Okay, finally doing a proper introduction...
Welcome, Jay, to our little corner of the internet. :)
I'm half.note (I don't really have a nickname, but you're welcome to come up with one if you want), and as you could probably already tell from the debate going on in your thread, I am a Christian. A Seventh-day Adventist, to be exact. I'm very conservative (both in religion and politics), so I have a feeling we'll probably get into some interesting discussions. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to get on this forum much anymore, so some of our debates may be cut short, but hopefully we can still both benefit from them. :)
I hope you enjoy your time here and decide to stick around.
God bless. ♥
I guess I'll do an intro to!
My name is tactical, or in real life, people call me prince. I am an athlete that people say I play every sport known to man kind. Obviously, that's not true but I'm an avid and may I say, elite track runner, sprinting and dominating the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay. I also love the natural world, Zoology, biology, and paleontology. Also, I love strategy and as my name suggests, tactics. That's why one of my favorite video games is breach and clear. I like anything that takes a military strategist and mind to win the war
You sound like quite the achiever, Prince (or do you prefer Tactical?) :D
Glad to meet you :) I'm DrBug, your resident 17 year old female American-Wisconsinite. I've been homeschooled most of my life, though now I'm completing both my junior and senior years at a public school near where I live. Though I don't think you'll see too much of me, I thought I'd go ahead and introduce myself anyway, lol. Welcome to the forum :) Here: It's good to have an opinion!
Nice to meet you! My real name's Kira. :) I'm new to this site but already in love with it. I'm a Christian (Anglican to be specific) and on the younger end of the age spectrum. I love debating religion and philosophy and I'm thrilled to have found this forum!
Hey Kira! It's nice to see a new profile picture around here ;)
I'm Drbug (clearly). I'm from Wisconsin and I'm a junior in high school right now. Follower of Christ. Female. 17. Not sure there's much more to say. I'll think of something later, lol. Nice to meet you :)
Hello, I'm Amai-kun. I'm an agnostic and a pansexual male.
Also, as you can likely see, I like Japanese. I'm currently enrolled in an online class in it.
Have a good day.
I'd love to properly learn Japanese at some point. Might I ask what online class it is?
P.S. shouldn't your name be in katakana? Or does that not apply if it's an adopted Japanese name rather than a foreign one, or something like that?
Hey Amai, do you live in Japan or somewhere else? Just curious. I know I talk to people a lot online as if they live in the US, lol, and I realize I've been talking to you as if you live in the US when I don't actually know that.
Egg, I just reread your post and it says "I like Japanese," NOT "I'm Japanese."
[goes to sulk]
Stunt, you are a wonderful human being and you make me proud to be alive.
Anyway, katakana is for foreign names (like my name in real life). So, for example, your name would be written as スタント, or 'Stunt,' because it's a foreign word. 'Amai' is a Japanese word (meaning sweet). So it doesn't need to be written in katakana.
However, I am amazed you know about katakana. And the online class is a dld learning course.
I do actually live in the US.
However, my father is Japanese, so I am half-Japanese. You were half correct, so it's all good.
Oh :) Okay.
Officially replying to your posts now!
half.note! If you mean you don't have a nickname derived from your username, try halfsies
I think the reason I don't have a nickname is that "half.note" is pretty short already. It doesn't really bother me that I don't have a nickname. If the other people on here felt the need to come up with one for me they probably would have already. :P
Thanks for the suggestion, though!
God bless. ♥
Note for the newbies: The filter loaths URLs, so if want get a URL in, you need to come with a creative filter loophole. My favorite way to it is to put vbar's around the dot like this |.| The vbar is a straight line located on the key that also contains the backslash, this key should be below the backspace, hit shift and then the backslash/vbar key.
The vertical bar is called the "pipe" character.
