the edgy literature back in its time. Though it is bland at some points, character developement was what made this book memorable
I read this book for the first time about two summers ago, between my eighth and ninth grade school years, after I'd seen the movie. The movie was good, but the book was great! I was hooked from the first chapter. I love S.E. Hilton's style of writing. It's raw but smooth, making it easy to read the writing and feel what the character feels. When I read, I felt like I was Ponyboy, experiencing his pains and struggles as he himself went through them.
I read it in 9th grade and I don't remember much about it. But I do remember that I enjoyed it very much!
