I love softball, too! Do you play? well that's kind of a stupid question... I hate it when people think that it's not that great exercise.. just because it doesnt work the whole body x.x Oh and if you play, what position?

Wow, so do you play travel? I just started pitching, so I'm not that good and I can only do one kind of pitch (just the normal one... fastpitch?) no risers or anything. But I can play first, 2nd, and outfield. :)

I dont play travel(because of my older sisters bad experience with it) and yeah I play fastpitch! Ive been pitching for about 5 years, but I am just now starting to get good at it! lol last year when I was in a younger league, I played 1st base the whole season except for one inning of pitching! So outfeild was kinda new to me, but I got used to it! And I only play a summer league :( My fam is kinda too busy with school(my mom homeschools us 5 kids) and other stuff so...yep. how about you? do you play fastpitch? do you play travel?

So do you just play on Rec teams? Oh wow, you're homeschooled? I'm so jealous :3 Do you like playing first? Cuz I think there's a lot of pressure on first because if the ball gets fielded it's usually up to the first baseman to catch the ball and get the out... Do you do any sports during the school year then? Outfield is usually pretty boring, especially if you're just playing Rec because most people aren't that great and don't really hit triples or homers.  I started fastpitch this past spring, but it was really fun. Then I did a camp in the summer which helped a lot and I was thinking of trying out for a travel team, but 1) I don't think I have the time since swimming takes up a lot of time and 2) the travel team plays in like NC and places that are like 5+ hours away, and my parents don't have the time to drive.

Im not sure what Rec is, I just play in my towns summer softball league! And I love 1st base kinda because of the pressure! Im pretty good at feilding the ball, so I think thats why I used to play 1st base all the time! I prefer playing the field than batting! Idk why, I just do! And I dont play any sports during the school year, but I would love to play basketball! But like I said b4, my fam is pretty busy! But the basketball team I want to play on is the one my best friend is on and they travel alot!

Wow basketball?! I can't play basketball for my life x.x but I hope you'll be able to play sometime :)

A Rec team is Recreational team, so you practice once a week and have games once a week, so it's not as competitive or as committed as travel.

I guess I get what your saying about playing 1st because  of the pressure... I like fielding and batting equally, because both are really fun! .... Well they both have their good points...

Oh okay! Well I dont know what you would call my league besides just fastpith softball! we normally have practice 2 times a week about a month b4 games start, then we have about 1 or 2 games a week plus practice! An the reason I prefer feilding is because I have just started, this season, to step with my body when I bat, but I am not very good at that so I pretty much just pivot! But Im getting better! Somtimes I take my lil bros plastic bat and pratice my batting stance in the house! lol I love softball! Im so sad the softball season is over!

It's okay, I don't step when I bat either... Should I? D: Haha, have you heard the saying "squish the bug" when people teach you how to pivot? It's funy xD Oh, I wish I had a summer league like that in my area :3 That sounds perfect for me.  Oh, so like Rec softball would be having a season now, so that people can still play.

Haha! Yeah, ive heard that saying for batting and pitching! I wish I played a fall league! And I dont think you realy have to pivot when you bat to be good, I think it just helps to give your swing more power! My power comes pretty much from my arms! But Ive been working on adding the rest of my body with it! Same with pitching! When I pitch, I make my body flow with it! Im so glad Ive gotten used to doing it, cuz it realy does help your pitch!

Oh cool! I love playing first, but I was put on a new team this year and they already had someone for first so I mostly play left feild! And I also pitch!

I used to too, but then I moved up and more action goes on in the outfeild this year. I'm hoping to pitch alot more next year, since I have been practicing and getting better! And two or three of our pitchers are moving up next year, so they may need me to pitch! I'm so excited for next year! :)

I play pitcher :3 When not pitching i'm kind of an all-around, but generally I'm on the rubber. :3 I play PONY league, does anyone else? :D relaly good excercise, and my pitching coach makes me sprint and everything so I get lots of excercise from it. :D @-MidnightAngel-: Naww, outfield is a really important position! All positions are. Outfielders get a lot of pop-flies and hard-hit balls, especially the older and more competitive the players/playing gets. At LEAST every other play was involving the outfield this past season! I can't wait for softball season to start again! :D

I wish I had a pitching coach. :( Thepitchers on my team all had dads who new how to pitch well, so that's why they're so good. But my dads never been taught, so he can't teach me. And neither has my mum. I mean, my coaches try to help me, but they don't really explain things well. Actually, it was my first softball coach from four years ago that taught me a good way to pitch, and so I'm doing that now 'cause it works well. I'm kinda hoping I'll be pitching more next year, 'cause some of my teams regular pitchers are moving up. :) And Yeah, I can't wait for softball season to start again! I wish I played a fall or spring league, not just summer. But then again, my family travels alot so it might be hard to. Or maybe it would be better, 'cause we do most our traveling in the summer... sorry, just thinking out loud. haha! :)

Hey I play Sball too! I wish I could play travel but sadly my parents say that I already have too much on my plate with basketball!  I still play school and intensive though! I play pitcher and 3rd. I pitch windmill and was my school team's only pitcher. I pitched every single inning I possibly could (a pitcher can only pitch a max of 5 innings in the reg. season). Do you guys get nervous before games? I get super nervous, usually I find it hard to sleep the night before a game and usually can't focus in class. I still love pitching though and it is worth the nerves. Any tips on how to keep your nerves away?

I play catcher and i love it. My first softball coach said, "To love something it takes sacrifice and to sracrifice you must love what you are doing. Our HS team won Districs this year and lost to Dixion in sectionals we had 4 good seniors we lost.
