I could feel the sweat dripping down my hot face. My eyes darted back and forth, dying to find a
way out of this newly discovered hell. His grip was strong on me, and I could not escape his
grasp. His name is Beowulf, and he is truly the strongest human ever to cross my path. All day,
my mouth watered at the thought of returning to Herot and feasting on the succulent human
flesh, but at this moment the only thing I could focus on was getting out of this horrible place.
On we raged, our battle hot and fierce. The only sounds in the room were our struggling grunts
and the sounds of the table and chairs crashing to the floor as we destroyed them with the force
of our bodies being thrown onto them. We struggled in this manor for hours, both sides at a
stalemate in who would be victorious. Just before, it seemed, him and I were about to collapse
from this forever long debacle, Beowulf in one swift movement tore my right arm completely
apart from my body. Instant heat formulated on my right side and traveled quickly throughout the
rest of my aching body. I let out a cry so loud and shrill, it cracked a glass jar on the opposite end
of the room. As soon as I realized what had just happened to me, I ran out of that miserable
place. I crashed through the doors and ran as fast as my limp body would carry me all the way
back to my desolate little hole in the ground. By the time I made it home, I was immensely weak.
I felt faint with the amount of blood loss and tried my best to stagger to my mound of dead
leaves and grass I used as a bed. After I collapsed onto my mound, I continued to feel sharp pains
emanating from my right shoulder. I tried to lift up my right hand, but there was nothing there to
lift . My right side felt vacant, cold, void of something important to my body. I was still in great
shock of the events that occurred tonight. For the first time ever, I was truly scared for my life.
Thanks to Beowulf, my life is now coming to an end. I just wished I could have eaten Beowulf, I
imagine he would have been delicious.
