Okay, so the other day in my English class we were talking about Lord of the Flies, and if you've read the book there's that epileptic boy named Simon in it. Well, my teacher started describing symptoms of Epilepsy, and I was really surprised to hear that some of the things I've been dealing with most of my life are considered signs of Epilepsy.
Here's the rundown: Every month or so, I get this weird sensation where most of my body goes numb, there's this ringing in my ears, and I lose total vision. Like I'm awake and aware, I'm just blind to the world. Like my vision goes all grainy and then it just blacks out. My balance goes all out of whack too. Other times I get dizzy, the same ringing in my ears, and I start seeing different colored spots.
I always thought this was normal, and I told my parents, and now I'm getting an EKG soon...I really hope I don't have epilepsy...but I also hope I do, because if it's not that, what is it?!?!?!
That must be really tough, but whatever it is, you'll get through it. You are strong, even if you don't feel like it now. And whatever this is will only make you stronger. Let us know how the testing goes!
don't worry....if you do have it you will get through it.....God always has a plan for you....(sorry if your not christian) but you caan get through this....you are tough
two of my best friends are epileptic, and i will just say that their lives are completely normal. the doctors just put them on meds to make their lives easier+ they dont have to deal with seizures anymore, they just have to remember to take their meds. regardless of the outcome, you'll be fine :)
