Cool, good idea. I'm trying to drop some weight...I'm at 220 pounds, my goal is 180. Eating right has been so difficult, I can't help but cheat, but I've been running on the treadmill each night.

I'm not sure how to lose weight..I've tried before but gave up! I'd really like to be 9 stone by chirstmas ish..any ideas? Thanks x

I don't have a working scale, but I think I'm around 135-140 pounds, nad I looked it up and with my height (I'm short XD) I should be closer to 115. I'm trying to lose 20 pounds by my next birthday.

Sun, I know how you feel about the cheating thing. DX It's hard sometimes. How long/fast do you treadmill?

Good job Hope! *high five*

Siaaan, I looked it up and that means you weigh around the same as I do(1 stone = 14 pounds), and you're about the same height. I ride my bike a lot, about six miles at least twice a week, and I go on long walks. Eating is weird for me, because  have a lot of allergies, but I've been trying to get in two fruits/veggies a day, and stop buying as much candy. ;D The last also helps because I'm trying to save up.

Heya! This is a great idea. :P I'm trying to not precisely lose weight, just get in shape. I'm 5'2" and 125 pounds and built kind of stocky, so I don't think I'm too fat, but I want to get in shape. I've been trying to snack less (my big weakness) but because I'm a kinda-vegan vegetarian, I don't worry too much about big meals. Do you have any tips for getting more exercise? In my neighborhood, it's really hard to run because there are a TON of huge hills, and I can't go very far without getting out of breath. -_- I tried biking but it really bored me. XD We have a nordic track (it's like a treadmill kind of, but it's like skis instead) downstairs, but it's old and kind of broken. :/

Same with me! The Nordic Track bit anyway, my dad has had one for years, but it hasn't worked since I was like four and my oldest sister used it. I tried to get it to work last year, but it has a busted spring or something...

My neighborhood is really hilly too, I bike outside it where the roads are flatter. I tired running, but it's boring for me. 0.o Believe it or not, jump rope is actually really good exersize. And you don't need a lot of space for it. You could try that. :)

Haha yeah those things are pretty sad. I think that the tension is just a little messed up, so I'm going to try to fix it. Jump rope? I've got to try that . . . XD Dig out an old jumprope. :P

And wow, that's amazing, Hope! And Sun and Siaaan, one thing I found helps to set a weekly goal. Not something crazy, but just like a goal to exercise at least 20 min or more a day or something. I just started doing it and if you can stick to it it can help. I might try posting my goals and stuff here if anyone else wants to too. :)

*does happy dance* Guess who's lost weight!? I borrowed my grandmother's scale last night. Months ago I got weighed at the doctor, and I was 134 lbs then, and I know I'd gained some since, but last night I was 133! 8D And I'm an inch taller than last time I was at the doctor's. So I don't know how much I've lost, but I can see that I'm smaller. (whoo-hoo!)

I set a goal of biking six miles at least twice a week. In all that's about 40 minutes each time, and it seems to be working.
Little rewards to go with the little goals are good too, like I let myself have a bit of candy or a soda when I bike. Or something. And when I reach my goal of 115 lbs (it might change if I get taller) I'll do something like get myself something cool.

I'd love to be a part of this, if you guys wouldn't mind!! I'm several pounds over the "healthy" weight for my height and age group, and I think support would be just the thing I need to drop the weight!! I have a bad habit of eating really well during the day, then pigging on chips and desserts in the evening when I watch TV or do my homework. I try not to, but it's just so hard to resist all of the carbs in my fridge and cupboards. I exercise every day, or at least I try to. My goal is to lose 10 pounds over the course of the year.

Can I join? I'm 14 and 175 lbs. My goal is 135, which means I need to lose 40 lbs.

Yes you guys can join!

Pen, I don't have your problem, but I think if I could I would. :/ I can't because I have Type One Diabetes, and can't eat at certain times, which is probably a good thing, actually, as it stops me from eating and gives me good self control. I used to have really bad self control, until I was diagnosed, and then I was forced to develop some. Now I can hold an open bag of candy for hours and not touch it. Practice is everything. XD
I suggest forcing yourself to do something else when you feel like eating junk food at night. Anything. And making sure there's nothing around you that you can eat helps. If you're sitting and doing homework, don't let yourself get up to get anything. And when watching TV, could you do something else with your hands? My sister knits while watching TV, and you can't really eat with your hands full. :)
