No time left for redemption

Blood, it was everywhere. But why? Why did it ever have to come to this? Grabbing his head and trying to think of a reason, Jin did his best to try to understand what he was thinking. Why did killing others feel so good? Was it because he had no other feeling left for him to enjoy? Could all he could enjoy now the feeling of adrenaline from killing other people? Is ending the lives of innocent people that only thing he could ever be good at now? Why did he come to this, just how did it happen? Jin shook his head and continued to walk on. There was no way he could ever make up for what he had done so far, but there was always a chance that he could try to redeem himself. The only problem with that was that he was an internationally wanted criminal. He had been responsible for assassinating over 15 of the world’s leaders. To Jin, it may have seemed too late to try to redeem himself. Yet, what puzzled him was that he couldn’t remember why he became a monster like so. All he could do was hiding from other people, and keep the smile on his face. If it is too late for redemption, then maybe he should continue with his lifestyle. Yet, there might be a way to redeem him still. The raging battle within Jin’s mind gave birth to a severe headache. Jin left the scene of the horrid crime to go back to his hideaway in the mountains.

“Why… Why did it ever come to this?” Jin questioned. “I can remember now… there was a girl, one that cared for me… As I did to her. There was a fight with someone, and I snapped. I felt an unbearable amount of rage unleash within me, and I let it out on them. After that, I had killed my first person. I had killed… my love.”

Jin fell to his knees, and began to cry. Why, why did he start such a horrific bloodshed? It was his fault. He had let in to the rage he felt. It was then the catalyst of his rage was completed. If he had tried to contain his rage then maybe, maybe he wouldn’t be in this position right now. After about 10 minutes of crying without end, Jin got up, and picked up his sword. It was stainless steel, blood all over it. It was in the shape of a saber, with the hilt being made of lion’s teeth. The pommel was in a crescent shape. It was as if he were meant to become like this. If holding such a horrid blade as this, maybe there was something in his future that had involved swordplay. His outfit, it seemed so evil-like, with a sign of sense of insanity. Blood covered the entire uniform. Jin shook his head again, and walked towards the exit of his hideout. He had set explosives ready to detonate whenever he needed so in case of anyone trying to sneak in and take his possessions. Jin didn’t even turn back, but pushed the trigger for the explosives.

A deafening sound erupted from the area, surely to attract unwanted attention. However, no military could ever amount to Jin. He was a phantom; no one could ever catch him off guard, or even see him without being killed. Jin smiled, and continued to walk away from the remains of his hideout. If possible, he would do what he could to redeem himself. Doing so would involve revealing himself to the public, sure to get him killed immediately. Jin dug in his left pocket until he came up with a pendant. A pendant in which he had forgotten he had, until now. “Though they may see me in a different light now,” Jin promised. “I shall repay for my sin, little by little, even if it means death for me. If I know it is the right choice, I know you will be happy also… I will never forget my greatest mistake, and hope you can forgive me… my love.” Jin broke out in tears again, but quickly swept it away. Jin looked at his sword, and threw it as hard as he could, as far away from him as possible. “The old phantom is dead.” Jin bellowed. “If you wish to kill me, I will not accept it. I am here to repay for my sins, and to repay a debt to a loved one. If you have a desire to kill me, do wait until I’m finished with my business.” Jin jumped down a slope of the mountain, and started to approach fast speeds rapidly. Jin stuck his shoes into the ground, and began to slide down the slope. It was time he helped someone, it was time he became a hero rather than a villain.
