Fall Out Boy 4EVA :D

Also, Panic! At the Disco's new album is gonna be SICKKKKK

I'm at school now so I can't look up youtube, but just look up "This is Gospel" by Panic! At the Disco, their newest one.

"Where Did the Party Go" by Fall Out Boy
"Save Rock and Roll FEAT. Elton John" by Fall Out Boy

and "Kiss Me Slowly" by Parachute.

Trust me, none of those songs have ANY substance.

ANY substance.  At all.

ANYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

I don't know much about FoB, but after seeing the success of a song all about their incredibly pretentious stance on the "death" of rock and self-declaring that they were bringing it back, I've decided that I do not like them.

Stuntdude:

Gosh, I hate to actually start talking about substance :P

They're not actually talking about the "genre" of rock and roll, which is evident if you analyze the lyrics of the song and the other songs in the album.

They're referring to the general "idea" of rock and roll, as freedom and being yourself.

For instance, one of the bridges in "Save Rock and Roll" is "You are what you love, not who loves you", which is basically talking about how you shouldn't give into peer pressure and instead follow what you really love (in this case for them it's playing the music they love).

You see the album was all about them admitting that they felt "pressured" by their fans to make the kind of hardcore, angsty music and adopt the associating image when, in fact, that wasn't their personality at all and they are actually more "in tune" with the pop-rock 'happier' tone of their newest album.

If you watch the interviews they describe the ideas behind the albums and how they're speaking out against peer pressure and trying to change the idea of rock and roll from "drugs and alcohol" to "being yourself".

Anyways, you can tell I'm a huge fanboy :D

:D

PATD is awesome :D  I love "Northern Downour", and "Nine in the Afternoon", and "The Only Difference Between Martyrdom and Suicide is Press Coverage", they've gotta be my favorite songs by them :P

My all time favorite song in the whole world is "C'mon" by Panic! At the Disco and Fun.

As a concert percussionist and drumset player, I just like... *explode* whenever I hear it.  It's amazing :)
