Some of us pray for a new game
a new toy
a new electronic
the latest clothes
Jewlery
Or even shoes
 
Others pray for
Food
Money to feed their kids
To live another day without fear
 
We don't know that we have a roof over us
That protects from cold winter nights
 
We don't know that we have a bed under us
That keeps us warm
 
We take for granted of what we have
Freedom of speach
Freedom of who we love
Freedom of how we live
 
Prayers are meant to be heard
But some arn't awnsered

Love this! I know I'm guilty of praying for selfish things, but also that life has a way of knocking you down again and setting your priorities straight. Very interesting poem! Made me think:)
