My sympathies to everybody who was affected by this.

I personally think it was just a nutjob.  It wasn't nearly as effective as it could've been and there were no statements made about it, sounds like a violent, deranged person to me.

Well, the first bomber was gunned down in Watertown, a suburb a few miles away from Boston last night. The second one got away and they're initiating a manhunt. Boston and the surrounding areas are on lockdown.

The other guy is down too. Talk about "full weight of justice". I just hope no one was hurt in the shootout -- the situation is a little murky right now.

They got him! Hat's off to the hostage negotiator who came on the scene and convinced him to give up and all the police personnell and civilians who aided in his capture.

Wow, people can really be idiots.

By Friday morning, the Boston Police Department was using social media to try to contain the threat stemming from too many ears on its radio communications: The department sent out a Tweet pleading with people to stop sharing tactical information gleaned from the scanner feeds.
"WARNING," the department declared. "Do Not Compromise Officer Safety by Broadcasting Tactical Positions of Homes Being Searched."

People seriously, how much did you want to get out of your home?

All in all im glad its done.

the point of a terrorist atack would be to cause terror, thus the name. I would say that bombs at a race killing some and wounding others would cause terror. a race isn't suposed to be dangerous, but if normal things that are suposed to be safe can get people killed, they're going to be sucesfully terrorized.

It's simply awful. R.I.P. for those who died in this tragedy. Thoughts and prayers are with the families suffering grief. Luckily they caught one of them; the other is dead. Not that I wished that upon him or anyone else. But God punishes those who do wrong. Amen?
