You guys ever heard that song? Happy Day by Tim Hughes, or Jesus Culture, either on is great.
Oh Happy Day, Happy Day!
Forever I am changed
Oh Happy Day, Happy Day!
I'll never be the same
My Wednesday night Youth Group plays it pretty often (I play the drums :D)
Cool, I wish I could play the drums.
Yes, I've heard it. It gets kind of annoying. I like this one better: I can only imagine, here I am to worship, and .... Darn it, I forget my favorite one -.- how does that happen?
I'm really bored right now :(
I don't know that song. I know how to play a lot of praise songs on my guitar.
I seriously thought this was a new thread in responce to my thread " Sad Day". XD
^ I'm guessing it is. Seems like something he would do. XD
Ah, you see my padawan, that brief moment in time where you thought this was a reply and then actually read it and came to your epiphany was the exact moment in time that this thread was designed for.
This piece of creation revolves around that singular moment of time and space.
The purpose of this thread's life is now fulfilled.

Drums are fuuuun :D All percussion is fun, I love playing marimba and xylophone too.
YOU SHOULD JOIN THE DARK SIDE
I thought so.
Haha, according to my mom, the moment I dyed my hair purple is when I joined the dark side :P
Best praise song there is: Get Back Up by Toby Mac. Sounds like he's saying "Love Collin!" at the end. It's my themesong.
Legit though, Streets of Sarajevo by John McCutcheon is the best song of all time. Not necessarily Christian, but expresses Christian values. Listen to it immediately.
Flyleaf is pretty cool too :)
Gloria by WorshipMob. I listen to it almost every single day. (I know, that's weird, isn't it?)
I go through little song crushes...I'll be obsessed with a song for a few days, then I'll find another. Right now it's Arise My Love by Third Day.
How's learning the piano going?
Everybody who knows me at all knows I love the Beatles.
I have a Beatles poster on my wall and about five or six different Beatles t-shirts.
I have practically all their songs memorized and I sing them often.
I was sad that I didn't get to go to the Paul McCartney concert when he came to Edmonton last year.
As far as Christian music goes, though, I love my dad's scripture songs and the hymns we sing at church.
Didn't see that one comin'. I never had ya spotted for a Beatles fan. They're kinda . . . . . sickeningly Liberal?
I love Toby Mac :D
You should try some Sk.illet and some Jonathan Thulin too, great stuff. "Bombs Away" by Jonathan Thulin has to be one of the most thought provoking music videos around, watch the video, don't just listen to the song.
I've actually taken a pause from piano to hone my drumset skills for the upcoming Jazz Band auditions.
But after I get in (WHICH I WILL), then I'll be back to learning piano :D
Perhaps, though I don't really think about it. :P
Still, I grew up listening to the Beatles, and they are undoubtedly fantastic musicians.
Besides, I don't really listen to music that just agrees with my values. As a musician, I appreciate music that is actually music (opposed to the mindless noise that most people listen to).
As well, a lot of the Beatles' music is pretty neutral and universal (which I think contributes to the fact that they've been so astoundingly popular for so many years).
Have you ever heard of the cup song?
My friend taught it to me and my sister. It's a lot of fun (in fact, it's rather addicting), and since you're a drummer, maybe you'll enjoy it.
Here's a link to a performance of the cup song on the TV show "pitch perfect":

Search up some tutorials if you want to learn how to do it yourself.
And are you going to take piano lessons or are you just hoping to teach yourself?
Yup, I've played drumset for about 2 years now :D Including for my youth group on Wednesday nights :)
I can't see that video now at school, but I'll check it out when I get home :P
I have lessons, I just postponed them in favor of drum lessons to help me sharpen up in time for auditions.
HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD OF THE PIANO GUYS?
(Sorry, as long as we're discussing music I thought I'd bring them up... They do classical covers of popular songs, and some hymns- their versions of 'Nearer My God to Thee' or 'O Come O Come Immanuel' are fantastic. They are worthy of all caps. :)
Or, if you're interested in the non-religious stuff, 'Micheal Meets Mozart' or 'Peponi' (an African version of Coldplay's 'Paradise') are great too.
Cool. And good luck, my friend.
Piano is really fun to play. It's great that you're learning. :)
