Something so ultimately stupid and unfair happens. How does your characters respond? Or are they the ones that did it? What is the moment and exactly how does it all go down

Here it is! :) P.S. this can sort of be considered a sneek peak to another clip I wrote ;)

CD: Something so ultimately stupid and unfair happens. How does your characters respond? Or are they the ones that did it? What is the moment and exactly how does it all go down
“You’re just, just the most annoying person I’ve ever known! You’re stubborn, bullheaded, troublesome, you never listen to me or Roxie or Pete, you never know when to just back off! You fight with anyone and everyone!  You disappear for months at a time and never tell me anything like when you’re leaving or getting back, or where you’re going! What am I supposed to do!?! Just sit here and twiddle my thumbs waiting for you to return not knowing if you’re cheating on me!  You are just so hard to deal with and now for once you aren’t saying anything! Why is it now that you choose not to argue!?!  I need you to talk to me!”  Her eyes were starting to tear; Jack didn’t look at her, if anything he looked further away.  He hadn’t said anything all night and this was a celebratory dinner yet he did nothing but sit there and take the blows.  “UGH!” She practically growled through gritted teeth.  “That’s it Jack Wolf! We are throw until you get over or through or whatever through this mess of yours!”
As if that was a queue he stood quietly, a shamed appearance to his movements, scooted back in his chair and headed for the door a few feet away.  But right before exiting he cast one longing look back at her with an intense heartfelt gaze that immediately started calming her, but it was too late, for that was a look of him saying good bye to the final strand he had severed.  She didn’t know it but he’d been cutting off everyone to save them all, to save them from himself.  She stood as he left as though to go after him, then sat in shock, a small sense of what was to come washing over her.
“Did I really just do that?” She knew he was having relationship issues and should have stayed by him during this hardship but didn’t.  “I’ll see him tomorrow and we can make up then.”  She said this out loud more to try and assure herself than to announce it to any eavesdroppers,  but it did just the opposite and she knew she wasn’t to see her love for a long time.

This isn't fair

“You can't do this to me, Denise!” Jade cried, beating her arms against the shut door. “Please, isn't one sister gone enough? What else do I have to lose? This isn't right!” Jade's banging was insistent, she refused to br silenced until sweet, innocent Abigail was back in her arms. Her fists slowed, getting quieter as her thoughts got louder. And more devious. Then they stopped. Jade rose to her feet, creeping around the house. She attempted to open every window and unlock every door, to no avail. After all other reasonable courses of action are taken, Jade sighs. She snatched up all of the rocks in the yard, stacking them into a pile. Jade took the heaviest she could find and launched towards the window. Alarms wailed, but Jade was not deterred. On her feet in a flash, she threw herself into the house, on an immediate search for Abigail. Jade heard her cries ringing through the house and followed them to the toddler. Denise was nowhere to be found, so with a satisfied smirk Jade lifted Abigail and, together, they escaped into even darker territories.
