Just Don't Depend on Make up!

While I don’t wear make- up, that doesn’t mean that you guys don’t. Personally, I don’t have a problem with make-up, my mother wears make up, my little sister wants to wear make up and I follow make-up gurus on You tube. I just don’t wear make up because it can get expensive, don’t know how to put on make up because I don’t want to learn how to, too lazy to go through the make up process and etc ;p. I think of Make-up as an addition to the face because it can even bring out facial features more, which is cool, but depending on make-up is not the way to go. Make-up is a thing of this world, which means it can be here one day and gone the next day, so if you’re depending on it to make you feel better and is the only time you feel beautiful is when you wear make up…..you just might want to stop! Some ladies will not be seen without their make up by the public, their friends or even their partner. That is just too much. Sure, it is not hurting anybody else, but it is not helping that person! Make-up is not your face, it is on your face. Make up is to wear, not to hide under! Considering you don’t wear make up at night, every day you have to wake up to your natural face and if you can’t appreciate what you have there without the make-up, then you just may need to spend some more time without make-up. If you can honestly look at yourself without that make-up and not be afraid or ASHAMED of what you see, that is beyoutofull! Make-up can cover up pimples and other facial issues that may not be so pleasant but it’s not meant to cover up your face and cover YOU. That make-up is not YOU and we can’t depend on it to make us feel beautiful, be beautiful, and feel better because it can be taken away.
When you were born, your parents looked at you and thought you were the most beautiful thing they ever seen….no make- up in all. You don’t need that make-up to be beyoutofull or because you’re not beautiful. You are with or without it. Don’t let me have to convince you, you are….you got to know yourself that you are! Besides if you can look that beautiful with the make-up, what makes you think that you can’t without it ? That is still your face under all that make-up ya know ?

Wow, okay, I'm pretty late here but I feel like it needs to be said.

To start, let's think about confidence. Confidence is not forcing yourself to be comfortable with who you are. Gaining confidence is about building yourself into someone that you can be proud of and learning that you don't have to feel like something is wrong with you. And, of course, helping people gain confidence is important! It can make a world of difference in someone's life.

Now we can look at make-up. Make-up isn't about resculpting yourself, twisting yourself into someone that you like more! And furthermore, people don't wear make-up for someone else. You'd probably feel uncomfortable going into school naked, right? Your clothes are also a thing of this world. They aren't a part of you, but you use them to feel comfortable around other people. If wearing make-up makes someone feel comfortable, they should wear it to their heart's content. I understand what you're trying to do here, to encourage people that they don't need make-up to be beautiful inside and out, and this is a wonderful message, don't get me wrong! But I think you're taking it too far. You're saying that they shouldn't need make-up to feel beautiful, that there is something wrong with the way that they help themselves feel more confident. Nobody has any right to tell you or anyone else what's right for them. If concealer makes you feel like you can blend in a little more, if brightly colored lipstick makes you feel like you stand out more, if winged eyeliner makes you feel like an archangel coming down from heaven, then you go right on ahead! As long as you aren't hurting anyone else, you can do whatever you want to feel happy with who you are. That's all there is to say on the matter.

Hello Intrepidechoes, Thank you for your comment. Really good points made there. Indeed, if that's what someone wants to do and they get the desired effect that they wanted...nothing wrong with that. Be it glam, boldness, etc etc.
God Bless!
