People like Bill Maher are the reason dialogues like those me and you have aren't all that common. He contributes nothing useful to intellectual discussions. He just makes noise and builds walls between people with varying world-views. He's on my top-5 least liked people on the planet list. Right up there with the pastor of Westboro "Baptist" Church.

Probably about 80% of the people Bill Maher makes fun of in the documentary are far more intelligent than he is. The fact that people think they're justified in laughing at Francis Collins, who was in charge of successfully mapping the human genome, just seems ridiculous to me. Disagree? Sure. Call him stupid? I don't think so . . .

Bill Maher is to religious people what bigoted, hypocritical religious people are to agnostics and atheists.

Glad to hear it. :) I'm doin pretty good too, except that it's been colder in Georgia than it probably is in Canada these past couple weeks. :( Least we got 2 extra weeks off from school though. :D

And :O *Standing Ovation* Well done, half, note, well done. Now you can experience the normal life of a teenage girl instead of dreaming of taking 40-year-old men out for tea or something. :p What'd this guy do to break your awkward fetish for old men? :)

And aww, thanks half. *Wipes away tear* I'll stop on by every now 'n then. You know, for updates on everybody's preferences in men and stuff. :p

*starts laughing uncontrollably*

Ack, don't make me laugh, guys, it's 1:00 in the morning and I'm going to wake everyone in the house. XD

And don't think I'd get over my fetish for middle-aged men that easily, mon ami. ;)

In fact, I've now got a picture of Justin Trudeau in my locker at school so I can drool over him on a daily basis. :D

I really do like this boy in my grade, though. We get along famously and he's really smart and religious (although he's Catholic, unfortunately). I think we'd be perfect for each other... once I convert him to Adventism, of course. ;)

Oh, and get this, every year around Valentine's Day my school does a matchmaker quiz for all the students, and today we got the results back. And guess what? My crush was my #1 match!! How's that for perfect? :D

And I'm good friends with my cush's younger sister and when she saw the result she just goes, "I knew it."

My face: O.O

And according to his sister, apparently I was his top result, too. I haven't talked to him since we found out, though, and I don't think I'll be able to look him in the eye any more. I expect an awkward moment in English tomorrow...

GAH. WHY WON'T HE JUST ASK ME OUT ALREADY?

Anyways, yeah... That's enough ranting from me...

I'm sure you aren't interesting in hearing every detail of my (nearly non-existant) love-life. :P

So how's it going with your girl, Collin? :)

Anyways, how cold is cold?

I remain skeptical that you're getting below -30'C down there...

"I'll stop on by every now 'n then. You know, for updates on everybody's preferences in men and stuff. :p"

I probably laughed a lot harder than necessary when I read that. XD

But please do. :)

Doctorbug:

Never thought of it what way? Is there something wrong with "tea"? ;)

Good, then your whole family could come inquiring, and you could choose between looking like a crazy person or telling them you were laughing in the middle of the night because people you've never met are teasing you about loving old men and then . . . well, looking like a crazy person. :p

And that guy has fat cheeks. :p Who's he? O.o

And wow. That was the most perfect example of teenage-girl-crush-ranting I've ever seen. Well, done, half.note. And hahahahaha! Oh, man. To those who don't think God's a practical joker, half.note's crushing on a devout Catholic. :p I'm sure you can romantically recite Ellen White to him once he "asks you out already." :p

And me 'n muh guh's doin' good. To avoid spending $30 on a dozen roses, I bought one rose for $4 and then used my literary prowess to write a long, romantic letter about how it symbolized our one year of dating. Who said men can't be both romantic and masculine sumultaneously? :) Then I took her to lunch and the park, and last night we sat on her roof and watched the stars. *Bows*

Not looking forward to the impending long-distance relationship that's inevitable with University and all. :/

And hmm, seein' as how I have no idea how to interpret Celsius (True 'Merican), I'm gonna say -30C is hotter than 30F and say, "You know it, so send down the mooses to Georgia."

And hahaha, "excessive list-making." Clever, half.note. Clever.

Collin, you're hilarious. Also, literary prowess ... *swoons* I think that's super romantic. Plus, I love it when people write letters.

Do you know where you'll be going to college/university?

Why, thank ya, Kat. Spontaneous compliments are always nice. :) And yeah, I figure one long, heart-felt letter every month or two should be enough to convince her to keep puttin up with me. :)

And I'm not sure yet. I got into University of Georgia as my back-up school, but I'll hafta wait til mid-March to hear back from my first choices. I'd really like to go to Yale (because it rated first on most Hogwarts-like schools in America, of course), and if not there then probably to Wheaton or Notre Dame, depending on who wins between the Catholic and Evangelical arguing inside my head.

So, basically… I’m crazy. :P

And that guy has fat cheeks. :p Who's he? O.o

“Fat cheeks.” Ohhhh, you’re in for it now, buddy… XD

And that is only the sexiest man to have ever graced this planet with his presence.

Seriously, though, you don’t know who The Great Justin Trudeau is? :o

I suppose I’ll have to forgive you because you’re ‘Merican and he’s a Canadian politician. The leader of the Liberal party, actually, and possibly the next Prime Minister if enough people are stupid enough to vote for him. And you thought God was a practical joker for letting me get a crush on a Catholic… *scoffs* Try the leader of the enemy…

And wow. That was the most perfect example of teenage-girl-crush-ranting I've ever seen.

Thank you. *bows*

And that’s actually really romantic… She’s a lucky girl. :)

Also, you don’t need to justify getting her just one rose. Girls actually find a single rose much more romantic than a whole bouquet. Don’t ask me why, we’re just weird that way…

And it makes sense that you would be out in the park and watching stars... 30’F is not cold at all… :P

That’s only about -1’C. If it was that temperature here everyone would be out in shorts and t-shirts commenting on how warm it is. XD

And are you sure you want all our moose?

And “excessive list-making” really is accurate. I seriously have at least two lists (if not more) going at any given time. I’ll have a to-do list, a shopping list, a list of things to pack, etc.

Oh, wait… was that just another list? O.O

See what I mean?!?

Anyways, lists keep me organized and are the only way I can remember anything. :P

God bless. ♥

Indeed, PB, "remembering and doing" are entirely different. Which is why (if you recall) I also have a list of things I am procrastinating on. XD
But at least if I write it down then there is an oppurtunity for me to remember to do it. :P
Plus, checking something off (or in my case, x-ing them off--which, for some reason, I like to do so much more) gives me a sense of accomplishment.

(By the way, I plan on working on that scale video for you either today or tomorrow. But no promises... :P)

. . . *Shrug* You said it, not me. :)

And oh, wow. *Puts hands up* I sincerely apologize for rocking your love/hate relationship with a random Canadian politician. Apologize to the picture creepily pasted on the inside of your locker for me, will ya? :p Though surely there's a Conservative up there worth drooling over?

And I'm glad you approve, my friend. Valentine's Day is so much pressure to be the ultimate bf. :/ And :O WHAT?!! Shouldn't there be. like, some kind of public service announcement for all the poor guys wasting money on bouquets? Any chance you guys think sterling silver's more romantic than diamonds. :D

And smh. Crazy Canadians. Don't judge me, half.note. You didn't experience the Polar Vortex. You don't know what those 2 inches of snow were like!!!!

And huh. Maybe I should start making lists. I'm incredibly absent-minded and forgetful. I once went through a drivethrough, paid, and drove off without my food. :( I'd prob. just lose the lists though . . .

"love/hate relationship"... Yep, that's the best way to describe it... My friend is trying to turn me off of Trudeau by finding a picture of him in a speedo (because apparently that can make any man look unnattractive). She says she may have to resort to photo-shop, but I'm hoping she never does, I like my bizarre obsession with the possible next Prime Minister. :P

And his picture isn't "creepily pasted" inside my locker.
*crosses arms indignantly*
Instead, I have a whole bunch of word magnets holding it up, and the magnets say things like "heart" and "kiss me" and "I love you" and-- Okay, yeah, nevermind... :|

*follows link expectantly to picture*
Ha. Ha. -_-

I do have a bit of a crush on Ezra Levant, though. He's not a politician, but he has a news/talk show on the Sun News Network where he talks about politics and current events, and he is very conservative.
He's attractive (in a goofy sorta way...), absolutely hilarious, and a pretty good dancer --> bit. l y/1aWGBSc
And like any good conservative he often berates Justin Trudeau and it is absolutely hilarious when he makes fun of him. Just... Amazing. :P

And yep, I agree, men need to be more informed...

I learned the little piece of truth about flowers when we had a guest speaker come and do a presentation at our school about relationships and s-x and all that fun stuff. Anyways, he had all the girls close their eyes and then raise their hands if they would prefer to receive a single rose rather than a bouquet. Almost every girl in the school (me included) raised their hands and all the boys were really surprised.
(Oh, and side note: My crush was actually sitting beside me during that presentation... talk about awkward... but hopefully he was taking notes. XD)

Bad news on the diamond front, though. I still think they're a girl's best friend...

LOL, Collin. You're hilarious, mon ami. XD

Yeah, I don't think you'd ever survive a winter in Canada...

And maybe you should invest in some sticky-notes for writing lists... :P
I just keep all my lists on my bed-side table so I never lose them. And really important stuff I need to remember I will sometimes write on my hand.

God bless. ♥
