The World's All As It Should Be

Stay where you are,
Don't move.
The unseen are riding tonight.
They have waited for this hour--
The Awakening Hour--
They have prepared so long for this night.
Listen well,
You can hear their cries.
Look at that,
Up there in the skies--
Was that a full moon I saw?
The hall clock begins to chime,
The winds are starting to call.
Florrboards are creaking,
Creatures are sneaking.
Was that a skeleton hand,
Peeking out of the night?
Is this house shaking,
Or is it me?
Darkness surrounds the walls.
I'm trapped
I'm dead
I'm frightened
Yet--
The world's all as it should be
