I just finished this amazing book that takes place in the 1960's Mississippi about segregation and such. It was very entertaining and you definetely pick it up! My favorite character was Minnie. Has anyone seen the movie? Is it good? :D
I saw the movie. it was fantastic! I did cry, alittle but. I have not yet read the book. Our library's copies are currently out.
I loved this book!! My fave charrie was Skeeter(she reminded me of myself a lot of times) but Minnie and Aibileen were awesome too. Miss Celia was so sweet and clueless. XD I haven't seen the movie yet, but hopefully our library has a copy/is going to get it. :)
The movie is brilliant! I highly recommend it. It isn't one of the overblown, cliche movies about racism in the South. Gritty, true, real, comedic, touching, sad simultaneously. A great representation of the book.
I read the book first, and then watched the move. I don't know, I just liked the book better. I still recommend the movie tho, they're both good, but, DEFINATLY read the book first :)
A beautiful book and movie.
I agree! rented the movie a few months ago and really enjoyed it (:
