Society and Their View on S.ex

So, me and a few of my peoples were having a discussion on whether s.ex is actually a bad thing or if it is just society's view on the topic. If it is just society's view, why do they say it's bad?

I'm pretty sure it all just goes back to religion. In my opinion, it's a natural thing. I don't really care when or with who people have sex. I'm not going to judge them. It's their choice.

I just think it's kind of sad how everyone is like to little kids, "No! You can't talk about s.ex! It's inappropriate!" I wish people would just see that it really is a part of life, and not always say its taboo or whatever.

I'm not saying that people should go around and have s.ex whenever they want to, but why make the subject taboo? Why can't we even talk about it without people going, "eww why are you talking about that." You know?

To bring up another point from that conversation, Tessi: If it wasn't taboo, wouldn't it be less of "Oh, I'll rebel by doing this!" sort of thing? If it was more of a casual and accepted subject, there would be less of people trying to show that they weren't blocked by the rules society imposed upon them. I just think there would be less of teen pre.gna.ncies and unwanted children that way.

Honestly, I like the ancient Egyptian's view of s.ex: Everyone does it, it's natural so you might as well embrace it.  That said, I'll probably wait until marriage, but I certainly don't condemn those that don't wait.  It's just easier to wait; less heartbreak and diseases.

As for society's view, I think it's a huge problem.  The media is making younger and younger kids more s.exual, yet it's still 'bad' if you actually talk about it in a mature fashion.  Giving kids the right information is apparently bad, even if the media giving false information and completely unrealistic expectations isn't.  There really needs to be more dialogue on the subject so kids will accept it as natural and not obsess over it.

I totally agree with you on all of that.

That's the thing with society these days. Nothing is wrong with se.x.

You were made to have it, it's a sacred thing between a husband and wife, but because it has become a 'fun pastime' it is no longer sacred.

It's been twisted, se.x in and of itself is nothing vulger or disgusting, it's the having it out of wedlock that is vulger and disgusting.

S.ex outside wedlock has always happend, it's just people are more open about it now.  To me, it's up to the person. If they want to, they should. If they want to wait, they can. I'm for freedom, freedom legally and freedom to live happily without commdenation. How or when  or with who someone as s.ex is none of my bussness.

BrianaK: It's only awkward if you make it.  Many people's parents, including my own, did have s.ex outside of marriage.

I think that if you actually know and like each other, it's ok. You guyses parents probably liked each other before they were married.

Someone_Like_You: Haha, my parents lived together for two years before they were married!  They knew each other pretty well when they eloped to Mexico to get married.

BrianaK: Sorry for the misunderstanding.  But if this chat is making you 'awkward', then don't look at it.

S.ex is not bad. Anyone who dissagrees is an idiot. I do not think people should have s.ex before marrige, I know someone whose life was ruined because of it.

Personally, I don't think s.ex before marriage is a bad thing, depending on the circumstances. Yeah, if you're like, thirteen then it's not a good thing. I mean, you're still a child! Me, on the other hand, I lost my v-card to the man I love an intend to marry at fifteen, and we've been together for almost two years now. But let me add one thing-it's ALWAYS protected.

Actually, as far as what i see, society excepts s.e.x. and it's taken lightlyy almost. There are tons of shows about teen pregnancy, and lots of realtiy tv shows where people go around hooking up. I think it's too loose, almost, but, still, s.e.x isn't bad. It's really good, a gift, you just have to use your power to make another human child wisely. Don't hook up just for the hell of it. Beside, if sex didn't exist, we couldn't survive and repopulate, so, it can't be that bad :)

The only reason se.x is bad is because it is a responsibility and some people arn't ready for it. Society condemns all sorts or thimgs and se.x (before marriage) is onr of them
