i love horse back riding. i have a lesson once every week, unfortunalty my lesson horse was sold, but i love riding so much, i'm still going to do it. now i know people have this "thing" about english and western. which do you perfure?
by the way love your avatar.BRAVE! i ride english once a week no constant horse but my aunt owns a stable and my other aunt owns 3 horses so i've been around horses forever. It's so much fun. Different then other sports because you can connect with your partner(the horse) and then they respond to you...whether its a good response or not :)
i love horses and always have. I am western forever and ride whenever i get the chance or am able to get my lazy butt off the couch :) but what is english riding like i mean i have never until a couple of weeks ago seen someone accually ride english
I loooooove horseback riding. I usually ride English because my friend who I ride with does dressage but for trail rides and for fun I ride a gaited horse named Hershey. it's nice and easy because you don't have to think about posting at all(:
haha we have a gaited horse too but i dont ride her cuz she is only 13.2 hands but my brother rides her cuz she is an awsome beginners horse
i think riding english is more comfortable, different sadle, and i think its less rough than western riding.
um no offense or anything but have u ridden western cuz i tend to think it is extremely comfortable :)
i actually have ridden western thank you. but i still like english best :)
All depends on what I am doing. For instince if I am doing one of my endurance rides I ride english since its easier on the horses back but if am just doing a pleasure ride or work I use western but if I had to chose between the two I wouldn't pick either, since bareback riding is so much fun!
Well, I have to say I prefer English but maybe because I'm an english rider? I am an english jumper and jump my horse Bugsy at home up to 1.30m (4 feet 3 inches) and compete up to 1.15m (3 feet 9 inches). I have been riding since I was 4 and in the past 2 years with my new horse have won more titles than in all my years combined (thanks to my awesome horse and amazing trainer). Thanks for reading!
Live free, Ride hard!
I ride english, but I live on a farm (trainers daughter yes I know *sigh*, I'm not snooty like the legends!) and my mom only teaches english so I've never ridden western.
