i also used to but my sensei was cruel n i quit a long tie ago but i kept playing alone n even now can play it

I play. Not well but I still play. Music just isn't my thing
My dad used to, and two of my sisters do too, but I don't.
I play the piano, but my instructor and I had different ideas about her teaching methods and my practice schedule so I sort of learn pieces by myself now. It's just that I tend to put piano after schoolwork and my schoolwork usually doesn't get done. So... I play piano mostly during the summer or on weekends. Hooray.
I Do! I play roughly thirty minutes a day, and have a lesson on sundays
I am a Level Four student. I can sight read just about any piece off the top of my head. I have a lesson tomorrow, and every Wensday from a lady who has been teaching for 70 years. The lessons are ok......it depends on the day.
70 years? yikes! JK... right now I'm doing a third grade book, about half way through.
That's awesome....yeah 70 years, Shes really old and cranky, but she is a good teacher.

The hardest piece I was learning when I quit was Romance by Sibellius. I was able to play it when I memorized it but I can't read it up to tempo without having it memorized... it'sreallyhard.
paperflowers you do realise sibellius is not an artist, it is a music composition software for computers, i have composed 3 piano songs from sibellius called :
Moonlight lake (piano and violin)
Laughing old men (piano)
boneyard flemenco (piano)
I've been playing piano for about 8 years now. I think I am pretty good:) I also write music. It's like singing my journal out loud but it's therapy and joy. Some of my lyrics are posted on here. Piano is the greatest!
I agree! Although I sometimes get frustrated when the songs are hard or I can't play the right notes.
Yes! I play piano (although I'm Asian and most Asian parents make their children learn piano... I actually wanted to play it as well as a kid). I went up to a certain level, and quit lessons, but I still play. I currently teach 3 disabled students on basic piano skills.
Im an amature at playing the piano...
but next year, I am looking forward to play the guitar.
