Sorry, everyone (especially Doctorbug), for the delay in posting.

I'll get to this soon (hopefully bumping it will help me remember to do so).

No problem, half.note. I've had my own set of ignoring people of late do to my philosophy phobia...lolz.

By the way, as for the bumping thing, I've figured that it's just easier to bookmark a page.

"Philosphy phobia"?

Wow, that's a great word to describe it. :)

I get that every once and a while.
I'll be posting like a wild fiend one week, and the next I'm bolting past my computer trying not to make direct eye contact. :P

I think I'm just recovering from a particularly bad bout. But I'll still have to postpone my reply because I'm going shopping with my mom in a little bit.

I'll get to this later.

God bless. ♥

Haha, our similarities are eerie. :P

And, thanks. I will. I'm buying shoes for this summer, (which may be a little premature considering it's snowing right now).

Well, better go.
Talk to you soon.

That they are, that they are. But you gotta admit, it's EXHILERATING!!!! WEEE...I'm hyper. But you can probably already tell that.

By the way, did you say where you live before? Because if you did, I forgot and I'm too lazy to look.

Summer doesn't look like it's coming anytime soon where I live either--wich is Northern Wisconsin.

I live in Canada.
Leduc, Alberta (right by the capital, Edmonton) to be more specific.

Do you still have snow where you are, too?

Anyways, my reply to your really long post will be coming soon (I feel bad to put it off again, but I have to leave for church right now).

Happy Sabbath and God bless. ♥

No don't feel bad, half.note. I wouldn't put any pressure on you...partly because I don't want to be a hypocrite when I tell you not to put pressure on me, lolz! But thanks XD

Anyways, yes I do have snow. Too much of it. As for my Sabbath...grr. I'm as sick as a dog, but yeah, I had a very involved bible study with my parents and siblings :)

As for replying to that coming long post...eh, you probably won't get a response from me in a while. My computer needs a complete system restore and I probably won't be getting the means to do that for a whole week :(

Thanks,
God bless you too :)

I saw that you posted today, so that must mean you got all your computer stuff sorted out.

YAY!
I missed you!
*hugs Doctorbug*

Anyways, I guess now's a good of time as any to finally reply to you. :P

In regards to the Messianic thing, I don’t think you necessarily have to have Jewish bloodlines to be considered a Messianic Jew. It’s largely just a mixture of Christianity and Judaism, and is generally accepted as a Christian denomination.

Questions for you:

1. Are you completely vegetarian or do you eat some clean meat? (I am actually vegan: I don’t eat meat or dairy.)

2. Do you go to a Church on Sabbath? Is there a congregation of people who hold the same beliefs as you?

3. I’m just seeing if we have the same definition of Sabbath: Do you keep it Friday sunset to Saturday sunset? What sort of things can or can’t you do?

To answer your questions:

1. I don’t mind you asking. I am a girl, I just turned sixteen, and I have reeealllly long hair (And I mean, I’m talking past the waist long).

2. I am Seventh-day Adventist. Look us up on Wikipedia or just simply ask me, I’m always happy to answer any questions. :)

3. A better question is, “How do I get “Favourite Hero” off my profile. :P
They used to have a place where you could fill out your “Favourite Heroes” but then they got rid of it, but mine stayed. I can’t figure out how to edit it. Oh well, I don’t think I’ll be changing my hero from “Jesus” anytime soon. :)

Okay, hold the show. You know who Kent Hovind is? :O :O :O

WE ARE THE SAME PERSON

Stargate SG-1:

I know what you mean about SG-1 and Atlantis.

Haha, I should know where that quote came from, I mean, I’ve only watched every episode like 5 times each (and some probably closer to 10).

I know, favourite episodes are so hard to choose. XD
But in my top fifteen (in no particular order) are probably:
Window of Opportunity, 200, Urgo, Mobeius (not sure if that counts as one or two :P), The Quest (again, one or two? O.o), Upgrades, Bad Guys, Reckoning (man, I sure seem to like the two-parters), Prometheus Unbound, Arthur’s Mantle, Threads, Citizen Joe, Chimera, Zero Hour, and Crystal Skull.

Stargate Atlantis:

McKay is hilarious. :D

And I just love McKay’s Canadian connection.
You know in that episode where Rodney and his sister are kid-napped by the guy who wants them to use nanites to cure his daughter (“Miller’s Crossing,” I believe it’s called)? Anyways, in it Jeanie brings up the time that Rodney left her in West Edmonton Mall. Cool thing is, I live in a town just outside of Edmonton, home of WEM! It just brings the show so much closer to home when they talk about a place I’ve been going to since I was little. :D

Also, on the topic of real-life connections to Stargate, my family owns a music store and one of our suppliers had his trailer blown up by the Stargate crew!
Don’t worry, it’s not as bad as it sounds, they had permission. :P
Apparently, since Stargate is filmed in Vancouver and that’s where our supplier is based out of, our supplier’s warehouse is right by where they film and they asked if they could blow up is trailer.
I’m not exactly sure for which episode or even which series, but I’m pretty sure it was Atlantis (and me and my sister guess “Vegas,” since that’s the only episode they blow up a trailer on).
Anyways, I actually got to meet this guy when he came into our store, and I felt like I was meeting a celebrity or something. :P

Okay, back on topic:

I never cared a lot for Ronan, but he did bring a good balance to the team.
But how could you not like Teal’c?!? He has some very good character development and some great lines, in my opinion.

Agreed, Woolsey was the best leader.

I never really liked episodes with the Genii. I preferred episodes where the team (especially Rodney) was getting into trouble without a major antagonist. Tao of Rodney is a shining example, and so are episodes like Duet, Grace Under Pressure, Irresistible (Lucius was hilarious), Irresponsible (Lucius returns!), Doppleganger (probably actually my all-time fave SGA episode), Tabula Rasa, Harmony, The Last Man (funny and a really cool plot idea), and of course Brainstorm.

Stargate Universe:

*nods head*

Yep, probably a good idea just to stay away from it.

Voyager:

LOL, I love Tom. He’s funny, carefree, and mischievous. And he’s cute… :P

I never liked Janeway at first, but after a while she really grew on me. She was probably one of the best Star Trek captains.
I just wish Chakotay would have gotten together with her instead of with Seven. :(

The Next Gen:

I liked the romance near the end of the series with Troi and Worf, but overall I did find her pretty dull.

And yes, I agree that Riker was rather sleazy.

*joins Doctorbug behind couch*

Data was definitely the best character. I did like Worf and Captain Picard, as well.

I know, when Rodney said ZedPM I was like

“Yes!”

You have no idea how much I enjoy our conversations. I’m so glad you’re back! :D

God bless. ♥

Hey, has anyone seen the new Star Trek 2?

I saw it last night and thought it was pretty great.

I nearly cried when Kirk died. :(
But I also thought it was kind of funny that the exact reverse of that scene happened in the Wrath of Kahn. XD

Anyways, thoughts?

Awww, thanks half.note. To be honest, I've missed you too and I was like "Please don't let this beginnings of a friendship disappear into the nebulous mists of time!"

Eh, I suppose so (in regards to the Messianic thing). I don't really worry about it too much. I just learned today that actually (according to God anyway), the gentiles that come to Him through Jesus become "Israel". That the land of Israel actually is our inheritance just like the believing Jews. I was kinda confused on that before but now I'm happy.

Answers to you:

1. I eat kosher. I actually enjoy eating meat (if it's prepared right). But it has to be cooked really well so there's no blood in it.

2. Unfortunately, the island where I live is so small there's only two churches and they both congregate on Sunday. So I just have home church with my family and grandparents (who used to be seventh day Adventists--they quit the church because my grandad was a pastor and he wasn't allowed to teach certain things...so yeah).

3. I keep Sabbath from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset, yes :). Technically, we're not supposed to do any work -- cooking, cleaning, whatever. Dad even says I can't write or create things on Sabbath. To be honest with you, I haven't actually been keeping it as strict as I should. SORRY GOD!!! I'll work on that!!!! 0-0. Actually I brought it up with my dad the other day. I was like, "Seriously, Sabbath is stressful! Can't we just chill? Sleep in late? You know? Not have to get up early and go to 'church'." Because you know how stressful it is to have church in your own home. You have to CLEAN IT UP first so that's it's presentable. And with 8 people in your family, it doesn't stay clean from just one cleaning on Friday. You have to clean it AGAIN on Sabbath. Something I hate doing, partly because I know we're not supposed to, and partly because I would rather just take the day off and read my bible or something. Waahahahahaha. I'm ranty. I'm very ranty. HAHA.

In response to your answers:

1. That's LONG hair, girl! I'm fifteen, did I tell you that? I'll be sixteen this summer :)

2. Hehe, I know what Seventh-day Adventists are. And most other denominations too, comes from having a dad that's obsessed with that sort of thing. But I'll make sure to ask you questions about it, might even debate you, haha. I'm always looking for a good debate (sticking to is another matter-you'll have to help me there).

3. True...but I was wanting to put Jesus ON my profile :(

4. As a matter of fact, I do. Have you heard of Dr. Jason Lisle and Greg Bahnsen? Lisle is with Answers in Genesis and Bahnsen is...uh...dead. I really wish I coulda met him and shook his hand or something.

Girl, I need some way to get your email or something, so I can bother you in a way you'll notice! You can get mine here: htt p://ww w.missliterati.co m/u/Doctorbug#.UZp04bWsiSo

Stargate SG-1:

I have not watched that show in like forever! Ugh! Partly because I don't have enough money to actually buy the seasons :( and partly because my family doesn't really want to check them out from the library and wait a whole month to get them for the 100th time.

Stargate Atlantis:

I have watched Miller's Crossing sooo many times. It's the one episode my sister will actually watch with me because she loves it so much :)
Speaking of show's bringing you to home, how many times have you heard Wisconsin mentioned? Me? Twenty-million times over! For crying out loud, Dr. Jennifer Keller lives in Chippewa Falls!! I love how she says “Well, I hope not,” in response to Ronan when he's telling her the wraith will kill her when they were on the Daedalus and Todd had taken over.

Also, on the topic of real-life connections to Stargate, my family owns a music store and one of our suppliers had his trailer blown up by the Stargate crew! --- Me: whaaaa....? *with face of shock*

Don’t worry, it’s not as bad as it sounds, they had permission. :P --- Me: ooooohhhhhh *with still shocked face nodding dumbly*

I would totally feel like I was meeting a celebrity too!...even if only I'd heard about him, lolz!

I immediately guessed Vegas too :P – I think we've officially established that we live on the same planet, lolz. I told my one friend about you. She's spied on your profile (she's on teenink too—name's Roseatta), and she was like, “half.note has read the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy!!!!?!?!?!!?! Okay, I approve.” That was all the credentials you needed.
I was laughing so hard. I haven't read the book, but my mom has and so has Roseatta, and between the two, they've convinced me to give it a shot sometime in the future. Have you read Ender's Game?

Speaking of Roseatta, have you been to the Roleplay section of teenink? You've gotta be careful though, some of the teens there do some unsavory things, but if you get the right people to roleplay with, you can have an awesome time! :D That is, if you even like roleplaying in the first place. Do you?

Regarding Teal'c, to tell you the truth, it's been a while since I've seen him in action, and I don't remember a lot. All I remember is a stoic face and never saying anything except “indeed,” which was always so hilarious. The one time when he came on Atlantis, went to show how much he was better than Ronana though :)

Don't remind me of Lucius. The times I've watched his episodes, I've completely died of laughing, I don't need to go through the trauma again, thankyou. *stuck up face*.

Stargate Universe:

I'll take your word at it. Officially staying away. By the way, if you haven't watched Firefly yet, stay away from it. Or did I tell you that already? Blech, I often repeat myself!

Voyager:

Okay, so after watching a little more of the show (the first time I watched was when I was like 8), I have officially decided that I like. Paris is adorable! In fact, my mom compared me to him...lolz. Just a female version maybe, haha. I don't mind the comparison. It works XD.

I agree, Janeway is an excellent captain! I just love it when she says things like “Take this domestic squabble somewhere else....OFF MY SHIP!!!” *die of laughing*

TOTALLY AGREE (does my using caps bother you?) – if Chakotay was going to get together with anyone, it would have to be Janeway, otherwise, nobody.

I have also decided that I love B'lanna's character, and I think that Paris and her are totally awesome, possibly better than Worf and Dax.

The Next Generation:

Data is my all time favourite (within the next generation universe—Spock is the best within the Star Trek universe)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!---multiply that by infinity.

The difference between Riker and Kirk, is that Kirk actually had charisma! Blarg...

We must continue them then (the conversations)!!! That's a direct order from the Great Doctorbug!

Star Trek 2

I have not seen it, but I definitely am planning to once the library gets it! Seen some trailers though. Waiting for Ender's Game (the movie) and The Hobbit too :)

Kirk dies 0-0? *fall over and die of grief*
I should resurrect myself sometime before I keep dying over and over. Pity that I can't do that. Only one man in history actually managed it that I know of.

What happened in the Wrath of Kahn? I actually own that movie...but it's on cassette so I can't watch it as I don't have a VCR anymore :(

The MAGNIFICENT Doctorbug:
XD

I was going to get to this. I really was.
*puts on innocent face*

Your answers:

1)  Okay, makes sense. Interesting to know about you. :D

2)  “…the island where I live is so small…”
You live on an island!?! Too cool!! XD

And of course, being the stalker I am, I peeked on your profile and then looked up where you live on Google Maps.
I also got directions from my town and discovered that we live 2, 617 kilometers apart and that it would take me 26 hours to drive there.

*realizes how creepy that sounded*
:O  :O  :O

And I just knew you must have some sort of Seventh-day Adventist connection! There’s no way you could be so similar to me and not have an Adventist(s) in the family! XD

3) Sabbath sounds pretty strict for you.
I get how sometimes in an effort to make the Sabbath a day of rest it can just become stressful. :/
I think that as long as you are taking a break from regular work and are communing with God, the Sabbath is a blessing. :)

“And with 8 people in your family…”

Oooh, that’s quite a few. Is that including your grandparents? How many siblings do you have?
(I myself have five older brothers and a younger sister.)

In response to your response to my answers:

1)  You’re not much younger than me. I just turned sixteen a week and a half ago.

2)  Your dad is a theology nut like mine, eh?
My dad probably knows everything about religion, and even science or any other topic you ask about. He’s an awesome father to have around! XD

3)  Sorry, can’t help you here. :(

4)  Nope, never heard of them. But I’ll be sure to look them up when I have the time. :)

(Oh, and I will reply to your email right after I post this! Promise.)

SG-1:

Poor Doctorbug. :(

*puts on black dress again*

And not to rub it in or anything, but my sister’s friend (who’s also a Stargate fan) came over for a sleepover last weekend and we all watched Stargate: Continuum (BEST MOVIE EVAAAA!). So awesome. XD

Atlantis:

LOL, never even noticed the Wisconsin mentions (though I probably will from now on!).

And what are your thoughts on McKeller (McKay + Keller)?
I liked them! :D
Almost as good as Jack and Sam.

Same planet for sure!!!

I’m glad I received your friend’s seal of approval.
She’s on TI, you say? You should tell her to post in the P&T forum! I’d like to meet her.

I didn’t know there was a Roleplay section? O.o
What does that even mean, exactly? XD

Oh yeah, Teal’c and his “indeeds.” LOL. My goal is to one day watch through all the episodes and count how many times he actually says it. XD

*never mentions Lucius again for sake of Doctorbug’s life*

Universe:

Stay away from Firefly. Got it.

Voyager:

Great. You now realize that I can’t stop picturing you as Paris with a high voice and wearing a girl’s wig, right? XD

Oooh, my favourite quote of Janeway’s is when she says, “There’s coffee somewhere in that nebula.”
Always.
Makes.
Me.
Smile.
:D

And, no, caps don’t bother me. Not at all. CAPS AWAY, MY FRIEND!

Janeway + Chakotay
Paris + B’Elanna

Yeh-eh-ssss!

The Next Gen:

Agreed about Data.
As for Spock, I do love his character, but I haven’t actually watched too much of TOS.
But strangely, I do love the Original Series movies. O.o (The Voyage Home was my favourite!!!)

Star Trek 2:

Woops. Should have said “Spoiler Alert.”

*facepalm*

*tries devising a way of wiping Doctorbug’s memory*

Oh, and in the Wrath of Kahn Spock was exposed to radiation when he saved the Enterprise and ended up dying (really dramatically, I might add, with Kirk on the other side of some glass).

I mean… uh… SPOILER ALERT!

H.ell:

Indeed, I don’t believe in eternal h-ll, either!
I’m a rarity, am I not? XD

And  *happy dance*  your with me on this one! Yay! :D

Talk to you soon!

God bless. ♥
