Favorite Quote:
"You love someone, you open yourself up to suffering, that's the sad truth. Maybe they'll break your heart, maybe you'll break their heart and never be able to look at yourself in the same way. Those are the risks. The thought of losing so much control over personal happiness is unbearable. That's the burden. Like wings, they have weight, we feel that weight on our backs, but they are a burden that lifts us. Burdens which allow us to fly..."
-Dr. Jack Hodgins (Bones)

The dove is not a majestic bird

It is not the country’s emblem

However, the dove is what we strive for

It is the hope that keeps society going

Hope that we can have a better society

Hope that tomorrow will be better

Hope that we can change the world for better

It is the things you veterans do that gives us this hope

You risk your lives so we have the freedom to fulfill these hopeful dreams

And those that died in combat have also give us those freedom that we love

Even if it’s not war, you do small things for us in our everyday lives

Doing that one act of kindness

Helping a kid understand how lucky he is

Reminding us what this country means

So this Memorial day, keep the dove in mind

We all strive for peace

And while we may not get at once

We can hope to achieve peace

With one random act of kindness at a time
