Hey everyone on TeenInk :D

I know compared to many other forums out there, this isn't such a huge deal, but, I just wanted to ask for some tips about dealing with flus and colds and coughs, etc. A few days ago I woke up, and I felt really, really bad. My throat aches, I can barely speak, I feel natious, I have frequent headaches, and I have to blow my nose every two seconds. I thought it would get better, since I'm pretty healthy and the rare times I get sick, I can get over it pretty fast, but, I just keep feeling worse and worse and worse. Anyone have any tips on taking care of viruses quickly, or any tips on how I should deal with feeling so gross?

From what I've learnt so far about colds and flus: water and rest.

They are self-limiting illnesses (they go away on their own due to the body's defences). There's not really much that you can do to lessen their duration.

As for the feeling of wellbeing: hot showers, honey and lemon tea (other hot drinks, particularly teas night also help), and probably a few other things could help make you feel a little better temporarily though.

Also remember to keep yourself occupied! Sitting around doing nothing might cause you to dwel and feel worse.
