What do you consider Beauty?

peacelover posted this thread...

Beauty can be anything or everything you see, feel, hear, taste. What I want to know is, what is beautiful for you and why. To me everything God created is beautiful, because He would never make anything ugly or wrong (that means you are ALL beautiful in your own way) So yeah tell me what you think :)

I agree with what you said to a certain extent. I believe everything He has created is beautiful, but sometimes the bad decisions we make over time can cause us to lose our beauty. If that makes sense, I don't know.

Totally. Well Put. MY opinion of beuaty, is, a narrower face, like, not round or normal plain oval. High cheekbones, blue or green eyes, typically caucasion. Nothing personal, just my fav. Of course, there have always been exceptions for me. Brown eyed, messy haired, roundish faced guy I loved once. :) It's really who you are that makes you beautiful. If you're in ove, everything's beautiful.

I consider beauty to be natural. I mean, yes i may sound a tad hypocritical because i only feel beautiful when i have makeup on. But, beauty is natural, and I myself need to realize it. My momhas always told me "Fake it Til You Make It", meaning that if you dont feel pretty, then keep telling yourself that you are every single day, even if you dont believe it. but if you keep telling yourself that you are, then you will believe it one day. :D

For me, beauty is not just about being beautiful. It's about feeling beautiful. Everyone is beautiful. But not everyone sees the beauty in their own selves because they're too busy considering other people beautiful when they haven't even looked at the mirror and tell themselves that they're beautiful or admire this one thing in them that should be admired. The beauty in ourselves is often ignored. I feel beautiful but people don't think I am. My mom says I'm beautiful, so I believed her. If people don't consider me beautiful then it's their opinion. I don't want to care but I still feel insecure. I want to stop but still. :(

AnotherOutcast: I'm sure you are a beautiful person, inside and out :)

As for how I see beauty, it really is what's on the inside that counts, as I'm sure you've all heard more than you care to. I'm definitely not confident in the way I look, but what teenage girl is? We are all God's creations, whether we realize it or not. I'd rather be remembered for my personality than my looks any day.

When you brush arms with a person, and you feel sparks rushing through your bloodstream, that's beauty. When you see a twinkle in a young child's eye as you tell them a story of when you were their age, about the trouble you used to get into and about the adventures you had, that's beauty. When you see a seeing eye dog sit faithfully beside its owner, willing to do anything and everything, that's beauty. When a mother bear roars in challenge at any threat to her cubs, for the sake of keeping them safe at all costs, that's beauty. Beauty, to me, is not in looks, but in actions. What one person finds ugly, opens a door for another to fall in love.

I can look at anybody who might not be considered beautiful and I can find them pretty. :)

Everyone and everything is gorgeous. But its the way you carry yourself that makes you truly beautiful

Yes, totally! There's diferent kinds of beauty, the physical appearance, and the personality, and the actions. You might be attracted to someone because they physically are pretty, but for me personally, I am rarely impressed by physical appearances, which is a sort of blessing. If I find their personality, and/or their actions attractive, then I can realize their physical beauty as well but until then I tend to not notice someone's appearrance that much. Their actions might not fit with what you believe to be their personality, but if they are better than you would have expeted from them based on their personality, that can make them more beautiful. You can think of them in a new light, as maybe being nicer than you gave them credit for, and that leaves the possibility of a more beautiful personality. And then there's just personality, where they don't necessarily do things that hint at a beautiful person but simply are one already. They might be immensely kind or generous, or wonderfully intelligent (for a change, lol), or amazingly loyal, or tend to be very honest etc.  These are all traits I value more highly than other ones in comparison, even though honesty might not always be good to hear, lol. I personally prefer the truth to sugar-coating things. So what if I'm pi**ed about it for the time being, I overlook it in light of the honesty as opposed to deception. Granted, don't be rude with it, but be honest. But that's just me, I know some people prefer the deception to the truth, especially if that would be about you and in front of other people (ha, I watch too many crime shows). Anyway, yeah. Physical, Mental/Emotional, and Actions. All important factors in their own way.

I think Zack was, though now I suppose it's Brennan. Darn writers. :( I was equally annoyed with the final episode of Lie to Me. Killer App? What was that, revenge of the Zack-haters?

What was your fav corpse? If that doesn't sound too creepy. I mean, like, place or condition it was discovered in.

Lol I used to be grossed out but I've never been the throws-up-at-such-sights type. I think it's a case of what doesn't kill me makes me stronger, I've developed quite the resistance to nausea :) Yeah, the aliens in a spaceship one was pretty interesting looking, and who couldn't love the Santa in the Slush?  I liked the babe in the bar, the corpse I mean, not just the episode, because who doesn't love death by a giant chocolate bar? And hmm...the glowing bones in the old stone house, and the pink fuzzy one!!!!
