Well, AquaFire, do not read Twilight, that's for sure. I politely suggest The Knife Of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness, the Gone series by Michael Grant, and Shiver and Linger by Maggie Stiefvater. Tell me how they are!

I've read Twilight and thought it was good but not the best and I diffently didn't obsese over it. I've also read Shiver, but not yet Linger. I liked it a LOT better than Twilight but then again, I am a HUGE wolf lover and wolf proection acitivest. I'll check out the others though. Thanks!!

You should read the Wake series by Lisa McMann. There are three books in the series and they are all very good, short reads. Very enjoyable though and good reads. :3
I love all of Nicholas Sparks. They are adult novels and I'd consider them light romance. He's the man that wrote Message in a Bottle, A Walk to Remember, The Notebook, Nights in Rodanthe, Dear John, and The Last Song which were made into films. He also has many other books. I am a huge fan of his book The Choice. He has so far published a total of 16 books including one non-fiction account of him traveling with his brother after both of his parents and his sister died around the same time called Three Weeks With My Brother.

Try something a little old, but classic. It has more meaning to it than most shallow, modern romances and captures days gone by with wonderful character development. If you have not read it already, read Gone With the Wind. (I just finished re-reading it yesterday)

I just finished reading Perfect Chemistry, it was really great. Its a modern day West Side Story/ Romeo & Juliet and is written really well. I stayed up till like 3 in the morning because I couldn't put it down

I love Nicholas Sparks, too. Some people say that he can't be my favorite author yet just because I've only read two of his books- Dear John and The Last Song. Do you have any Nicholas Sparks suggestions?

Some of its romance, and some of its action but I got to say...my FAVORITE romance book of all time has to be The Princess Bride..."as you wish"
