It's just a random thought, and I wanna know if anyone has gotten anything more interesting than "up a tree".

For me, probably a three-way tie between on an airplane, a beach in Mexico, and in the shower. (I have a waterproof notebook and pencil.)

Dude!!! Where in the world did you find a water proof notebook?! I feel that would be extremely useful ecspecially for writing poetry.

Oh gosh. Well, I haven't written entire stories down anywhere farther than my bed or computer, but I've written little snippets of stuff at church, at the zoo, and at the bowling alley. I think my friends' mom thought I was writing down my score, but I was actually describing some random lady's perfume! XD

And I've written on the beach. :D

Well, "up a tree" definitely applies to me, but... hmmm... the craziest place I've ever written is probably in a tent, during a thunderstorm, above treeline, at 12,000 feet elevation.

I think 'in the shower' probably wins... :)
For my part, the strangest place I've ever written would probably be in the hay barn of my Grandpa's farm.

There have been times when I've sat out in the snow and in a plane, as someone said earlier. I've written in my Grandma's apartment in Denmark and once or twice just sitting in the bathtub without any water in it. Just chilling there in my clothes and everything.

Gosh! I didn't know people could be that into writing! In the shower . . .? And Marisa's! In a thunderstorm, in a tent, above the treeline? Actually, that would make a pretty good story. All I've got to say, is wow. The craziest place I've ever written is probably in our van. You guys bypassed me bigtime!

I know right?! These peeps be crazy! I l♥ve it! I've gotten some pretty good ideas in the shower...Often some decent hiaku's...They usually leave me when I leave the shower :( I'd write them down but I don't want to run through my house soaking wet and naked...

I just looked up waterproof notebooks and pencils online, and you would not believe how many there are! There's Aqua Notes, and Rite in the Rain, and lots more! That looks sooo cool!

P.S. I'm glad you decided against running through the house naked! That would've been... Awkward.

I got mine at ThinkGeek. It has pages you can tear out, and I just stick those to my shower wall, and bring my pencil!! It wasn't too expensive when you realize how cool it is!

I looked for that on Think Geek, but I couldn't find it. They might've discontinued it or something. Oh, and how much did your notebook cost? The stuff on Think Geek is really expensive, and I found some online for about eight bucks.
And I'm changing the craziest place I've ever written. I remembered that I wrote at camp. Yeah. That's the craziest place. I know, it's pitiful, but it's better than 'in our van'!

Yeah, I looked it up on Think Geek too. Cool stuff. No waterproof notebooks...Write in the rain had some small ones for like $3. Hey, that's just me. For my writerly notebooks I like 'em the size of diaries. (...Usually they are diaries...The one one I'm using now doubles as a chess and checker board! XD)

'Sokay Superhero_fan, you just need to go on more adventures...In the rain ;)

Where did you get a chess board notebook? (Or diary, I couldn't tell which one you were talking about.) I agree, I DO need to go on more adventures. I still don't get why anyone would go outside while it's raining to write though! ;)

Wal-mart. It's maginized for hours, upon hours, upon hours of fun! XD Personally I'd rather run around like a crazy person when it's raining (We don't get much where I come from) but from what I saw on the write in the rain website it was like feild journals and stuff mostly meant for peeps conducting research.

You got it from Walmart??? You must have a way better Walmart than I do. And I'm sorry it doesn't rain much where you're from. I love it when it rains! Especially when there's thunder and lightning! (I know, I'm crazy, but that's just how I was made)

I knew the rite in the rain notebooks were scientific and all, but I don't like science. (Sci-Fi on the other hand...) But I did mention Aqua Notes! That was meant for writers!

The craziest place I've ever written in was in the middle of safeway. I was shopping with my brother when I got a idea for a book so I yelled at my brother to get me pen and paper and once we checked out I tore out the notebook and pencil and sat down in safeway and wrote it down.
