it is said that before your parents and their parents and their parents parents parents parents grandparents parents. there was a grand empire long forgotten by time, swallowed up by the sea. oh so you know what im talking about eh? yes i speak only of the empire of Atlantis! they say that the empire of atlantis ruled over the earth for thousands of years! compared to it, the romans barely owned an acre. for this kingdom was not one of land, but of the sea! its vast expanses encircled the earth and drew from its mighty oceans. the people of atlantis were the most intelligent race of beings ever to walk this planet, decades ahead of even modern technologies advances. their food would make even the finest cuisine look like a pile of trash. to look at their art was to see the face of god itself. the atlantians were a proud people and in all of the empires history not a single drop of blood was spilled. the atlantian empire was a sight to behold, and at the center of this great empire stood a city that stood on solid gold. a city carved from the marble of the gods.a city that would make every architect ever born, weep with joy. the city of atlantis stood tall and proud, as did its many rulers. the rule of atlantis was passed down by birth for more generations than exist in modern human history. the line started with a man only remembered as Atlan the great. he is said to have been cast off of his land and having no place to go he swam to the center of the oceans. there he treaded for 100 days untill the earth took pity and created an island just for him out of the ashes of a giant volcano. several hands have held the crown of atlantis but few stand in the hall of greatness. rulers such as titan, neptune, posiden, and oden. one specific king, wasw king Humberto. king Humberto stood at the throne while atlantis fell. and this is his story.
part one complete part two coming soon
act 1 Scene 1: "one, two, three, Heave!"
"Ok just one more, one, two ,three, HEAVE!"
"Hohohohoho." "Buck up you two!" King Humberto's voice boomed across the bay. he stood tall at 6"1 with long curly hair that cut off at his shoulders. he was rugged, with calloused hands and skin covered in a layer of sea salt; even so, despite his stormy apperance he had an air of peacefulness to him. a certain gentelness to his face. his head was thrown back in amusement as he let out a hearty chuckle. he was out on a fishing boat training his apprentices. two of whom were now wheezing and panting leaning over the sides of the boat. a large net of wrigiling copperskin tarmu fish lay on the deck. "I swear, you two haven't got a single muscle in your body!" called rina jokingly. "oh shut it!" snapped lance. "make me!" she replied. Lance's snappy comeback was cut short as the boat hit a wave that sent lance soaring over the side with arms flailing. he hit the water with a resounding smack that sent the entire boat head over heels with laughter.
to be continued.....
sorry it took so long ill try to update it daily from now on
act 1 scene 2: Lance sat on the deck scowling. His clothes were soaking wet and clung to his body, causing him to pull at his collar to avoid being strangled by his own shirt. it was a sunny day and the water was particularly warm so there was no need for a towel, and being an atlantian he was quite used to the water. he sat in scilence while the boat headed back to the docks. the others, however, were very lively. after all, they had just watched the prince utterly embarass himself in front of a bay full of people. There were seven children on the boat including lance. they were all part of a group called the apprentices. long ago king percy decided that the way to the throne should not be through birthline but through worth and skill. this resulted in a group of hand selected children being chosen to be apprenticed to the current king or queen (atlantians werent sexist) for 12 years. after their apprenticeship they would be tested, and the victor would become the new ruler of the atlantian empire. our story takes us to a very intiresting group of young hopefules. seven of them to be exact, three boys and four girls. now you've already met Lance, eldest son of Humberto. the prince of atlantis. he favors himself a leader but he cant quite get the job done. he's the athletic type, strong build but not to bulky; a powerful swimmer even by atlantian standards. unlike his father, his hair is sandy blonde and is close cropped with a small ruffle in the front. his face is dotted in small freckles and his skin is light brown as a result of countless hours spent in the sun swimming.
Enjoy :D see you tomorrow
