It's a bit sappy, but here goes...



I used to believe love would never come,
But when I gave up hope is when I found the one!
We met and became close friends
And I knew our friendship had no end.

We found our conversations were oh so fun
And her kindness was next to none.
The other was there when we needed a friend
A feeling that no words could ever send

But what happened next, I did not expect
But I should've in retrospect.
The bud of friendship flowered to love
For someone found this lone dove.

Whenever I take time to reflect,
I find something I only began to suspect:
I am so much happier when in love
Which is something I had never thought of.

Who was lost found the lone dove
Who in turn had discovered love.
When I told her, I didn't know what to expect
But I was needlessly afraid in retrospect.

The time I spend with her is never enough
For there's so much I want to speak of.
I could never feel happier, I suspect
For love has made fear a tiny speck.

The limits of my love knows no end,
For it is on her that I depend
To talk and always have fun
Through the setting of the sun.

She's now far more than my best friend
And when I'm down, on her I can depend.
Now my fear is nil and none
For I have fin'ly found the one.
