Let me begin by saying I can't imagine how difficult it must be for you, and I'm sorry that happened. This is one of those situations where you really can't understand what someone went through if it hasn't happened to you, and then, it's still different, so it isn't really your friends' faults, they MAYBE just don't know how to deal with it. Still, this isn't an excuse for their behaviour, which is unsensitive and unsupportive. I am doubting if these people are really your friends, or maybe they are just confused and scared, and unsure of what to say. You have to explain to them how you feel about this, and how this incident made you feel. Tell them straight up how it has effected your life and hurt you, and how you need their support, not judgement and belittlement. If they don't give it to you and continue, it's time to find different friends, in the form of a support group, or a parent, or events/courses outside of school. All you really need is one or two people who are TRYING to understand and listen, but the more the merrier.
Also, I'm not sure where you are on the coping process.. if you haven't already, you should talk to a counsellor or a parent about this situation, a counsellor being better because they can offer you the steps towards recovery. A lot of people think that a counsellor is something only problemed people and weirdos go to, but that's not true. Counsellors are there to help you with traumatic moments in your life in a way that is professional, clear-cut and helpful :D
ANYWAY, depending on how you feel, you can take different steps (counselling vs just getting out there and meeting new people).
Also ... since this is TeenInk, you could maybe do some writing on this subject? Writing always helps me figure things out, because it turns from my story, to just a story I can step back and look at. I don't know, it makes things clearer sometimes. It cannot replace the other things I mentioned, but it could just make you feel a tiny bit better..
I hope I helped you, sorry for such a huge essay :P and I hope I didn't sound too naggy or something... once again, I can't really understand what you're going through ... but this is everything I've heard on the subject :) good luck.
