Has anyone else been turned off football recently? Up until recently I was a huge football fan and would watch every match I could from every league in most countries, but recently i don't really bother if i miss a match or not, and i have lost some interest in following up and coming players, the champions league and so on. I don't know why it is but part of the reason might be that no matter how much I try I just can't condone football players earning 200 thousand a week and stuff like that while I see so many people struggle to even eat or have their heating on in the real world, people having to rely on food banks to eat and stuff I find it hard to get excited and cheer for individual footballers earning ridiculous amounts of money just for doing something they love to do. It almost feels like the footballers are part of a different world now, like we can't relate to anything about them. Anyone else feel like this?
I only ever watched the SuperBowl anyways :P
However I don't think there's a problem with some jobs (like professional football players) paying exorbiant rates of money. We can't put a limit on how much people are allowed to get paid :/
I think she's referring to soccer, not American football. Either way I've never been a huge sports person.
Soccer's always been lame to watch. Try College football. No pay. :)
. . . . Unless you're Cam Newton.
