half.note:

"we enjoy classical music (which is necessary to learn when being trained on an instrument)"

I disagree. There's no reason why it would be necessary for a person to learn classical, and in fact I can cite a very successful and fantastic musician (C418) who had no musical training at all to lead into his career, but learning as he went along he became one of my favorite artists.

Zander:

"btw not hating on ga.ys"

You're an abomination of nature and you've brought this disgusting, horrible evil onto yourself, btw I'm not hating on you at all.

But really your attitude is morally reprehinsible.

"an.al se.x is horrible for the body"

[citation needed]

Also, congratulations, you've just enacted the classic cop-out of saying that all good things are done by god and all bad things aren't, for no reason other than to keep from changing your mind.

Yeah...I've done a tiny bit of classical music, but as a saxophonist I've mainly just played jazz - its funner anyway because you can mess around with the song based on how you feel.

In regards to my statement about classical music:
Sorry, that was a rushed post, I should have said "common" instead of "necessary". I just meant that generally when you are being trained on an instrument, like when taking lessons, you will learn classical techniques.
I'm not sure what it's like for saxophone or other wind or brass instruments, but two of my brothers and my dad teach guitar and my sister-in-law teaches piano and voice (and I've taken piano lessons for 10 years), so I know quite a bit about that. And from what I know, they will generally teach classical pieces (Bach, Beethoven, Cimarosa, etc.) or even just the classical styles (staves and scales with guitar, the picking patterns, etc.).
And I'm not suggesting you have to be classically trained to be a successful musician, either. I was just saying that it is a good foundation for learning an instrument since it is very technical.

As for the topic of g.ays:
(*sigh* I hate getting into these discussions because it always gets so personal, but I'll do it anyway....)
Firstly, I'm sure zander will be able to explain himself tomorrow, but I think I know what he meant so maybe I can clarify for you guys.
(Correct me if I'm wrong, zander, but....) I think what he was trying to say was simply that h.omo.s-xuality is a result of the degradation of sin and not necessarily the fault of the person.

And stuntddude, your accusation/mockery of what zander was saying was a little misplaced….
"You're an abomination of nature and you've brought this disgusting, horrible evil onto yourself, btw I'm not hating on you at all."
When zander said “not hating on g.ays” it wasn’t because he said some unfounded insult (like you did in your example) and then took it back. He was just trying to be clear that he is against the sin, not the sinner.

you've just enacted the classic cop-out of saying that all good things are done by god and all bad things aren't, for no reason other than to keep from changing your mind.
How so?

God bless. ♥

what halfnote said is what i was going to say,
but ill say it anyway.
I never said being in sin ( acording to Go.ds word )
makes someone a horrible an "...abomination of nature..."
that came from you not me, and i love people.
also its any sin, not just one,
"... there is none righteous, no not one.
there is none who understands;
or seeks after God.
they have all turned aside; they have together become unprofitable;
there is nonewho does good, no not one..."

you see, acording to Go.ds laws if i break one rule ive broken one to many.
so how can i think badly of someone els?
even if I hate sin, I love the person, and also I have sinned so I need Jesus.
so does everyone els, so...
only Jesus Christ makes me clean, He covers my sins, but they still happened.
so im just as bad, and why do you care?
morals are just a laugh to you, so why stand up for something if it makes no difference?
your making me sound bad, but if there are no rules or guidlines i can say whatever i want right?
and nobody should mind.
but im not doing that, and I am being vary careful not to be rude or sound judgmental.
and if I am how about being corrected by someone who actualy believes in rules.
that way i feal its valid, because im braking someones rules, not just stepping on toes like  yours.
God bless, and i truely mean that.

Okai, so all good preferences are from God making us unique, and all 'bad' preferences are because of sin, correct?

I'm starting to wonder if the purpose of this thread was to trick those who are opposed to homose.xuality into joining in and then attacking them out of nowhere...

I love Calvin and Hobbes. Calvinball cracks me up- my sisters and I once tried to play it. I had a great time and they got mad that I kept changing the rules. :D

It honestly wasn't, I wanted to know what people's thoughts on different preferences were cuz i was thinking about how everyone here's so different in some ways. Mainly music-wise.

Anyway.

So one of my all-time favourite Calvin and Hobbes comics is the one in which Calvin goes like: "Somewhere in Communist Russia, there is a little boy who has heard of America. He dreams of coming here. Someday I'd like to meet that little boy.. and tell him the truth about this awful place!" and his dad goes like, "Calvin, shut up and eat your lima beans".

Makes me LOL so hard. I <3 C&H.

When I first saw Calvin and Hobbes I thought it was just gonna be a cute comic about a kid and his stuffed animal. But then I started reading more of it and I was like, I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR THIS.
